I agree with most of your points.
Shaman will always be good and always changing, with a variety of possibilities. New versions will always be popping up. It's a fun quest, and the best designed of all quests (both Ungoro and SoU)
Warlock I think will always be meme status, even with more synergies for Plot Twist.
Hunter will only ever be for memes unless they reduce the requirement down to 15 minions. Even that might not be enough.
Rogue is weird. It's a powerful tool to have, but I think there will be better solutions to making the deck work. Mainly more "Discover" cards instead of "Random" cards.
Mage is useless and only fun in a Yogg deck. All praise to Yogg.
Warrior I feel will get more support going forward, but won't be viable until Boom rotates.
Paladin I think will change once year of the Raven rotates. While it won't get any further support with new Reborn minions, what it's end game plan will have some variety to it if they print some different deathrattle cards. I'm not going to underestimate this quest like everyone did pre launch.
Priest will be around for a while. They are going to HoF Divine Spirit and/or Inner Fire soon, and this will leave this quest as pretty much the only win condition for Priest.
Druid will receive more support, but will maintain being just as good as it is.

Woo got Armagedillo! The last legendary from the set I was interested in. Guess it's time to recraft [Hearthstone Card (Dr Boom, Mad Genius) Not Found]
Aggro rogue and warrior are probably the best decks for climbing right now. Both only really lose to slow warrior decks, and while those are apparently still somewhat popular, I've only faced a single one this whole weekend.
I would have to disagree. Aggro rogue is doing a lot worse than was expected post nerf. That's due to the fact that its best match up was Mage, which is basically non-existent.
Aggro warrior is better, but not much. Both are low to mid T2
I think the meta is still in flux, and there doesn't seem to be any decks really standing out as OP. Quest Druid and Shaman definitely got a post nerf bump in win rate, and I think Combo Priest is going to be making a comeback. Control Warrior's play rate dropped due to everyone dusting Dr Boom, but it will be coming back strong. It didn't take a hard enough hit to kill it.
Mage is dead. I shed no tears for it's loss. Mage players will now flock to Wild where it's T1 with Secret Mage making everyone's lives miserable.
I can't help but feel that highlander decks are so dull to play and play against. Once you know your opponent has only 1 of each spell (beyond discoverable shenanigans), playing around things becomes trivial. Most of the time, it's correct to gamble they don't have that perfect answer. If not, yay! You won! If they did, scramble for Plan B.
I get that it's fun to make each card selected that much more meaningful, but the play and counter-play seem stale.
Anyone else agree?
I think this is more of a Standard issue than Wild. There is such a variety of Highlander builds in Wild, that you never know for sure what the opponent has. Yeah there's a 99% chance that certain cards are in the deck, (like all Renolocks will have a Defile for example) but many of the cards are interchangeable, and it's fun to change the play style.
As for playing them, I find them to be really fun to play. You have to really know your deck and the meta to determine how to best use your resources. Sure there are plenty of times where you say "if only I had drawn X, I would have won the game!" but that happens with all decks anyways.
Basically, your point of gambling if they have the perfect answer or not goes for all decks. That's kind of the nature of the game. You can make educated guesses, try and make your opponent use resources inefficiently, and gamble on if they have the answer they need to what you are able to play. Whether their deck is all singletons or duplicates doesn't change this fact.

I don't necessarily care about winning. It's not like a cash prize for the winner, just a gift card to the Esports bar that it's being hosted at. That being said, I would like to at least do good. Would be a lot more fun to actually win some matches.
Mostly just looking to meet some people in my area that play Hearthstone. Bringing a unique deck is a great conversation starter!

