Has great potential, if DH gets some good deathrattle support. I'd be excited to see more midrange deathrattle DH archetypes. Aggro and OTK just aren't that fun for me. 

Premium effect, targeted summon, incredible potential in a control shell for Wild paired with N'Zoth.

Ok, now Demon Hunter gets the ability to summon minions from their deck, great.

By the end of this year DH is probably able to do everything that is unique for all other classes in HS, wonderful.

Potentially dearhrattle DH decks? 

There's still plenty of time to see more good deathrattles come out for Demon Hunter (or just Neutral cards), so I want to reserve some judgement on the whole Deathrattle package here, but right now it just seems kind of silly.

But what's the best case scenario here so far? Maybe Al'ar or Taelan Fordring or Renowned Performer or Disguised Wanderer or Fishy Flyer? Cheating cards out is pretty valuable, so maybe that gets over the fact that most of these deathrattles they have today are just pretty weak.

With Baron Rivendare in Standard, it's very possible that you only need a couple of good deathrattles to make this package work, but it seems low power.

The fact that its a battlecry and specifically recruits minions from your deck means that this card will at some point see play.

Im convinced that here has to be better cards down the line for this card to exist. Hopefully theres at least a taunt, because without it this card is absolutely just unplayable for the most part.

Reminds me of Soulciologist Malicia, and that's the high bar this card has to got reach to be good enough.

This is not the payoff you want for the archetype. Terrible.

This is strong. Even if the Deathrattle pool we have right now isn't that impressive, even pulling out 2 Fishy Flyers and a Renowned Performer is an insane tempo swing with 11 fast damage scattered through 3 bodies that will leave a lot of board presence behind and refill your hand.

While I'm not sure Death Speaker Blackthorn will be top tier imediately, because DH doesn't have the top tier deathrattles for it right now, I can expect him to have at least a bit of time under the spotlight over the two years he'll be in standard.

Once again, hah, yeah, what can Demon Hunter NOT do? I think mana ramp and direct healing are the only items left on the list. That said, this card makes me happy, because it makes clear their vision for Deathrattle DH --> it's a this-expansion thing, like Freeze Shaman, not something that they'll make part of the class archetype. For the latter they'd print a less pigeonholed legendary. 

Now that I know that, it's starting to feel a l'il exciting to play a DH archetype that isn't straight faceplace toxicity.

Ok, this seems like it could be good. Run it in a deck with at least 6 deathrattle minions that cost 4 or 5 and no cheaper ones, and it will be a powerful turn all by itself. Even if it's not good, though, it will be run in fun decks. Death Speaker Blackthorn + Stalagg + Feugen? Streamer gold.

Yikes, this has the potential to be a problematic card. Thank goodness Coilfang Warlord is an 8-mana card...

I hope the devs print some playable deathrattle minions for this archetype. Right now, there aren't any good deathrattle minions that this can pull out that I'm aware of.

Okay, I checked the good deathrattle minions in standard that this can possibly pull, which are:

Fishy Flyer, Renowned Performer, Razorfen Beastmaster, Sneaky Delinquent, Al'ar, Taelan Fordring

It's obviously not enough, so for this archetype to work it needs more support/good deathrattle minions. 

It's really good if Demon Hunter gets some good 4-5 mana deathrattles

Deathrattle demon hunter could work now just need to some deathrattle minions to see if it can work.Plus you have to get this card fast and pray that you dont draw all your other deathrattle cards so you can get them out in a class that draws cards at the buffet table.Looks fun will try it out.

Card is good, but very very boring

Interesting idea but im hoping that they will reveal some decent Deathrattle for a Synergy like this because right now this seems weak.

But with the right support this has potential to be strong. 

This could be very strong, it once again depends on what Deathrattle minions DH gets.

This is good, but at the same time hard to build around.

You need a large amount of Deathrattle minions to make this work (at least 6 minions total to have a reasonable chance of this pulling full value)

Funnily enough this might also make the Darkmoon 4-drop playable because you might want some immediate impact from this.

I also like this Deathrattle direction. Instead of going for some big value deathrattles to replacte later it'S more about the immediate impact of sticky minions, which neither Hunter nor Rogue ever really played with

So I guess there was a reason why Baron Rivendare was added to the core set. Well if blizzard really wants to push deathrattle hunter DH, guess we'll have to go with it

This is insane, it can basically draw you 3 cards and discount them by 5 mana. It's like a better skull, but only for Deathrattle cards. Maybe DH doesn't even need good deathrattle cards since this support will carry them  by itself, but let's be honest, they still will.

Not sure why BLizzard decided to push Deathrattle DH so much, without giving it any actual deathrattle effects.. .still the effect is very good, 3 free cards means a lot, specially if they are also taunt/rush

With the right DR cards this is absolutely nuts. That is potentially a lot os stats summoned along with strong DR effects and deck thinning on top of it. 

Ooh this seems really good. Potential targets for this: Taelan Fordring, Al'ar, Fishy Flyer, Renowned Performer, Razorfen Beastmaster, Loot Hoarder, Explosive Sheep and Bloodmage Thalnos. So far this seems more like some kind of control DH package honestly, which is surpising. I thought that Deathratlle DH would be an aggresive deck. (Unless new deathrattle DH card we haven't seen yet are super aggresive.) 

