But I did get my Go-To Legendaries already before opening any packs as part of the preorder, so I guess I'm fine with it
I opened 70 packs with only gold. I got 3 legendaries: Mordresh Fire Eye (okay), Firemancer Flurgl (terrible for me, won't use at all) and Scabbs Cutterbutter (fine as well). I will probably craft Xyrella and Overlord Saurfang. I never count the amount of epics i get but it felt like a decent enough amount. It was fine, overall. Not great but not bad.
I opened:
My 4 legendaries were Guff Runetotem, Overlord Saurfang, Kargal Battlescar & Kazakus, Golem Shaper.
Around 80 packs opened and 3 Leg's. Game hates me.

Looks like lady luck just rang by as I opened my packs.
Got 10 legendaries in like 85 packs. Don't know how it happened, but this is the best opening day I ever had.
Practically missed all the targets on my wish list, but hey, can't complain with results like this.
I opened around 35-40 packs and have only gotten 2 legendaries so far. But I have gotten a surprising 11 epics, two of which were golden. My legendaries were Firemancer Flurgl and Barak Kodobane, both of which were on my wish list. I also got this wonderful pack:
I bought the $50 bundle. Cariel Roame and Mordresh Fire Eye were my free Legendaries.
Opened 67 packs so far. 4 legenadaries: Tamsin Roame, Plaguemaw the Rotting (golden), Kazakus, Golem Shaper, and Serena Bloodfeather. 16.75 packs per legendary. Great except for Serena. I also opened 2 year of phoenix packs and landed a Vectus. I was extremely happy about that!
As for the epics, I opened 11 out 67 which is around 1 in 6 packs. I think that is also way above average but I can't remember what the timer is for epics. I didn't get a lot of the ones I really wanted but no complaints. Oh! Except for the fact that I opened a Primordial Protector which everyone gets at levels 65 and 75. I would have thought these cards would have been taken out of the pool until we got them on the track. I think epics are generally the hardest to collect completely. I feel like I am now down 1 epic and am wondering if I should risk opening more packs until I get to those levels. This is the kind of 'nickel and diming' that players do not like. The game is expensive enough.
The droprate for epics is 1 in 5, the pity timer for epics is 10. So you're a bit below average.

The pity timer for epics is average 1 in 5, but guaranteed 1 in 10. So your epic drop rate was about average.
As for the golden epic thing, I also opened a Primordial Protector and faced a similar dilemma. Think of it like this, nothing was taken away from the rewards track to give us these golden cards, they were added on for free. So while it is annoying to open an epic that you would have gotten for free, just remember that getting excess cards for free is better than not getting any free cards. Also keep in mind that up until about a year ago, opening third copies of epics could happen all the time. I am kind of annoyed at getting uncraftable cards, but it isn't a huge issue.
It would have been nice if instead of pre-determined golden cards, it just gave you a random uncraftable golden card of a specific rarity, or if they were disenchantable. But like I said, these golden cards were added to the track for free with nothing subtracted.
One thing that should be fixed though is how multiple copies of cards are displayed in the collection. It was mildly annoying to have two copies of the basic set, but now with the core set and the golden core set you can have four copies of a card sitting in your collection. Blizzard should find a way to condense all versions of a card into one slot in your collection. It would save so much space.

