That will be a hated card...
Another even-costed card for demon hunter, and hand disruption seems to be a theme for them this expansion.
Because the card is shuffled back, not discarded, this can't really do anything to stop combos and won't be incredibly important for a slower deck.
In a faster deck, I think loatheb is nearly always a better pick for a disruption card, especially as it is odd, not even.
This post is discussing the wild format.
Neat and powerfull effect and can fit in lots of archetypes.
And... Ragequit potential!
By The Holy Light!
People are going to hate this. I kind of like it though. It's not as "scary" as glide. It's a strong MTG black aggro style card.
I think it's seeing some play. 4 mana 4/3 is slow but it is an automatic 2 for 1 if not better, and it can hit key cards for the matchup or just power cards in general.
It has to be outcast though, and outcast becomes a bigger deal more and more the higher the cost of the card. you aren't that happy dropping this without the outcast.
OKAY what the?!?!? Okay so this is super annoying and will get hated.. A LOT. Decent stats as well. At least it's an outcast card, but we all know the outcast condition is pretty easy to complete in DH. This will CERTAINLY see play in aggro/tempo DH so completely ignore/remove a board clear from your opponents hand. Actually no, this will see 100% Play-rate in every. single. DH. Deck. Till. It. Rotates.
Needless to say, this will CERTAINLY end up getting nerfed. This is basicly Madame Lazul, but WAY BETTER.
RNG is only fun as long as there is a 50/50 chance of getting something really good or trash level of bad. If RNG always results in something good, then it's not fun.
I am not sure how good this card will be, but it will be very, very frustrating to play against. Nobody likes to have their cards taken away.
Carrion, my wayward grub.
This card is very bad, but it will feel even worse when played against you.
Powerful, unpleasant, and on top of that it's DH Class card.
Like, new class gets everything better and stronger than ever.
Other classes wait for years to see archetypes taking the shape of a silly potato after several releases, and DH after two expansions already has it all.
I mean, we're already past the danger of the new class falling flat upon release. We don't need these cards in the game.
This is more like Hatestone.
This card seems kinda bad. It does nothing unless you Outcast it, which at 4 mana is harder early in the game when an aggro or tempo deck would want to do something like this (like shuffle a Brawl on turn 4 going into turn 5). Sure, there is a chance you nail a power card, but what if you don't? You only get to look at 3 cards, and sure, 3 out of 6 or 7 are decent odds, but are they decent enough to deal with getting nothing out of this? Even if you do pull it off, you just get a 4/3. I think I would rather just freezing something to get the 4/3.
I think it might be un-fun, but I like that they are experimenting with expanding the design space. This feels like a safer way to experiment with this than Glide, which feels far more extreme.
The cost and stat line of Professor Putricide, with an effect that's more powerful than Madame Lazul's with the outcast requirement.
having knowledge of your opponents hand is always valuable, and being able to remove a strong card against a control or combo matchup is HUGE.
That said despite her powerful ability I do not see this minion in the current Tempo DH lists that have been used to climb legend. this effect, cost and statline seems more in tune with a mid-range DH deck than the aggressive tempo deck.
What's more this legendary minion is not a win condition such as Altruis or Kayne Sunfury, but will help you win more by planning around your opponents cards in hand.
Why is anyone making the argument that Outcast is in any way a setback?
You throw this into the same deck as glide where you run only the lowest curve possible (Skull no longer necessary). Then you just play this at any point and remove one way for your opponent to beat you. There's pretty much 0-chance that this won't hit something important.
This will either get nerfed to 5 or 6 mana within a week or get reworked entirely to just swap the card with one in the deck (so you can't actually remove a card from their hand with no counterplay)
I tried having fun once.
It was awful.
Wow - good card , but only if you use it with Outcast! I mean the stats are good for 4 Mana so i guess it would not be to bad to tempo play this card but if you use it with the Outcast it is hella strong - at least in my oppinion :)
Challenge me ... when you're ready to duel a god!
What's up with DH manipulating their opponents hand? I hate this one already.

EU Legend: S52 (ZooHeal Lock); S76 (Highlander Hunter);
Oh, come on! They're just trying to make DH as hated as possible! But I love the flavor.
Thanks. I hate this one, too.
Better call Thrall!
This starts to get sweaty, but I'm not raging, and well I shouldn't. This is a sort of combo disruption. It can definitely cause some middle finger moments, but because it's Discover, it's harder to get the card you want to shuffle into their deck. It's similarly statted to Madame Lazul, with +1 in every stat and a slightly different effect of causing disruption instead of getting a copy of the card.
I still remember a Reddit post about card advantage in HS and why it's not as important. Nice, but not meta defining. If gathering intel was huge, Lazul and Chameleos would've been metawarping. But because of how combat resolves in HS, hand knowledge is less impactful.
