  • Following Demonxz95, I have also replaced the AI images in this expansion with artwork created by humans :) I've also replaced the human-made artwork of a few cards with more fitting pieces.

While I was at it, I've also renamed the keyword Outsized as Undersized. I, a non-native English speaker, thought "outsize" meant "surpass in size", working similar as words like "outmatch" or "outplay"... But I was wrong, as both "outsize" and "outsized" simply mean huge, which is exactly the opposite of what I was going for. I think the new name makes much more sense.

Finally, I've made some balance changes. Namely, I added the Demon and Elemental tags to Sierpes and Radiant Lightjaw, respectively; and removed the Combo trigger of Noxious Scolopendra (it compared too well to Apothecary Helbrim).

Hope you enjoy it. Oh, and if I missed any AI image, let me know :)

  • So, Adapt returns, Quests return, Elise returns, we have a new card cycle based on the OG Quests and the expansion keyword is like the Elemental synergies that were introduced in Un'goro.

Damn, I expected nostalgia bait, but not this much 😂

Gonna give feedback now. I'm sorry this took so long but the entire past month has been littered with me having some sort of health problem and now I'm FINALLY starting to get out of it, so here we go!

I enjoy the way you've brought back Colossal and put your own spin on it this time around and it even works with Outsized too. I even admire the fact that you've found different arts for all of the Signature versions of your cards. I definitely could not be arsed to do that.

    [FEEDBACK]

Thanks for your feedback, I applied most of the changes you proposed (you can see it in the edit log).

Regarding Scorpid Dreadglaive, it's actually a real life weapon. I don't know how, but it doesn't look like a picture in the card.

EDIT: And Sinistra wouldn't affect adjoining effects IMO.

It looks good, I like it.

    Thanks, really appreciate it!

  • Thanks a lot! I'm glad you enjoyed my expansion so much!

And don't worry about feedback, first things first :)

  • Hey! I saw this a while ago, but I didn't find a good moment to give you feedback. Here it goes :)

I want to start by saying that I really enjoyed the expansion and I think it's very well done. The theme has some overlap with Rastakhan's Rumble, but the vibe you gave it is quite different, IMO. Regarding the mechanics, I like Bloodthirst a lot, it's a very natural evolution of stuff like Spellburst that still feels novel and interesting. Not so sure about Overpower, as it's the type of keyword that can be either OP or useless with not much ground in between, although I like how it synergizes with Bloodthirst.

I also wanted to ask how do the Black Market cards work. Does "card type" refer to categories like minion, spell or weapon; or Murloc, Beast, Frost, Holy...?

    Death Knight
    • I like the handbuff package and the different directions Blood and Frost push them into.
    • I really enjoy Team Builder, such an unsassuming card that goes so well with the package.
    • I like the Reborn hero, especially how the repeat Battlecry can give you some extra steam. Might push her to 6 Mana, though.
    • First Champion seems a bit dangerous with Overpower. Might nerf it to 4 Attack, IDK.
    • Does Stitches simply add the minion to your hand? I think it's balanced if that's the case, although I don't find it very exciting.

    Demon Hunter
    • Really enjoy the bodybuilding flavor. The Taunt package is nice.
    • Weightlifting is very cool and flavorful, although a bit disconnected from the set. Wouldn't change it, though.
    • I'm also worried about Champion Bodybuilder. The pontential to deal 10+ damage to token decks is very scary, although being 9 Mana kinda makes it alright I suppose.
    • If BM cards refer to "card type" as in weapon, minion, etc. Black Market Substances seems OP, as it's basically a 4 Mana draw 5 with an upside.
    • Both legendaries are very interesting.
    • I miss something to interact with the 1/1 Taunt tokens other than Bolderon. All the Taunt synergies besides it interact with Taunt minions you can put into your deck.

    Druid
    • I like the return of "5 or more Attack" Druid. I appreciate how it's related to dinosaurs.
    • I might change Ring Announcer to compare Attack instead of Cost.
    • Really like Fighting Spirit :)

    Hunter
    • Not sure if Johnny Awesome is a bit dangerous with cards outside the set.
    • Really enjoy the 2 Epics.

