Priest should have enough cheap "miracle" type spells to trigger this plenty of times. However, the health buff may not be significant enough for this to be played.
Carrion, my wayward grub.
Reminiscent of Lightsteed but too early to judge till we know the range of holy spells
TREMBLE before.... the most legendary dragon that ever existed!
Holy Paladin hype.
There's some kind of inner fire priest potential with this card.
Pretty certain that the description allows her to buff herself when you play holy spells.
I like this. But we will have to wait and see how many spells will be Holy Spells.
I think this could turn out to be pretty strong.
Challenge me ... when you're ready to duel a god!
Technically all yellow ones. Half of priest spells will be holy, half - shadow. But I think all paladin will be holy ones.
What's the most powerful card in Hearthstone?
A credit card.
Can target itself so probably not bad.
If you play this in Libram Paladin at get a turn 4 libram on it yo have a pretty fat minionn just hanging around...unless Libram's aren't holy spells for some reason
I tried having fun once.
It was awful.
Hmm, not sold on this card but on the otherside it has premium 4 drop stats and an effect on top of that. Guess we will need to wait and see what other Holy tag cards get printed. Also it already fits.. decently? in some kind of Inner Fire priest.
My guess is that most holy tag spells will be in Priest and Paladin though... WAIT A SECOND... IF Libram of Wisdom becomes a Holy tag card, then that's some free stats, seems kinda decent.
RNG is only fun as long as there is a 50/50 chance of getting something really good or trash level of bad. If RNG always results in something good, then it's not fun.
Seems interesting. Giving health hasn't been that strong in hearthstone. However with spell generation that priest or paladin have it could have some big turns.
Even if it's not powerful I love cards caring about other card types. These spell changes are a great addition to the game. Can't wait to see where they go.
Casual Dragon Cardgame enthusiast.
We don't know how many Holy spells there will be, but it looks at least decent. Maybe it won't be great for another expansion or 2. That happens with new cards sometimes.
Value depends on which spells are "holy". Could be pretty nice though.
"Be excellent to each other." -Bill and Ted
This combined with that damned horse means that priest will have some solid sticky minions
Like the card but not sure it's good with the new core set - perhaps something in the Barrens set?
All generalizations are false.
Who you gonna call?
Chumbawumba is the worst band name.
Seems alright. Not sure it will be insane and won't be enough to make that 0 mana heal 5 worth playing in priest but...if enough solid holy spells are being played it might be worth while.
Unless more health synergy cards come from the expansion, 2 health per spell seems underwhelming. Only card it has synergy is Lightspawn with Inner Fire rotating out.
Kinda hard for me to see how it will be useful with the new core. Not sure that priest can pull many shenanigans with it
A nice neutral minion geared to priest and paladin. I really like the artwork too, I can't wait to see it in golden.
I hope these spell schools get more support since there was literally nothing in the core set
I feel like this will be just fine in a tempo style Priest or Paladin, but it would excite me more if Inner Fire was still in Standard. Of course it could be run in WIld, but is that strategy going to be good enough to overtake Big Priest and Raza Priest in Wild? Not likely, but could amount to some fringe play of the archetype depending on the Wild meta.
Quick! Someone give me something clever to write here.
I think they said they would have more cards in the mini set with spell school synergy, and not going too crazy with the mechanic in the expansion itself. But I'd expect every expansion going forward will have at least some card(s) that synergize with a specific spell school.
Quick! Someone give me something clever to write here.
I imagine this will find a place in some priest or paladin deck, although that will depend entirely on how many holy spells there are.
Seems mediocre, will need to see the rest of the set to make a final judgement on it though, not sure it will see any play
Okayish, I think
-=alfi=-
too slow to matter esspecialy without circle of healing
I know there aren't dual class cards in Barrens but does should definitely be priest/paladin.
Disclaimer: if the above is factually incorrect or complete rubbish it is definitely both intentional and comedy genius.
Small Priest of the Feast. I like it :)
can be useful
I am 69 years old and still reach Legend
Could be interesting with some kind of "miracle" shenanigans that could lead to an OTK combo.
Pretty boring card.
Promising card.
I have no idea how this will work out.