And let's not forget DH is driven by tempo. This can give you some through disruption, but it's unreliable this way. You want consistency.
Also, Glide into this to make your opponent have 4 cards next turn? xd
3.5/5

So....if you don't have outcast it does nothing?
I am also not so sure about this. This card's success depends on many factors like outcast, hitting the right cards at the right time and so on.
Sure it can produce some crucial plays, preventing a reno on turn 6 to save your board for example.
But you could achieve the same effect more easily with a mana burn and actually do something for tempo.
Disruption is interesting, seriously people fear their hand and deck being tinkered with but it's ok in my opinion for such stuff to exist. but that being said I will get bashed cause I am not scared of such cards and glide so:
OMG OP nooo my hand is being countered.
Not sure how strong this card is since it only has an effect in Outcast, but man is it going to feel bad to play against. I feel like its better in in midrage or tempo matchups since the enemy's hand size will be small enough to reliably get something good shuffled. In control matchups the enemy's handsize might be large enough that you can't shuffle a needed card. Not as annoying as glide imo, but Blizzard is doing a great job at making DH into the new most hated class.
I get that outcast isn’t that hard to actually trigger, but it’s still another condition for this card, on top of hoping you hit an important card from your opponent’s hand. Doesn’t really look that great to me
Who needs consistency when you could have fun?
This is just a good, fair card, which in many cases is completely outclassed by Glide as the supreme fk you to your opponent's face.
Otherwise, not really that impressive, honestly. And I'm okay with that.
Probably see niche play, but I wouldn't really put this in my deck unless screwing my opponent was the gameplan all along.
Pretty strong effect, stats are bad, which is a good thing, some decks might omit to run this, otherwise you would see it everywhere. Getting the information is certainly nice and being able to not only deny a card to your opponent making him draw it again, but with now revealed Lorekeeper Polkelt, this is a tech card against those decks as well.
Demon Hunter is certainly getting a lot of cool toys that other classes would love too. If DH becomes the "hand/deck" disrupting class with Scholomance only introducing us to what might come, I'm not sure that community will take that very well lol.

Really nice combo disruption. I like it!
"Be excellent to each other." -Bill and Ted
I don't think this card is as OP as many people are crying it out to be? Frustrating, yes, but not overpowered. Returning 1 card to their deck will not always be a game-saver or affect your opponent that much.
Pretty evil, this one. I like the creativity, but what I don’t like with DH getting hand disruption is that they basically have ALL the tools this game could offer (except hard removal). DH will be even more polarising and annoying to play against wich I can’t see being healthy for the game. And the card is not even THAT good.
But still, cool design and fun flavor.
This disruption is powerful enough to merit five stars for any midrange Demon Hunter deck in a meta with any combo decks. Might not make the cut otherwise, but the effect is incredible.
Ah yes, Thought Erasure on a decent body. That will totally be a very cool card to play with and against.
Even Warlock's disruption is very condidtional, I mean, look at Chaos Gazer, it gives your opponent an actual interactive way to deal with a discard type effect. Even Gnomeferatu is less toxic in that regard.
When you play this and activate the Outcast effect, your worst scenario is your opponent topdecking the card you shuffled, which means this card stopped one draw and allowed you to see a portion of your opponent's hand.
Rating cards on coolness factor rather than predicting power because I like screwing up rating averages (and because I suck at predicting real power levels, but we'll ignore that LUL)
Wins per class (2/6/22): DH-197; Druid-996; Hunter-91«60; Mage-1056; Paladin-1126; Priest-746; Rogue-961; Shaman-1095; Warlock-871; Warrior-906
Techs like these have always been exaggerated in the past, plus it's legendary, plus 4/4/3 with a tiny condition, plus it might not even help you at the end. Of all the disruption DH got, this one is the most balanced imo.
Like DH wasn't already annoying trololol
A new disruptive era is near
Struggle with Heroic Galakrond's Awakening? I got your back :
Very good on the disruption side of things, like shuffling a quest reward back into a deck. I will say that I'm kind of disappointed the demon hunter card is only a student when the class makes for a pretty badass instructor character.
Official Lorekeeper and Spinner of Tavern Tales
Lol, so this student is so smart she can bounce back your card huh.. hate to play against for sure.
Ugh, now DH can also card steal. Now another class can do priest BS. :(
I'm surprised they are pushing a new card disruption theme to DH. I would have preferred they added more support to Big DH or token DH.