    Mage
    • Not sure if you gave Mage too much direct damage spells. I guess it depends on which cards are on Standard, as I don't think they'd break Wild or anything.
    • In the same regard, I'm not so sure about Pyromancer's Apprentice. As far as I know, they nerfed Sorcerer's Apprentice to oblivion mostly because of Antonidas, and this works just as well with him.
    • I also feel Heat of Battle is a bit to strong? Either that or the card Mycropian Arcanist from my set is very weak haha
    • Really like Finishing Move, Surprise Entrance and Ring of Inferno. Very creative!

    Paladin
    • Buffing both minions and weapons is a cool idea. Fits both Pally and the theme of the set very well!
    • Really enjoy Dueling Arena.
    • Maybe I'd make Hammer Instructor a 4/4? His effect seems a bit weak compared to the other instructors, so I'd give him better stats.

    Priest
    • Really like your takes on resurrect. They push the mechanic in interesting directions.
    • Wayward of Rejuvenation is also very cool.
    • Malingering seems weak compared to Hunter's Mark and similar stuff. I know the advantage is the Lifesteal, but I'd stillpush its damage to 6 or something like that.
    • Public Outrage seems frustrating to play against. Not sure how I'd remedy that, but I might make it 2 Mana for good mesure lol

    Rogue
    • Very cool and flavorful take on Coin Rogue.
    • Can Underground Gambling target cards that already cost 0? I guess not?
    • Coinage Cyclone might be more interesting with Rush. Not sure if stats or cost should be adjusted in that case.
    • The Fleetship feels dangerous, but Bounce Around exists, so IDK.
    • Might change Captain Blackmange so that you still keep your HP and the cannon has a pseudo-Inspire effect that deals damage to a random enemy. After all, Pirates tend to synergize with weapons, so getting rid of the HP in a Pirate deck is a bit counter-intuitive.

    Shaman
    • At this point feels like a formality, but I like the Spell Menagerie archetype and its execution.
    • Not sure if Spell Damage fits a lot since the only damaging spell is Blaze of Glory (which feels super dangerous with it BTW). I'd probably change the effect of Hydro-Hammer.
    • I'd reword Anthrazite as "Cast a copy of the highest-Cost spell in your starting deck. You choose the target." IDK if I'm interpreting correctly. In case there are several spells of the same Cost, I'm guessing it chooses randomly but tells you which spell it is before choosing the target, right?
    • Love Tidemaster Shellbreaker.

    Warlock
    • Really enjoy Felblazer (because of the trade-off) and Illicit Substances (because of the flavor).
    • Does Malignant Manager deal damage to your hero or to itself? I'm guessing the former.
    • A bit of a nitpick, but the 6/6 Demon should be an Infernal (and I feel the 7/7 should be a Pit Lord).

    Warrior
    • I don't get the design of Strongarm Champ. Like, the opponent probably doesn't want to attack it with small stuff given it has Overpower, don't they? Flavor is top notch, though.
    • Love the design of Knockout Punch. Rokara is also very cool.

    Neutral
    • Balance seems alright overall.
    • Some cards have excellent flavor, like Wrestling Partner, City Tourist or Fleetship Broadcaster.
    • I like the Neutral weapons, really fits the flavor of the expansion. Training Sword is really cute.
    • Natural Clergy is misspelled. Its current name is Nautral Clergy. Cool design btw.
    • Not a fan of the similarities of the two hero cards, especially considering they don't seem to be related flavor-wise. I'd probably keep Blazleflange and try to cook another legendary.

    Mini-set
    • Hexos is kinda crazy, I'd love to see him in the game, although he'd be a nightmare to code for sure. Many effects that mess with board size and stuff.
    • Bloodshedder could probably be a 2/3.
    • I don't get how does Storm of Arrows work.
    • Cards I really like: Rune Tactics, Leona Earthwind, Submission Holder, Champion's Belt, Dagger Instructor and the Teammate cycle.
    • Overall nice mini-set, I think it complements the main set very well.

  • I've noticed the same thing.

  • Love the disgusting flavor

  • Years expecting Wisp Druid and we ended up getting Wisp Mage 😔🤘

  • Very weird that Dragonscale Armament interacts with spells instead of weapons.