Hope the spell schools will make a difference, but it's just too early to tell.
Also: Balancing will probably be a bit harder on all of HS.
Meh card, I mean... Paladin will abuse it and Priest too, but why Neutral?
Too situational, although the effect is good. Might not see a lot of play though.
Priest card for sure ,maybe we will see heal paladin again in this set?
Really good synergy with Libram of Wisdom.
By The Holy Light!
We might need to see more Holy Spells, but this might go well in the same deck as Lightsteed
Lemushki - The one and only since the 2006 rebranding.
The 1st good Tempo Priest card... and it's not even a Priest card!
ArtStation | Twitter
I think this is too slow and I am not really enthusiastic about Tempo Priest. I suppose it will the old problem of Paladin, where you have a plenty of buffs and no board in a class with little draw.
I hope we get some kind of Class spell to every class, to make this work somehow.
Similar to Lightsteed
This could be a pretty nifty card if any aggro priest builds pop up in the new year. It would allow for at least some of those early game minions to stick around to the mid-game. Granted, Priest would need plenty of cheap (especially 0-cost) Holy Spells to make that work...
Started playing HS in May, 2015. The bad news: I missed the excitement of 'Naxx out?' and GvG. The good news: I never met an Undertaker.
Not really fan of this card. Similar to Lightsteed as others already pointed.
♡ u 4ever 2008 - 2022
Actually dual-class Priest/Paladin? It needs certain spells and minions on board for a pretty small buff, won't see play imho.
Obviously this looks a lot like Lightsteed - maybe triggering off of holy spells (rather than healing) will make this better? One of the challenges with Lightsteed is that the buff is pretty minor on top of the mana you're already spending to target your own minions with healing (often via hero power), and the fact that it included non-friendly characters made it worthless with Circle of Healing. So, perhaps the randomness here is offset by getting to spend your mana doing valuable things instead of just board-wide heals, etc.
Holy smoke!!! Hope there are many nice holy spells for synergy!
Rogue DH
Maybe this will slot into the midrange priest they seem to be pushing? This alongside lightsteed and the new one drop could be a decent start to getting it off the ground
Yes, Librams are definitely Holy. It would be the dumbest thing ever if they weren't.
We are going to need so many owls ...
Typical card that add value to archetypes. Priest has a lot of little holy cards, play this, a bunch a holy cards and you'll have a high health minion. Then swap attack and health and go face for the win !
play Humongous Razorleaf
next turn: Focused Will on Humongous Razorleaf + Spirit Healer + Flash Heal / Desperate Prayer / Holy Smite + Crazed Alchemist
Murlocs <3
For all intents and purposes, this is basically a Paladin/Priest dual-class card. XD
We obviously need the whole picture of Holy spells to get a good grasp of how playable this card, but a 4 mana 3/6 that buffs itself isn't too bad even though even if it might not be the fastest thing in the world to buff. In Priest, Lightsteed looks *generally* better, but Paladin also has access to this card too.
The viability of this card completely depends on how good Holy spells will be. I can see it being played in some kind of board-centric tempo Priest or Paladin. I won't write it off quite yet.
So this is actually a dual-class card. I don't think classes other than Priest and Paladin will get Holy spells, unless there will be a way to generate spells of a specific school. Stats and effect are nice. Could actually snowball some buffs with cheap spells.
OBLIVION!
Not sure if this will be any good in Priest. Might make for even more crazy big minions for Paladin (assuming Librams are Holy).
Too slow too situational
yeah, or maybe a new spell that discovers one and make your rest "holy" ones.
I've noticed people compare this to Lightsteed a lot. One benefit this does have over Lightsteed is that the Holy spells don't need to be limited to healing, and also this card will not benefit the enemy by giving them bonus heal, a problem that exists between Lightsteed and Circle of Healing. The randomness of the effect does lower this card's effectiveness though. Overall, I don't think this card will see a lot of play.
Definitely a Priest/Paladin dual class card disguised as Neutral. My first impression is that it probably won't end up seeing much play, but the statline isn't bad at all and if it stays on the board for a while, the effect can get really annoying - assuming that there will be enough playable Holy spells, that is.