I'm preparing for a local wild tournament that will be on 9/17! The tournament is following the same Shield Conquest format of Grandmasters. These are the 4 decks I am thinking of bringing. I want to get my lineup solidified to give me time to practice with all of the decks. Wondering if anyone has any thoughts on the decklists, or maybe have any suggestions on different decks that might be good for a tournament setting?
Burn Mage is the deck to beat in Wild atm, so I think it would be silly to not bring it. I would need to craft Aluneth which wouldn't be a problem because I have the dust and have been debating it. I just have been trying to avoid the dark side.
Was leaning towards a Renolock to have a control deck option. Debating going with a Mecha'thun variant, but thinking this deck is probably the best option.
I'm a little torn as to what to bring for the 4th deck. I'm thinking to either bring Odd Rogue, or to throw in a curve ball for fun and to throw opponents off with a Reno Dragon Hunter that I have a lot of fun with.

Evergreen shouldn't be that powerful. All the powerful Evergreen cards are slowly getting HoF'd. Moving something like Defile to Evergreen would be ridiculous. The only card that needs to be made Evergreen is Whizbang the Wonderful.
Lackey's are not a problem. There's only 3 classes that actually use them regularly. Shaman, Rogue and Warlock. Yes Quest Shaman is very prevalent right now, but the meta hasn't fully developed since the nerfs to answer to it or Quest Druid.
If you need a break from the Lackeys, just go to wild for a while. A deck running lackeys will be few and far between. Wild is honestly a lot more fun at this point. Much more variety of decks instead of playing vs the same couple of meta decks game after game.

Made a quest priest rage quit before I could play either puzzle box or Yogg :( he was at 3 health, and I had a full board. I really wanted to not attack and pray to Yogg with a puzzle box, followed by Yogg himself the next turn. Oh well... fantastic meme deck!

That's bad, but we have all done stupid shit every once in a while. The number of times I'm groggily playing my first match of the day, 5 minutes after waking up while having my morning smoke... and do something so ridiculously terrible... misplays happen. We are only human. No need to come on here and pointlessly jab at someone for being a human.
I only had two legendaries to dust, so I crafted Corrupt the Waters and Dinotamer Brann. both of these are legendaries I have wanted since the expansion released, and they aren't bad.
i'll be honest, all of those legendaries you have listed as your third option are pretty bad. you probably know that and just want to craft them for fun. I think either yogg saron, or old murkeye. yogg is a build around card and you will be able to play a bunch of decks you could never play otherwise, old murkeye is just a good card in any murloc deck. the other ones mostly seem like just random niche cards that you could easily play without.
Yeah all the 3rd options are just for fun. Not really any legendaries I NEED at this point. I was leaning towards Yogg. Old Murk-Eye I have an idea for a shaman deck running Plague of Murlocs for a potential 15+ charge.
I agree with most of your points.
Beat all 5 bosses first try. Good day to have the 5 wins 100G quest. But yeah, very disappointing to not have any incentive to beat all 5 bosses.

Hitting rank 5 in wild on day 3 of the season feels great!
I don't hate you Kaladin. People are just trolls. Ignore them

And now lost to a warrior who got 3x Armagedillo. How do I keep getting matches against people high rolling everything?
Losing to a Mage that gets 4x Ice Block is some of the biggest steaming horse shit this game hashes out.

Deck #1
I spent last month ranking with mostly Even Shaman. I used both this deck, and my Toteven Shaman list: https://outof.cards/hearthstone/decks/6799-toteven-shaman I am torn on which one to bring.
Deck #2
Burn Mage is the deck to beat in Wild atm, so I think it would be silly to not bring it. I would need to craft Aluneth which wouldn't be a problem because I have the dust and have been debating it. I just have been trying to avoid the dark side.

They got tired of hearing all the bitching about Big Priest, so now they’ll never let priest have a T1 deck again (even though BP was never T1
But with Face Collector you can get multiple [Hearthstone Card (Millhouse) Not Found]s to win even MORE games!
Give that poor little derpcorn test subject some upvotes!
I wouldn't say he's worth it, but is probably the only useful classic legendary I still need. Plus he has a place right now in Tess Rogue.
Barnes was the first one I dusted. All the built up hate for Big Priest was unleashed upon that DE button.