  • I was thinking Gwanwing Greenfin looked huge for a 1/1 and then I realized that's supposed to be a Treant, not a regular tree 😅

  • The mini-set Infinitesimal and Beyond is published! I know it's bad timing with the announcement of the next expansion, but I wanted to finish the whole thing, as I've been working on it quite a while, with the help of the wonderful people in the Custom Hearthstone Discord.

Hope you guys like it ^^

    Quote From Demonxz95

Hey, really glad to see this finally posted here! Maybe tomorrow we might see some parallels to the Emerald Dream set and this one?

After that set is announced, I might give a more thorough feedback post. The only thing I'll say now is that Black Widow looks quite weak compared to Sinrunner.

Hey! I'm happy to publish this here to be honest. I really miss the comps here, giving feedback was always the most fun part for me and I really miss that (although I don't know if I'd had the time for it nowadays)

Not many similarities with the new set, though, except for The Quantum Length from the Mini-set and the new Aviana card. Regarding what you point out about Black Widow, I've given her Taunt and +1 Health. Not sure if that'll be enough.

BTW, I checked out your Gladiators set and it's really good. I'll try giving it feedback when I can.

  • Two weeks had passed since Reno met the Mycropians and his epic diplomatic skills had already put him in jail and caused a civil war. But, perhaps more perplexing, was the fact that back then he had twice the size of an average fairy and now he was half their stature.

He then lost the track of time. Soon, his signature mustache had become a dense beard and he was as small to a Mycropian as a Mycropian was to a regular human. Able to simply walk out of his prison cell, Reno understood that his fate was to keep getting smaller and smaller…

Welcome to Infinitesimal and Beyond, a Miniset in the truest sense of the word! Join Reno Jackson in this incredible journey where he’ll meet truly tiny fauna, unicellular beings and even the fundamental particles that give shape to the universe!

    Changelog

    Changes

    2025-04-06

    • Sporespreader: Now shuffles Summoned When Drawn Spores instead of shuffling spells that summon them (in line with Illusory Greenwing).
    • Bacteriophage Virus: 3/3 -> 2/2; Now has Taunt and infects a card in your opponents hand, instead of making them draw a card and then infecting it.

    2025-04-19

    • String Theory's artwork has been replaced.

    2025-08-18

    • The keyword Outsized has been renamed as Undersized.
    • The artwork of String Theory, Chain Combustion and the token Alpha Particle has been replaced by non-AI art.
    • Adaptable Neutron has been renamed as Adaptable Isotope.

  • I guess they can always make Fizzle or his snapshot more expensive, making them more of a tempo loss.

  • I dislike the design of Mutalisk. It only works if you have Creep Tumor activated, but it's impossible it survives otherwise. 3/6, 4/5 or 4/4 would've been better statlines, IMO.

  • An appropriate thread for me to come back from the dead haha

I don't think they'd need to deviate a lot from their current approach, except printing more double non-mixed cards. This would combine the best aspects of solutions number 2 and number 4, IMO.

  • Why? Is it because Finley is a dirty traitor who sides with the Excavate gang?

Edit: Just seen the banner you made, I get it now.

  • Quote From anchorm4n

Oh my god you've basically predicted the actual card!!

Haha such a coincidence :D Although the real card is a bit more innovative.

  • Thanks for the feedback, guys. I'll go with the Crab like you both recommended. I also encourage you to participate :)

  • I'm torn between two Azerite beasts for this week:

The Boar has a more flashy effect, but the Crab has better art (although it's one of the AI generated ones they have in Hearthcards) and is slightly more flavorful, as it can be seen as a slight reference to carcinization.

Feel free to post your cards if you decide to participate in the comp!

  • I've been missing the weekly card design competition we used to have in this site since they ended. So, some time afterwards, I started to participate in the comps they have at the r/customhearthstone subreddit.

However, these comps lack the part I enjoyed the most: giving and receiving feedback. To fulfill this, I decided to make this thread, so that we can some of that fun without overloading linkblade and Demon with work.

This week's comp is Bloodrock is hiring, in which you'll have to create an Azerite reward or an Excavate card for classes that didn't receive them. There's also a secondary reward for the card with the best artwork.