I am going to miss swap health/attack effects
This card will see some play but not too much doesn't seem like a very effective 4 mana drop but the health stats are great!
Paladin: Nope.
Priest: Wow...
Papa Nurgle wants to share his gifts.
I'm liking the look of this so far, I can definitely see a fit for it in some sort of holy priest deck. Just need some more card reveals so I can fully flesh it out.
At this point I have spent too much money on these games to quit.
Now pass me another pack, and lets see what I pull.
What's the point of buffing health if inner fire is rotating out?
An example of spell school support? But not one I'm excited about.
The horse from dark moon races seems better. This one just feels weak
Seems very anti-aggro. Priest decks loading up with taunts that get bigger...
Having a virturally unkillable minion on what seems to be a more board centric meta, now that most burst from spells is out. Also, there's a chance Apotheosis will become a Holy spell. That alone makes Spirit Healer even more annoying.
That being said, I believe Lightsteed will be more consistent, at least in a more aggressive Priest deck. Spirit Healer can also find a spot in such a deck for critical mass' sake, but I believe Spirit Healer might find a better home in Paladin.
Rating cards on coolness factor rather than predicting power because I like screwing up rating averages (and because I suck at predicting real power levels, but we'll ignore that LUL)
Wins per class (2/6/22): DH-197; Druid-996; Hunter-91«60; Mage-1056; Paladin-1126; Priest-746; Rogue-961; Shaman-1095; Warlock-871; Warrior-906
Cards that buff health rarely, if ever, see play unless they have some sort of offensive use like also giving a minion more attack or silencing a minion for silence priest decks. At least this is my takeaway for the card.
Ribbit
So that's the first class' spell interaction (Holy) - wonder where this is all going.
They got me curious for sure!
Edit : I also noticed Nature for that Shaman's legendary - Bru'kan - that's it so far (?)
Struggle with Heroic Galakrond's Awakening? I got your back :
i want to try in rally/tempo priest
this will look soooo good in golden, I hope I will open it
Wonder how the spells in Priest/Paladin will go with this.
Probably be tried here and there by priest/ paladin, which has enough spells to trigger this... But ultimately especially with inner fire gone don't think the health buff will really do much
Well said. I think that is exactly right.
maybe tempo preist stuff but the card is so slow and only holy spells hmm...
Too early to rate
Seems meh, we'll have to see when more holy spells come out
Wonder how many good holy spells there would be?
I'd say it's a certainty.
It looks like all spells that do not represent some sort of physical maneuver -- i.e., all the spells that actually represent magic -- are being assigned schools. Holy is the only possible school for most Priest spells, certainly for this one. (An argument can be made for Fire in some cases, but mostly in Wild.)
Interesting card with nice stats. I can see this in more then just priest decks.
I'm not online it's just your imagination
Solid Body for priest, kinda boring without seeing Holy cards. Maybe only cheap Holy.
Feels like an ok card - gonna be tricky getting much value out of it, will depend on having enough cards in hand that you can pop a couple of cheap holy spells on it before it gets removed, and cards that require that much set up (or good fortune) I wouldn't expect to see in many top end type decks.
Yeah, standard sort of card.
I've been here a while; just hanging out in the background.
So essentially a Paladin/Priest card.
Bad epic so far. Will see if new cards change my opinion
Doesn't seem too good for now. Its effect is most useful early in the game, in midrangey decks. Even then, it's underwhelming. Body of 3/6 on 4 is bad.
Not sold.
Nightmare
Yup, need to see more Holy type spells to judge on this one.
Ignoring the card text, the stats are good for the cost. The card text may not be very powerful, but in any deck that is running several holy spells, this would be a fine inclusion with the potential to get out of hand. As I understand it, the +2 Health effect can be applied to the Spirit Healer herself, too, so it's not like the effect has multiple conditions. As a Wild player, I don't expect this will see much play at high ranks, though, because the effect doesn't contribute directly to a fast enough win condition unless Inner Fire priest becomes more competitive.
I'm playing the lightsteed on wild and it's not bad, this could be the same but it works only with one type of spells and the target is random... I'll give it a try
For The HORDE!
