Probably. The main idea was always play the chess game as intended until you can Silence your own pieces, buff, go face for lethal. But a giant played on the outside could be hard to deal with as well, then just push face with that instead.
Leave this up into turn 10 or later? Get ready for double Pyroblast to the face next turn! Or 10 mana double Arcane Missiles! Both equally terrifying. LO
Could also have a single copy of Mass Dispel if you come up against a lot of opponents with taunt minions. If the deck goes off as planned you could generate one randomly, but could be a good tool to have if needed. And maybe drop in a Yogg-Saron, Hope's End for the hell of it as well!
I actually don't think you can profit from a nerf if you craft it. Because you'd spend X and then get X back from a disenchant, leaving you a net profit of zero dust. The only real way to profit from a nerf is to open golden as you mentioned, then DE when nerfed, craft normal, pocket the dust difference.
Sorry if I didn't make myself clear in my original post.
Seems powerful but not enough for what it should do at 10 mana.
It's good that it has bad stats for its cost ('cause Mage is a thing), since the other 10 mana legendary is quite broken if you get it from Conjurer's.
The bad thing though... if they Conjurer's and get this, they just cast it on him again from the Twinspell
I was just searching to see if this thread existed because I personally haven't seen many of them at all. And while I haven't been opening a ton of Classic packs lately, I had a few saved from past brawls after they said new cards were coming, plus a few more here and there from gold or quests.
I still haven't opened a single new Classic card from the recent patch. Not even the common Druid card, Gift of the Wild. In fact I still need a second copy of Call of the Void and that card's been out for a while now!
I've thought about crafting High Inquisitor Whitemane but I don't want to spend that much dust so close to an expansion, when she's not seeing much play right now anyway.
As soon as they told us what this brawl was going to be for the Fire Fest-EVIL week 3 I thought it sounded fun, but could end up just being one or two decks and nothing else. Judging by the comments I'm seeing that is exactly what happened!
My opinion is I want the Priest and Rogue quests in golden, because so far they are the most likely cards in the set to see a nerf in the future. If one did get nerfed and I had it in gold I'd dust, craft regular, and then have 1600 profit for another legendary or some epics.
Overall, I like the way the quests are being done this time around, and some have great potential. Looking forward to next week!
Do you think that death knight cards also count? If I remember correctly, Tess Greymane replayed cards that you got from Arfus and The Lich King, right?
Cards from Ysera usually count as well. I was wondering if tri-class cards in Wild would trigger the condition, but I'm going to go with no. Mainly because it says "Add". Not sure if that includes drawing them... but then if it doesn't, Academic Espionage doesn't help this quest progress either. So maybe it counts if you draw a card from another class (or that can be from another class if tri-class are still acting as "from another class" in Wild decks)
I'm curious to know if inspiration for this came from all the spell generating Mana Cyclones that mages are playing lately?! Regardless, it looks fun as hell.
EDIT: I hope the pro/rel system comes from the Master's Tour stops. I mean, I would assume as we've already seen Dog's replacement was second place finisher from the last Master's tournament, Gallon. Probably would have brought up the Master's winner if it wasn't the guy already stepping down from Grandmasters.

It doesn't say "friendly minions" so... I would think they do. Might have to test it out.
Oh damn! I was looking at it during a lunch break earlier and didn't even notice the Battlecry. Just figured it was more like Sea Witch for spells.

Also came here for that. Could be a holiday brawl page if it's not the card backs
I prefer candy canes over ginger bread.

That didn't take long...

I like how the conceited Blood Elf in the Hearthstone shorts uses this. It's fun!
I like it!
Someday...
Someday.
