Combo Priest loses when it can't keep the board. This at 3 means they'll have a harder time taking the board early. I might have liked to see more, but this should be a meaningful nerf.
Maybe it's just my own bias speaking, but I'm kinda sad to see this card go. Post-buff, this was one of my favorite cards from Boomsday and I had a lot of fun with it. RIP

I agree. I really liked the buff to it. But now that Priest FINALLY got early game minions that are playable, it's way too snowball-y.

Question: will [Hearthstone Card (More Arms) Not Found] also be bumped to 3 mana? Because, when I originally saw the card at Boomsday, I thought that it would have been good but not broken with Extra Arms and [Hearthstone Card (More Arms) Not Found] at 2, making it a sligthly more expensive Blessing of Kings but with added flexibility. With both parts being at 3 mana, the deck will go back to unplayable status again, imo.
Rating cards on coolness factor rather than predicting power because I like screwing up rating averages (and because I suck at predicting real power levels, but we'll ignore that LUL) Wins per class (2/6/22): DH-197; Druid-996; Hunter-91«60; Mage-1056; Paladin-1126; Priest-746; Rogue-961; Shaman-1095; Warlock-871; Warrior-906
RIP 2 mana Extra Arms. You will sorely be missed by my Even Priest, Egg Priest, Aggro Priest, and Miracle Priest.
IMO these nerfs are too early since Combo Priest has existed as a powerful deck for all of 2 weeks. If they felt they need to do something about the deck, they should have Hall of Famed Divine Spirit since it has been a problem card in the past and limits design space. Extra Arms caused 0 issues after its buff until SoU came out and it feels like the card is being wrongly blamed here.
This card was not even remotely problematic, and it was so important to the fabled Zoo Priest, which never quite materialized but could have next expansion. Why, Blizzard?

To be honest, gettin the buff on a 1-drop was always so strong. And i know this will be irrelevant for 95% of playerbase, but i love the nerf for arena. It was almost an auto-win situation when that happened and it wasnt even that hard. Always reminded me the old Velen's Chosen power level when played on curve on a 2-drop, was very hard to lose from that position. With Extra Arms, you could have done it turn earlier.

Was combo priest such a problem? This seems like it was totally unnecessary
It really wasn't. The deck was strong because the meta wasn't targeting it (yet) and it required quite a bit of skill to pilot correctly.
Oh well, I guess your nerf was long overdue, Anduin. How dare you have a good deck before the third expansion of the year is released.
as much as I want to agree, Priest was growing to be a real problem. It was already one of the best decks at legend and only needed some basic knowledge to pilot correctly.
The hit the wwrong card, but Priest definitely needed the nerf unless you want a retrain of Gadgetzan era Dragon Priest
I've played a fair bit of Quest Priest in Standard recently, and this card is very strong. Did it need a nerf? I don't think so. There were some scenarios where it was sort of OP in controlling the board, especially in conjunction with other cards like COH, but any good card should be able to do awesome things at least some of the time. I just think it sucks that they buffed it in the first place, only to nerf it again. I would argue for the More Arms to still cost 2, so we sort of split the difference. Same with Pocket Galaxy: how about 6 mana?
I have mixed feelings about this. On one hand, I don't think it's a problematic card, and at 3-mana was grossly underpowered, at 2-mana feels just right.
On the other hand, it's kind of gross tempo to play on 2 on a Northshire Cleric.
Blizz be like: Let\s butcher this because priest went out of garbage tier for 2 weeks! Meanwhile, let's leave agrro mech hunter bullshit as it was. Also, let's "nerf" control warrior.

Yeah you might be right. I just feel like some of priest's biggest counters (such as aggro warrior) were seeing little play because of their miserable matchup against control warrior. Which is why priest looked so strong. Oh well, I guess we'll never find out.
Combo priest only just became a thing. They have never before nerfed something this fast. It's unprecedented. Only conclusion I can come to is that they want the priest class to remain unplayable, like it was for ... I don't even know how long.

According to 2 meta analysis I saw the only reason aggro warrior isn't tier 1 ATM is it's abysmal WR vs control warrior.
A class that can heal their own minions is very hard to stop, especially when they get buffs early on. Iksar even mentioned how strong Priests already are, leaving them completely untouched would have resulted in a disaster.
You know? This doesn't even feel fair. Priest finally has a deck that is a bit about tempo. INSTANERF within 3 weeks... Meanwhile they let control warrior (also counting odd warrior) plague the ladder for a year before doing anything specific about it..
I get the issues with this being a 2 mana on outset. Northshire into Extra Arms feels bad. BUT, why not bump EA to 3 mana and keep 'More Arms!' at 2? Not like that couldn't be done. Similar approach could be taken to fix Twinspell but in the opposite direction. Initial iteration costs X, while the Twinspelled version costs X+1.
I'm not sure this kills priest, but it is the first proactive nerf I've seen from Blizzard to-date (that I can remember).
Combo was already shooting up in popularity and win rate. This should keep it from absolutely crushing every matchup, since they already do just fine without pulling this in their opening hand.

I have to ask what you're referring to. The lists I've seen of combo priest use Northshire Cleric and Lightwarden. Those cards have never not been available. I see no other 1 drops being played right now, aside from maybe Crystallizer which is also not new. Can you enlighten me as to what these new priest minions are that required a nerf to Extra Arms because they are so snowball-y? (And before you answer, Grandmummy does not count as being snowball-y with a 2-cost Extra Arms.)
Pretty sure this nerf completely tanks the combo priest archetype. Maybe too soon to call it, but from what I've seen, the combo priest deck is now dead in the water.

Wow guys I found these super cool cards for this expansion called "The Crystalarium"? Gee willakers, I wonder who made these cards?!?!?! https://outof.cards/forums/fan-creations/custom-hearthstone/321-wip-fan-expansion-the-crystalarium-a-deepholm-expansion-52819-11-new-cards

Also agreed on that.
I think this unbuff was unfair
Well i personaly did not see the need do nerf this card ... i think it was one good tool priest had for early game ... i do not like this nerf!
Challenge me ... when you're ready to duel a god!

does nothing to the deck tbh
Couldn't they just nerf one of the 2 halves of the twinspell?

This nerf should have been Northshire Cleric, Extra Arms was a good tool for Priest but not the reason the class is overtuned currently
twitch.tv/BentoHS
FWIW - this card's win-rate stats were comparable to Luna's and Boom's. This nerf is pretty necessary.
If they wanted to hit Priest I feel like Northshire Cleric, Divine Spirit, or Inner Fire should have been hit instead but eh I'm pretty neutral on this change

Bad buff failure.
Bad nerf in general.
"This is fixes every issue in Priest""

I tried having fun once.
It was awful.

They could also just delete priest from stanard now.

worst community ever
I genuinely thought this was a joke thread at first. What the heck
I dunno... I feel like priest needed this at 2 mana, although it could feel quite bad to play against.
Part of me wishes they kept it at 2 mana but changed the buff (+2 attack only or maybe +2/+1)
Oh well was really made too strong at 2 I think it would be best as a 3 mana but 2 mana token card, but they probably just deleted the card.

I do what I must, when I must. Know this well.

To see how strong Extra Arms is just compare it to Blessing of Kings.
It can be the same card - 4 mana +4/+4, but also
This should be 3 mana +2/+3 Twinspell.

that's factually not true. The card from priest that hast about 64% wr and is kept 90+ percent of the time is Cleric, not Extra Arms.

Stoked for this nerf! Very annoying card these days.

can we start a petition to change it back? or is it too late?
