There is no Light, only power!
As a tribute to reaching 1.000 wins with a class, I've decided to craft a fully golden Wild deck of my favorite archetype. This guide covers "Shaggro Priest", my choice for Priest. I've bascially avoided the whole Priest class until Darkbishop Benedictus got released. Ever since that happened, Shaggro Priest is my go to Aggro deck. Reason enough to choose this archetype for my fully golden list over other interesting Priest playstyles like Miracle Priest, Deathrattle Priest, Reno Priest or Big Priest (rest in piss).
Competitiveness and matchups:
This is a boring meta deck. You should usually be able to pilot this to legend within a reasonable time span.
- Against other Aggro decks, a lot depends on your opener. Ship's Chirurgeon, Raise Dead and Thirsty Drifter are your MVPs.
- Control will have a hard time surviving against you, no matter how hard they try to tank up. You need to get a feeling for the right timing with this deck - when to throw out all your stuff, when to hold back a little and even - gasp - when to trade. If in doubt, just click face.
- Combo is prey. From a neutral point of view, the main purpose of decks like this one is keeping Combo in check.
Mulligan:
Keep the following cards in order of priority:
How does this win?
I've been around for quite a while, but not since day 1. Please allow me to relay to the ancient wisdom of DJ Karl the Dog who will gladly help you understand how to win with this deck. Click!
Noteable synergies and card combos:
- There are a few ideal openers for this deck: You could go Treasure Distributor (against Combo) or Ship's Chirurgeon (against other Aggro) + double Parachute Brigand + Patches the Pirate. You could also Voidtouched Attendant + Coin + Shadowbomber + one or two Frenzied Felwing(s). Unless I'm sure I play against Combo and I don't find anything better, I like to keep a Mind Sear
- Don't forget you can Mind Sear your own minions to find that last bit of damage
- Twilight Deceptor will always offer Raise Dead, Mind Sear and Mind Blast (as long as there are any copies left in your deck)
Misc and closing thoughts:
Hero portrait: I'm rotating between Banshee Tyrande, King Anduin, Kyrian Tyrande and Madame Lazul
Card Back: Card of Shadows (but damn, I wish I had Call of the Void)
... and that's a wrap! Let me know what you think about the deck in the comments! Are you a fellow wielder of power? What's your favorite Priest archetype and why?
