  • Does anyone know what Endgame's flavour text is referencing? It's just "2:29:55"

    Googling it didn't turn up anything that made sense.

    • At exactly 2 hrs 29 min 55 sec into “Avengers: Endgame”, Thanos says “I am inevitable!” right before trying to snap his fingers when he thinks he has the Stones.

      My guess is that they are referencing that line.  Especially since this spell specifically targets the last friendly demon that died as its rez target, because as long as no other demons die the return of that last demon is inevitable!

      • Wow, that's going deep. Clever.

  • They could put Pit Lord to the core set and decrease its cost by 1 instead of printing Malefic Rook but instead they wasted an epic slot...

    • Malefic Rook has anti-synergy with hand and aura buffs, while Pit Lord doesn't.

      • Hell yeah ! I already spotted 2 hand/deck buffs and 3 auras for Warlock.

        Let me check on it again. Oh no, there's none on Warlock ! I am shocked ! Believe me or not there is not even an AURA for warlock ! How is this possible in a class which should have TONS OF AURA.

        And this is the moment that you say "maybe they will print in future" or link some niche card like Stereo Totem or Party Animal.

         

        I didn't already said they are doing EXACTLY the same thing. The aim of my comment was the wasted Epic card slot which all of us probably cry when we open this on a pack. There are already no support for hand/deck buff Warlock. There was no point to print this instead of wasting people's epic drops. Even Tabletop Roleplayer is more epic than that enhanced reprint.

         

        • Aura = continuous buffs like Raid Leader.

        • Having both cards available in Wild will make a difference.

          "Wasted" epic slot ... give me a break.

          • hahah truly yes ! Will make our collection fatter ! obviously will make a difference. Everyone in wild waits for 4x Pit Lords.

            only for discover purposes tbh, ruining random demon additions for both Warlock and Demon Hunter. You won't see anyone put those four in their deck. Even for The Demon Seed. Are you high or trying to kidding me? Because i know you have game knowledge.

            so yeah, still "wasted" epic slot. We already got rarely epic cards from packs and I don't want to open this shit on a pack. There's even no support for its effect in this expansion and the card is just a filler and there is another card already with almost same functionality.

            If you have to make a card like this, go make it common or rare ? why are you using an epic slot for a filler ? makes no sense.

  • Big demons again, well we'll see if it'll work out this time.

     

    Game Master Nemsy - Great and all that, assuming you hit a big enough demon. But if I have to be honest, this card may actually end up getting nerfed because its basically Skull of the Man'ari all over again. You play this card, and your opponent either silences it or you get to set up a Doomguard lethal in like 2-3 turns. I would be shocked if the win rate of this card doesnt overshadow the entire deck to the point where victory hinges entirely on drawing nemsy before the doomguards.

    Cursed Campaign - Your combo piece for doomguard shenanigans. Yes they do go dormant, but unless your opponent renos it away, that's 10 damage to their face unless they set up taunts.

    Endgame - So your opponent thinks themselves smart. Kill the doomguard the same turn as nemsy and there you go, no more combo. Well, this card begs to differ. In fact, having the doomguard dead is entirely the gameplan for this end game. Another card which may end up being problematic because its just 2 mana to bring back very specifically either 5 damage to face or a massive Wretched Queen

    Table Flip - What else can be said other than the fact that it supports handlock, gives you a cheap 1-3 mana board clear.

    Wretched Queen - The card is excellent, but I feel its more likely to go into some sort of reno deck because 90% of the time youd much rather just play for a doomguard win con than stall.

    • Speaking of Skull... have you seen the supposedly leaked DH legendary on reddit?

      • Yes I have and its really toxic as hell. But with the power level of hearthstone nowadays, unless its very specifically fitting to a combo its highly unlikely to cause trouble. We've come to a point where even a big minion for free on turn 5 with charge cannot realistically be enough to win the game.

        Skull was only really toxic because it enable cube shenanigans. Without cube it'll just be a good card.

         

        That is to say, if the leaks are real. May well be faked.

        • It's fake. The ball-goblin-thingie's artwork matches exactly with the main promotional art (the background on our reveals, but it's cropped there) except it's mirror, which Blizzard doesn't do, and the OP of that post either doesn't respond to people asking for a source or is being a prick about it.

  • Wasn't in love with the signatures this round but Nemsi art is awesome. 

  • Loving all the chess and DnD references but it's a shame Mal'Ganis is leaving core come rotation. I wonder if Team 5 removed him coz he was too good with all this big demon support

    • I would guess that's exactly why.

  • This first half kind of sucks, no? It wants you to run Big Demons, so hopefully the other half of the Warlock reveal can help out there. Otherwise, what're you using? Doomguard shenanigans, maybe, now that's it back in Standard? Can't cheat out Sargeras, the Destroyer without losing his portal.

    Edit: Enhanced Dreadlord is still around, IIRC. Forgot about her.

  • Wow, I was way off with Rafaam. Granted, I forgot [Hearthstone Card (Archvillain Rafaam) Not Found] was added to Core.

    Also, I love that the Mini version of Tabletop Roleplayer is an actual tabletop mini.
