First off, let's give credit where it's due, I can't thank Solem enough for his amazing deck. That video seen below literally inspired me building a Highlander variant of it. Never thought I would enjoy both variants of Secret Paladins.
HOW TO PLAY?
Just like what Secret Paladins do, cycle your deck as fast as possible to reach out your alternative win-condition: Mecha'thun. To win, all you have to do is...
Discount these three cards illustrated above with Thaurissan to execute the combo at 10-Mana. Play your cards from left to right and trade for win. However, what matters the most is: How can I cycle my deck with utmost perfection? The answer can be found only if you check these cards below:
- Mad Scientist/Masked Contender/Mysterious Challenger: These cards are enough to fetch your 8 Secrets from the deck without any hassle.
- Getaway Kodo: Speaking of Secrets, let's start to analyze them further. This secret must be kept during Mulligan Phase, only if you also keep cycle cards such as Novice Engineer and Mad Scientist or value cards such as Zephrys the Great. When both are played, you can play your draw/value card 2nd time to use it again to reach out your Mecha'thun with ease.
- Redemption: Just like Getaway Kodo, keep this card during Mulligan Phase only if you also keep cycle cards that has Deathrattle abilities (Mad Scientist/Loot Hoarder/Bloodmage Thalnos/Salhet's Pride) so that you can cycle your deck more conveniently.
- Hidden Wisdom: Who can say no to more cycling process?
- Avenge/Never Surrender!/Noble Sacrifice/Repentance/Sacred Trial: These Secrets are here to help you drag the game long enough to reach your win-condition.
- Crystology: It's here to find your combo piece as well as drawing your cycle cards. Always keep it during Mulligan Phase.
- Call to Adventure: Its purpose is to fetch your combo piece if not drawn before. So, always keep it during Mulligan Phase.
- Salhet's Pride: It can find your combo piece and your cycle cards. It might be wise to keep it during Mulligan Phase.
- Hemet, Jungle Hunter: If three combo pieces are assembled, you can explode your deck. Then, play Emperor Thaurissan and dump out your hand until you have these combo pieces. Finally, execute your combo illustrated above and finish up your opponent for good.
That's all you have to do for this deck but I can hear your call, asking me questions such as "I don't have X, what should be the replacement for it?" Then, have a look at this list, with reasons explained below:
- Masked Contender: An expensive variant of Mad Scientist might not be suitable for budget reasons. So, how about trying with Coldlight Oracle instead?
- Sir Finley of the Sands: Either you don't have 1600 dust to craft or you think that you don't want to take chances by changing your Hero Power into Soul Tap. Whatever the reason is, experiment with Benevolent Djinn for more defense options to see if results are better for you.

I will totally try this, I love making Mecha'thun work. I'm pretty dubious about it being highlander though. Wouldn't we have better survivability by doubling Time Out and adding some classic clears like Pyro/Equality. We could even keep Reno and Zephrys to use later in the game after drawing a ton of stuff.
While doubling survival tools such as Time Out! is important, mind you, this is Highlander deck. It's not ideal to have a duplicate in Highlander archetypes. Maybe non-Highlander one is far more successful, as I didn't explore that area, who knows?
For Pyro, Explosive Sheep does the job more or less same as him. If you don't have expensive cards such as Sir Finley of the Sands, feel free to replace him with Pyro.
As for Equality, adding cards that cost more than 3-Mana weakens the potential of Hemet, so it's not ideal to add it. Only if it was reverted to 2-Mana, though, I definitely would add it.

Would you kindly explain a bit? Because I'm confused.
This was my main point, wondering if the deck would be more consistent with more survival tools instead of being a highlander deck. I'm just spitballing, as I haven't tried it yet either way.
Good point about Equality and Hemet.
What I meant about Reno and Zephrys is that you can put them in the deck even if you have duplicates, then play them once you've drawn all your duplicates. Is it a good idea? Well, again, it's less consistent, but several of the pros in the current Grandmaster's Tournament are using Zephrys in non-highlander decks. I've also seen streamers play Elise in non-highlander Malygos combo decks.
Looking at Paladin cards, it's not hard to see that Paladin class has more Aggro tools than Control ones. By nature, even if you did your best, be with Highlander or non-Highlander deck, it's hard to survive as long as how Druids do, I can assure you.
Speaking of Druids, while against the basics of Highlander decks, one can put Elise (or any Highlander card if desired) into non-Highlander decks because of heavy draw and survival tools Druid has since the aim of activating Highlander cards either require no duplicates within your deck or depletion of your deck (unless Highlander cards printed in the future states otherwise, that's how it works for now). This is how pros/streamers "play" their Highlander decks in either formats.
However, if you asked of me which direction I favor of, that would be singleton approach because of its "true-nature".
You're right about druids with the draw and sustainability, but I did see a lot of Zephrys in non-highlander paladin decks, the OTK Shirvallah one.
Anyway, I just played a few games, and came close to winning each time. Loatheb screwed me up once, and another time it was a mage who just didn't play any minions in the late game, so even though I had drawn every card and just had the 3-card combo, I had nothing to run Mecha'thun into (no way he predicted my win condition, right?).
What do you think of using Subject 9 instead of Hemet? Hemet clears your deck more powerfully, but 9 is cheaper and gives you access to the secrets instead of just destroying them.
I've been through multiple cases similar to your game with that mage so I replaced that Skaterbot with an Elven Archer
Elven Archer won't work because you'd have a minion on the board. You need Skaterbot to run Mecha'thun into an enemy minion.
Destruction of unnecessary cards is always powerful. Thus, Hemet fits for this job. As for Subject 9, why use it when there is arguably a better card: Mysterious Challenger? I mean, Subject 9 draws your Secrets, then you have to play it. However, Dr. 6 instanly "draws and plays" them.
Sure, we run Mysterious Challenger too. There are plenty of secrets for both. I don't agree that destroying cards is automatically better than playing them. Moreover, I see Hemet as a liability because he's a dead card in hand until you draw Subdue (this happened to me once). You say you prefer to play a true highlander, rather than running Reno and duplicates because you have to draw the duplicates before you can play Reno. This is the same thing: Hemet sits in your hand, unplayable, until you draw a certain card. In the late game, after you've drawn all your cards, you usually can't afford the extra turn it will take to dump the rest of your cards, especially if they are costly cards like Hemet.