Also remember that this effect is kinda like Call to Arms, so it is a pretty strong effect. The only problem i can really imagine for this card is that DH is REALLY good at drawing cards, so there might not be that many targets for it in the deck by the time you play it. But even still don't underestimate this card, any time we see a new 5 cost or lower deathrattle card printed, it can be a target for Death Speaker Blackthorn.

Great card and the guy to make deathrattle Demon Hunter work at all. A card that will be stronger than its designated archetype

This looks tremendously powerful. I don't know exactly which deathrattle minions you would recruit, but the sheer number of stats you get makes this a powerful card even if you have to play sub-par deathrattle minions.

Recruit not again! This can be busted with the right cards or see zero play we shall see.

I hope for strong deathrattles to be revealed. I hope this archetype is better than freeze shaman lol 

Obviously, cheating mana is something not to be taken lightly in Hearthstone; however, my issues with Death Speaker Blackthorn are more of a contextual one for DH. First, DHs draw through their deck very efficiently, and that has anti-synergy with Blackthorn, especially Vengeful Spirit. Second, Skull of Gul'dan has warped how DH plays since the release of the class that Soul DH has cut Soulciologist Malicia, another seven mana minion that creates a board, because it could block a turn six Skull. Considering both of these points, I'm not optimistic about Blackthorn's competitive viability, unless there are some bonkers deathrattle minions introduced for Blackthorn to summon.

I think people are sleeping on this card summoning Al'ar, Taelan Fordring and a 4 drop, it's a very sticky board that can easily survive a turn, not easily dealt with a simple board clear, and allow you to do some shenaningans with Teron Gorefiend for example. It also thins 3 cards from your deck and thinning multiple cards while having an effect on board is known to be one of the most powerful mechanics in Hearthstone, going all the way back to the introduction of Mysterious Challenger.

And it's guaranteed that a least one 5 mana deathrattle will be revealed, and more synergy will probably come in the mini set.

Too bad DH doesn't have a prime since I'm sure it would cost 4 or less, I hope they add one like the studies they did in the last miniset.

Impossible to really judge. No deathrattles have been shown so far, or at least very few, and without knowing them we can't know if this will be any good.

I guess deathrattle DH will be running cheap to mid-cost deathrattle minions. I have no idea if the right cards exist for it to be good, but Blizzard is certainly trying to make it a thing.

Cool looking card, could be very strong depending on the Deathrattles. You probably wouldn't want to go lower than (4) cost for this one. Would like this archetype to work.

Right now there aren't any good 5 mana deathrattle targets for this (and I don't want put Al'ar just for this card) and at 4 mana there's Disguised Wanderer and Renowned Performer. I think on wild will be better...but let's all the card before evaluate this card

VERY strong effect, now it just remains to be seen if it will be a strong effect in DH. Currently there are some strong cards like Fishy Flyer or Taelan Fordring that you can pull, but I think there still needs some more 'oomph'

Much like with Guardian Animals, a card that's very similar to this (pre-nerf), I'm guessing there will be at least one really good Deathrattle minion in the final reveal. But since they don't gain Rush, this is legendary so a one-off, and there's anti-synergy with Razorfen Beastmaster, I doubt this will end up nearly as good.

Of course, there may and almost certainly will be more of these in FitB if Blizz wants to push this archetype.

One interesting note is that among these are an Elemental, a Murloc, a Beast and a Mech (and one which summons a Demon). So Death Speaker Blackthorn could potentially set you up for a high-value N'Zoth, God of the Deep on a subsequent turn.

Other important synergy includes: Baron Rivendare, Vectus, Vengeful Spirit

I think this won't get past experimentation. Even with the reveals, I don't know there are enough solid deathrattles people will actually want to play to warrant this.

This deathrattle package isn't worth it. The only Demon Hunter we will see after rotation is OTK Demon Hunter.

If you've built your deck correctly, a Blackthorn turn should be pretty big. I think he can work in a variety of decks so long as you have enough Deathrattle for him to pull from your deck. He thins your deck and provides you with a nice board presence. I wouldn't expect this to be a finisher, but it could be a very powerful Tempo play if you're willing to adjust your deck to accommodate him.

Targeted draw is always a good thing. I know there are other cards that seem to promote deathrattle Demon Hunter. If I open this one, I might give that a try and see if it makes DH an interesting class (for me) to play.

I don't understand why Team 5 felt demon hunters needed ANOTHER element in their class identity. They already have card draw, efficient direct damage, board control and combo potential.

I think it's interesting that demon hunter is getting so much deathrattle support this expansion, yet the only deathrattle cards that it's getting are the cards that summon other deathrattle minions.  This seems like a very good card from a value standpoint, but it will depend heavily on what other deathrattle cards you add to the deck, since you can't depend on demon hunter's own cards.

Needs way more tools for this to work. The problem I have with this deck archetype is the cost limit on all of the effects. In my mind this wouldn't have been too powerful with no cost limit.