This should be fixed in the future.
Blizzard: Other things to know about 20.0:
I bought the Pass but did not Pre-order. I had about 4300 gold going into the expansion. I already did some rewards track and used some of that gold. Opened about 50 packs.
Plaguemaw the Rotting (This may have been my level 20 track reward)
Also crafted Overlord Saurfang just because. Loving that deck. Got to my highest rank so far piloting it and 1 day away from new month.
So 3 legendaries opened. Didn't do too bad. Still have enough dust for another 2 legendaries if I want. Thinking of going back to craft Scholomance stuff I missed as I feel I got the least from their last year. I haven't used all the legends I got yet, plus all the free ones in Core, this feels really good. I got a lot of new toys, I'll be busy for a while.
Also Nozdormu the Eternal is going in most of my decks so far! Sadly only matched up with one Noz player. And yes I'm always in ranked. Speed stone lets go!
I think I'm more or less in dapperdog's boat this time:
Big preorder bundle = 85 Barrens packs (5 of them golden, nothing of note in there)
Another 40 packs with gold = 125 Barrens packs total
1 Priest pack and 6 Rogue packs from book of heros and Gladiator Valeera bundle
Results were golden Cannonmaster Smythe and Barak Kodobane from the preorder, Death Speaker Blackthorn, Guff Runetotem, Tavish Stormpike, Cariel Roame, a golden Xyrella, Apothecary Helbrim, Scabbs Cutterbutter from a Rogue pack, Tamsin Roame and Blademaster Samuro which was basically a wildcard because I bought the Tavern Pass this time.
Definitely a great opening, but all the wrong cards for me with the exception of Tavish and Scabbs. I day 1 crafted both Mage legendarys and might add what's need for the 12 angry orcs deck plus Kazakus.
My luck seemed to have been all over the place, got a bit unlucky with the pre-order, but in the 100 packs with gold I got like 10 legendaries with 3 of them being gold. All in all not too shabby

The following statement has no grounds but:
This is the first time I've opened all packs on my phone and it feels like the drop rate is worsened somehow.
I´ve bought 112 packs with gold, opened 8 legendaries (but not the ones I wanted, sigh), have all commons, all rares, missing 10 epics (none was golden). Not too bad I guess.
Opened 74 packs (all gold) and got 6 legendaries (minus mankrik and vol'jin ofc). 23 epics with 2 golden. I got lucky, very lucky.
Best pack and I'm stoked:
Opened 100 packs and got 9 legendaries, 3 of which were golden, and another 2 were in the same pack. Considering I didn't spend any real money this is probably the best pack opening I've had.
I usually buy both preorders and all gold is spent on day 1 on packs.
This time I had 145 packs from preorders + 140 from gold and I was quite happy, because I was able to get a complete set without crafting anything.
Next time I will not but the small preorder, with Tavern pass change it is not needed anymore.
Actually, I have one legendary thrice (and only this one) - I got the golden one from preorder golden cards and the regular one as first duplicate from Reward track at level 20 :-)
At Reward track I'm at level 30 after saving the dailies and weeklies
I opened a total of 243 Barrens packs yesterday (140 from the pre-orders, 100 from gold, and 3 from a lapsed Arena run and the two that you get early in the Rewards track). I was very fortunate to get the entire set except for two legendaries: Xyrella and Guff Runetotem. I also had the 5 golden packs from the large pre-order bundle. It's the second expansion in a row where my pack opening has been really excellent - averaged a legendary in just over every 15 packs.
I had one pack with two legendaries in it, and opened a golden Scabbs Cutterbutter in another.
Given how well Day One went, I won't need to buy any other Barrens based bundles to target guaranteed legendaries, and will either eventually craft the two I am missing or use dust to backfill my Wild/Classic collection a little more.
As I, and many people have said before, duplicate protection on all rarities of cards has been one of the best things Blizzard has done for how the HS economy "feels" to paying players like me. Getting 100% of rares in about 60 packs and 100% of epics in a set in about double that feels way better than getting stuck with 4 copies of Furnacefire Colossus or Sul'thraze!

Totally average. a bit better from my worst pack opening in Uldum expac.
Still saving 5000 gold for miniset, in case the price get more expensive.
EDIT, I know I only play Standard my whole life, I know I can get about 30K dust for all cards from Dragon Year and Classic. I could then craft all the missing cards from Barrens. But I just can't press that disenchant button for some reason. Very heavy decision.
Got the mega bundle, and had enough gold for 140+ packs.
Got a legendary in each of my golden packs, and got a complete FitB collection
I opened 90 packs bought with gold.
Got 5 legendaries. Golden Flurgl and regular Obama (barack kodobane), Xyrella, Saurfang and Canonmaster.
And i got Kazakus free frol the lvl 25 battle pass.
Crafted Mordresh fire eye and will craft Tamsin Roame and Kargal Battlescar. So I am really happy with what i got

Oh well, at least they're the powerful ones. I might buy the tavern pass and one of the bundles they release, hopefully they still include free legendaries in those.