Star Student Stelina doesn't seem nearly as good as Glide to me. You're only disrupting 1 card for 4 mana, not to mention you have to wait for it to be outcasted to get the effect. On top of that, the ideal use for this hand disruption is against control/combo decks, which usually have moderate hand sizes and can afford to lose 1 card if that means you made a not great tempo play of a 4 mana 4/3. What makes Glide more powerful is that it does more for you and against the opponent: drawing 3-4 card ideally and shrinking your opponents hand size by a few cards is way more substantial for 4 mana than a 1 card disrupt on a 4/3.
For glory, honor, and gold!
So control DH is going to be shuffling opponents cards back into their deck? Will we finally have a control deck that is more annoying to play against than Priest?
It's a pretty good Disruption-Tool, but I don't know if DH wants to block 1 of their Outcast Spots off for the Majority of the Game.
Tempowise - It's a 4 Mana 4/3, which isn't really good, but it could gain you Tempo by getting rid of Key-Removal, like AoE.

I like cards like this but community mostly do not. Interfereing is one of the most hateful mechanics of card games, I hope it doesn't affect Hearthstone so much with other disruption cards of this expansion.
Unpopular Opinion Incarnate
I don't like it so much. It's a 4 mana 4/3 and sometimes just deley a card. Unless this card insures your victory in the next turn, it's just a 4/3 imho
I really like this type of disruption in the game but locking it off to DH is a bit awkward. This effect is great though, reminds me a lot of Thoughtseize/hand disruption from MTG, which is a staple in the game for good reasons. Hoping to see this type of mechanic coming to a neutral card soon.
Cardboard wizard and dog haver.
This is gonna be hated just like any smart-ass-star-student
I really love it! Do not think it will see play but I really like its design
Lemushki - The one and only since the 2006 rebranding.
Can be decent if you manage to put their AoE card back into their deck to protect your board.
Ms Finster has a new snitch. Now who's the disrupter, Warlock?
I like it, but will DH find room in their decks for this?
amazing card to counter otk/combo decks... or at least delay the innevitable
All hail the banshee queen.
Wow this card has power. Knowing you opponents hand and getting rid of a perfect answer can be a wining move.
With the risk of being horribly wrong, I don't think the card is as strong as a lot of people think it is. Yes there will be times when DHs throw your perfect answer back into your deck, but there will also be times when this gets sandwiched by higher-cost cards or the three cards offered were not important anyway. A 4-mana 4/3 is a rather clear tempo loss on the board, I find it hard to believe Tempo DH would run this.
Good disruption potential, I just hope it isn’t too oppressive seeing as it is a DH card.
It's a combo disruptor, but not by any means an auto-include.
It does seem quite dirty to just be able to mess with your opponent's hand like that, though.
Initially, I was really thrown by this card; however, since seeing the rest of the expansion, I think this card will be really useful in years to come for future DH archetypes, but pretty meh in standard for the current DH.
I think the effect being based on Outcast is what is holding it back. Leaving it in your leftmost slot prevents your hand from moving around and cycling outcast cards, and top-decking this probably isn't when you want to play it.
Also not looking forward to having 3 classes with hand/deck disruption be a regular mechanic in standard.
This is one of the worst cards to play against I hate it with Glide.
-=alfi=-
So far, we had very few options to mess with opponent's hand. But don't worry, DH to the rescue again, bending/breaking another unspoken rule. Kinda bad when topdecking, but unless against a full hand or terrible luck, you can bury a combo piece or critical card deep enough to seal the game. Good card most of the time.
Hand disruption was something the game was lacking. Sure, this card will be annoying to have played against you. But at the same time, it only shuffles it back. Star Student Stelina doesn't Gnomeferatu it out of existence. I am highly looking forward to making a deck focused on disruption. :)
Thanks to denial, I'm immortal.
Illidan is still guessing why people hate demon hunters, this card is just another reason for that
With this and Glide, I will hate demon hunters even more than I do now lol.
Turn 4: "These pesky aggro Demon Hunters, least I have my aoe in hand."
Opponent plays Star Student Stelina and shuffles your aoe back into your deck.
"Well guess this game was fun while it lasted."
TREMBLE before.... the most legendary dragon that ever existed!
I think I'm going to both love and hate this card come August 6th.
Quick! Someone give me something clever to write here.
Best new card in the expansion, love the new style of game-play offered. :) Compliment with Glide and Double Jump for a jolly good time, lads!
Thanks to denial, I'm immortal.
It looks like an okay temporary removal tool to mess around with your opponent, but it seems a bit too unreliable.
I don't think this card is insane, but I hate it already. I had the same feelings about Gnomeferatu (though this is obviously a better card).
Welcome to the site!
If they had not produced Glide as well, this card would be not as hated, I think. This card has obvious draw backs to playing it, and is a gamble in and of itself. Will it see a lot of play? Probably not. But those instances where you do, it will either be amazing or terrifying, depending on the situation.
Thanks to denial, I'm immortal.
I can't WAIT to do that. :D
