Current Wild? Quest Mage? Do you even play wild? What are you talking about?
Ignite Fire Mage don't even need to run quest with Sanctum Chandler + Sorcerer Apprentice shenanigans.
Quest is too slow, Drek'thar APM Mage is the go-to.
I don't know which rank you're playing but those are the top two mage decks.
As a burgle rogue main I fully approve of all the burgle stuff, but where the hell are the deathrattles? It's impressive that a class can have 2 sets in a row with so much deathrattle synergy, yet so very little to use it with. Oh well, we can get by with Ticket Master and Infiltrator Lilian shenanigans for now, but they had better have plans to replace them when they rotate out in April.
With Reconnaissance I think team5 thinks they dont need to print anymore deathrattle cards for rogue, for like a few expansions at least.
As I see it, the biggest issue with Recon as an important component in the deathrattle package is that it does absolutely nothing for Sketchy Information (SI), so it's always going to be plan B. SI doesn't want you to run many deathrattles, so for now that's OK, but once Ticket Master and Lilian rotate out the only thing we really have left is coin generation, which is an enabler for something else, not a plan in itself. People who only ever play meta decks might not notice it, but that lack of diversity for how to use rogue cards would be very unusual.
Of course the Core set rotation can help without them needing to print new things, and I am dismissing neutrals a bit too lightly. I'm certainly interested in how SI works with Korrak the Bloodrager: if it decides there wasn't an Honorable Kill involved, then that might summon a Korrak, which would be really strong. Or it does nothing of course...
Maybe the choice not to give rogue a viable deathrattle card is deliberate, and SI has always been designed with Loan Shark in mind and nothing else.
If Im not mistaken SI has this weird anti synergy with Counterfeit Blade where it'll draw the weapon and obviously nothing will happen. Not sure if its patched up. Maybe showing that they've literally only ever tested SI with shark? Because in conventional deathrattle decks, you'd obviously fit both if you can.
Nice spotting that korrak actually has a deathrattle. If it does work as you say, then it'll work that way with all the other deathrattle synergy cards too, which means korrak is the real payoff card here with deathrattle rogue.
Well I for one have had a lot of fun with SI drawing Lilian or Ticket Master, then playing the weapon and making the opponent cry that the Forsaken Lilians and teddies never end :P The thought that SI was designed specifically for Loan Shark is exactly what I was referring to when I said "People who only ever play meta decks might not notice it...": YOU may have only played it that way, but any "trigger a deathrattle" effect is as open-ended as the number of compatible deathrattles is.
Edit: I re-read what you wrote and think I got the wrong end of the stick here. Sorry for implying you're a filthy net-decker :P
Regarding SI's interaction with Counterfeit Blade: it won't draw the weapon because the weapon gives itself a deathrattle as part of its battlecry, but isn't actually a deathrattle card naturally. I suspect Loan Shark decks didn't use both because you end up with way more coins than you need (I certainly did). SI does whiff with Necrium Blade though, so maybe that's what you were thinking of?
Could be Necrium Blade instead. But Counterfeit blade does have its own set of bugs, I havent played that card much since the last two months, it could be that its been patched up. It wasn't a pleasant experience getting my arse beaten by quest mages all the time.
Oh well, onto the next expansion. Hope its more than just a meme this time.
Yo why did I get an add popup when I clicked to open the thread?
Reveal season is officially over!
I for one am looking forward a good night's rest tonight.
Smooth operation as usual, Flux and the Gang. Well appreciated and hope you have some fine rest followed up with the fixings...
You earned it mate.
Hope you had/having something nice for dinner.
Well, they still havn't revealed the already confirmed mercs for the patch...
Riot: "You know what would be funny...?"
Elemental freeze shaman look so damn good. Windchill Sleetbreaker and Ice Revenant will make it so powerful.
Some of these neutrals are pretty nutty...
Having seen the last of the Druid set, I find Guff's Hero card really out of place. He received basically no support for it; where are the big minions or spells to necessitate having 20 mana?
Could find a home in Wild, or maybe I'm just not creative enough to spot why you would bother to run it in Standard.
Oh look quest disruption!
irondeep trogg can effectively help aggro burn down many quest decks like mage, especially if trogg goes first before quest.
Sorry, is that sarcasm or is there a card i don't understand?
Is Freeze Shaman legit or what?
