An appropriate thread for me to come back from the dead haha
I don't think they'd need to deviate a lot from their current approach, except printing more double non-mixed cards. This would combine the best aspects of solutions number 2 and number 4, IMO.
I'm torn between two Azerite beasts for this week:
The Boar has a more flashy effect, but the Crab has better art (although it's one of the AI generated ones they have in Hearthcards) and is slightly more flavorful, as it can be seen as a slight reference to carcinization.
Feel free to post your cards if you decide to participate in the comp!
I've been missing the weekly card design competition we used to have in this site since they ended. So, some time afterwards, I started to participate in the comps they have at the r/customhearthstone subreddit.
However, these comps lack the part I enjoyed the most: giving and receiving feedback. To fulfill this, I decided to make this thread, so that we can some of that fun without overloading linkblade and Demon with work.
This week's comp is Bloodrock is hiring, in which you'll have to create an Azerite reward or an Excavate card for classes that didn't receive them. There's also a secondary reward for the card with the best artwork.
Ahem, I guess he'll talk, but it'll be weird. I hope they take the One Piece approach when adapting it, because I guess it could work for Zelda.
Regarding the story, I'm guessing they'll go with either Ocarina or BotW. Both are massively popular and have stories that can be extended into film plots.
I don't get why they nerfed Tony's Cost on top of its effect. Now he's basically Archbishop Benedictus, a card that was already bad when it came out six years ago...
Or in other words, it SHOULD only cost 1 less regardless of how many of those keywords the card has, but with how Hearthstone has some spaghetti coding at times, we may not know for sure at the moment.
Fitting, given this is a spaghetti western expansion 😜🤙
I wish they had made Radio Star a collectible card in the previous expansion instead of printing Fate Splitter now.
I mean, the optimal statline for both formats is different, but damn, I like the flavor of Radio Star so much I think it's a shame it doesn't get to be a collectible card.
Edit: the expansion looks cool, especially the Titan cards.

Why? Is it because Finley is a dirty traitor who sides with the Excavate gang?
Edit: Just seen the banner you made, I get it now.
Haha such a coincidence :D Although the real card is a bit more innovative.
Thanks for the feedback, guys. I'll go with the Crab like you both recommended. I also encourage you to participate :)

Well, excuuuuuuuuuuuse me princess.

Yeah, a sign that his nipples're so hard they could scratch glass.
I'm surprised by Smokestack's similarity to Mortal Coil, given powercreep over the years.
Is it that this new card is terrible by modern standards or that the old one still holds up this day?

Azerite Giant's art is very strange. It looks AI generated (hope it's not)

...
I'll find my way out
Loved the theme, especially the whole heroes vs villains thing. Very creative expansion 😁
I did find a bit strange that Dr. Boom acted as a stand in for Lex Luthor instead of, you know, Dr. Doom haha
I'm not a fan of the concept of signature cards, but the artwork for these ones is amazing.
Baby, wake up! Spare Parts 2 just dropped!
Argus reminds me of a boomer joke from my country:
A drunk walks into a bar and says:
- Those at my left are shitheads and those at my right are motherfuckers.
+ Hey, I'm not a shithead!
- Then come to my right, motherfucker!
I have the feeling Sargeras will appear in the miniset, which will be centered around him.

To be fair, your killer season was the first one, which had way more participants. So, I'd say your wins count more xD
Lol half my wins are from this season