A Priest/Paladin dual-class in disguise, but it should be decent in either. Priest might be able to start a new Miracle/Tempo style and this might find a strong home in Libram Paladin with their constant Libram of Wisdom spam.
I like decks that establish boards and buff them up to make them very sticky. I don't know if this card is fast enough, but I think it's got potential.
Neat idea, but unless there are a lot more Holy spells to support this, I'm not sure this will go any where. Priest likes spells, but I don't know who else will have access to holy spells??
Oh hey a new dual-class card for Paladin/Priest
not good so far until see the range of holyspells
preist otk potential
Solid stats with a mediocre effect.
Banned for spamming.
Good idea but the practical applications seem disappointing considering the current line up of cards.
Pack filler

If they print wide effect on ally minions with low cost enough Holy spells... sure why not ?
Nothing exciting. Achievements will be unlocked for this ne, anyway.
It's decent, but need some cards to combo with it.
The mechanics is similar to Lightsteed . Can be interesting, but we need to know how many and what holy card will be relased to evaluate this card
Too slow. Kinda like Lightsteed, but you don't get to target buffed minion, and it's harder to do so.
I like the spell types concept. Hopefully this gives additional archetypes that can be spread across lots of different classes. This looks like a good mechanic to put in what used to be the staple of priest decks. Buff up the minions to make them more durable and just outlast the opponent.
Unfortunately, common sense isn't as common as it should be.
i think this is going to be a solid card in some pally decks rather than priest
Priest/Pally dual class card in disguise. Don't think the effect is strong. Blizz seems to force the high health minions archetype, but I think this won't work.
Meh
could see play in Paladin or Priest decks, not crazy about it.
Holy Priest looks good especially with that 6-mana elemental.
Hmm, I am seeing a Holy Paladin archetype forming
English is not my native language, so please excuse occasional mistakes
Nothing special. Arena fodder
Probably too weak, but we have to see all the Holy spells to reevaluate this card.
currently there are no good payoffs for high health minions. Hopefolly some new cards will support this.
paladin gets holly right? so all the paladin spells are holly? still trying to work this out
With lightsteed = infinite health?
Even if you can play a lot of Holy spells for cheap and you have other minions on board I can't see why you'd ever want to play this.
Arena > Wild > Standard
good card
Kenny's little poet. 😇
And we thought it was for priest with their "tempo" thing, actually it's for Holy Paladin. Secrets will be good with this!
Seeing the current range of holy spells and knowing Librams are going to be Holy, I think this could work, but only in that deck
And I HATE Libram Pally
4 Mana 7/7
Not bad stats and combo with holy spells. I can see some uses in Pally and Priest decks.
Holy Paladin= Librams + This + Cariel Roame
Kinda meh...
perhaps good in libram paladin
With a few more reveals, I suppose this might work in Paladin, still not impressed though
I am envoy from nowhere in nowhere. Nobody and nothing have sent me. And even though it is impossible I exist. ©Trimutius
Okish i guess
Lame version of lightsteed
good
Random buffs that force you to jump through hoops to get them...No, I don't think I'll ever want to put this in a deck. Not good.
I don't want to cure cancer; I want to turn people into dinosaurs.
Now we have Pure Paladin, but with these cards after expansion we could see Pure Holy Paladin, cause we have new cards in this archetype
Could work with some cheap Holy spells, but doesn't seem to be that great. Not sure where it'd fit in the meta
Very average.
no real reason to play it
Not excited about this card.
Looks like they are pushing some sort of Holy spell Paladin but there's not enough support right now. When that deck sees play this will see play too.
It's bad. You get free nerfed Power Word Shields, which saw no play, but random.
Put your faith in the Light!
Great wild miracle priest card
Can only be used in paladin or priest right?
Doesn't feel like a strong enough buff to include this specifically over better minions.
Welcome to the site!
Meh class card in disguise
Compared to Veteran Warmedic, this doesn't do nearly enough for casting a holy spell in Paladin. This also doesn't do enough in Priest as their tempo buff deck is nowhere near competitive. Since these are the two classes that care about holy spells, I don't have much hope for Spirit Healer.
For glory, honor, and gold!
