Was thinking of a good way to nerf rez priest that would still make the deck playable and it came to me. Make the rez mechanic the same as in Skyrim.
If you don't know in skyrim you have spells to resurrect things, just like in hearthstone, those things come to life and do your bidding even though they're dead. But after they die a second time, after being reanimated they turn to ash, and you can't resurrect them again. This is the change to rez priest that i think would be the best for both sides. Priest can still be bullshit resurrecting the lich king or ragnaros, but not several times throughout the game, they would have to play more minions which would dilute their pool so they wouldn't automatically get the lich king or ragnaros, or statue every time. This would make the deck less consistent, and make it easier to win against.
What do you think?
Spellburst - A new keyword! This is an effect that triggers only one time, on casting a spell. How exactly it works? Once x game or once x spell cast or once x turn ?

How do you feel about this change?
Once these changes are live, players will be able to disenchant the adjusted cards for their full Arcane Dust value for two weeks.

A few updates were pushed throughout the day today to support the new Scholomance Academy Hearthstone expansion and more! These updates have come a bit later and earlier than originally planned.
For the Out of Cards site anniversary last month, a large bundled site update was planned to release. Long story short, it was not released due to having some unfinished pieces (including the auto-sync plugin) and things have been very busy which has resulted in further... you guessed it... delays. I decided to push everything that was fully ready today due to the increased expansion traffic and since there were some quality of life updates, it would be helpful for everyone to get them today.

You made it this far. If you want to participate in an alpha test of our automatic collection syncing plugin for Hearthstone Deck Tracker, here's what you need to know. Once we're comfortable with it, a front-page announcement will be made. I want to get automatic plugin updates happening for that.
Now, onto the fun stuff!
Out of Cards now has an alpha plugin for Hearthstone Deck Tracker. This only works on Windows. It will automatically sync your collection to the site. It will require logging into the plugin through your Out of Cards account so we can sync the data.
Interested and on Windows? Let's get it installed!

So about 2 months ago I just kinda short-circuited and uninstalled Hearthstone for the first time in years (which I assume all of you have noticed seeing how I was clearly the most illustrious personality on this site and my sudden absence must have been considered a national tragedy comparable to the Hindenburg disaster).
Surprisingly enough during that whole time I didn't actually miss Hearthstone at all. It was an incredibly freeing experience and I would honestly recommend it to anyone who feels burnt out with the game. Losing a few months of gold/cards really isn't that bad now that you easily get all your rares and commons within the first 30 packs of a new expansions anyways.
Spent my time catching up with League again, but now that has lost its appeal again and since the new expansion is just around the corner (and I thought it wouldn't be a bad idea to cash in on the nerf refunds) I decided to check back in.
Now obviously I'm not completely out of the loop, but I thought it would be fun to let you people give me a TL;DR of the last two months, just so I can get into the spirit of losing my sanity once I realize why I quit in the first place.
Also, if you wanna hear a funny anecdote: I quit just before the Priestess of Fury nerfs hit so despite holding on to my extra copies because I knew it would get hit eventually I still didn't manage to actually cash in on the extra dust...and the funny thing is I don't even really care anymore. i realized I was way too focused on trying to maximize ressources when I barely even used them. I'm really going to try and focus on just building fun decks now and probably only play every other day for fun and quests while I let my absurdly large dustbin and draconic dusting policy carry me through the expansions.

Hey, all.
As the title suggests, I am kinda inexperienced, when it comes to hs battlegrounds, and I would appreciate some tips on how to improve my gameplay. Very often I feel like I am making crucial mistakes in the mid game, only because I don't know how to manage my board, how to position some minions and what direction I should take.
Before I continue, I would like to clarify, that I am not interested in achieving a high rating. I just want to try out the cool late-game builds more often. However, I don't always get good or synergistic minions at start and I have absolutely no clue what to buy, in order to increase my chances to survive. In some cases I feel like I am receiving too much damage (cuz my build is probably weak) and I decide to roll and find better minions to replace the current weaker ones instead of upgrading my tavern tier. The problem is, that sometimes I don't get anything good and I fall behind even more so than before.
I wish I could've shared some of my games with you, in order to be more specific, but, sadly, I don't use a deck tracker. Though, I could try to remember some minion choices and mention them here. Before I continue, I would like to add, that I am following the general strategy for the first few rounds: On turn 1, I buy either a token generator or a well-statted minion. On turn 2, I usually upgrade my tier. On turn 3, I sell the bought minion and buy two new ones (if the presented choices are better than my tier 1 minion, that is). If the presented choices are overall weak, then I reroll and try to find a good addition. On turn 4, I usually buy two minions. On turn 5, I upgrade my tavern tier and buy a minion. From there onwards (up until I reach the fifth tier), things become confusing for me. Sometimes I can't evaluate which minion from a certain tribe underperforms and needs to be replaced. This becomes more apparent, when I get stuck with a menagerie build.
Example 1: Yesterday on turn 4 I had the possibility to buy two from these three minions - harvest golem, gambler and imprisoner. I picked the latter two, because I thought I needed a taunt and I could always replace the pirate with a more synergistic minion. I think the demon was a good choice, but the 3/3 pirate didn't prove to be that useful. A few rerolls later, I saw a replicating menace, which would have been used as an argument to go for the golem.
Example 2: In one game, I had really shitty minion offerings on turn 4. Like, the only good minion was the 2/2 bomb; all others were pogo-level bad. So I considered upgrading my tavern tier instead. I don't remember how the game went for me, but what do you think of this play?
Like I said, I get confused with the minion positioning too. Normally I put the stickier minions in front of the more fragile ones, because they can take several hits. The exceptions are minions, that I use to get rid of divine shields from taunts, being in front, provocative minions (soul juggler) being last and deathrattles that fall in one of those categories. I am also very careful with the taunt positioning, in order to play around cleave, and I try to have only one taunt. But there are many other exceptions to those rules, which I am not knowledgeable in. Like, where should I put poisonous minions? Or big taunts? - I have seen streamers putting them first and last. Where do I keep a hydra in a goldrin-macaw build - after the macaw or the goldrin? I have seen some streamers putting their cleave between both goldrins.
I am sure I am missing a lot more things to talk about, so your help will be much appreciated. I don't consider myself a beginner, I think I just need more advanced tips. If you understood my case and know some helpful links, I will gladly check them out.

I'm prolly just ignorant here but Why Doesn't Blizzard do More Crowdfunding Promos to Increase the Prize Pools of Tournaments?
By this mean, promos like the pack promo earlier this year where 50% of the income was used to increase the prize pool of Masters.
Why don't we have more of these? I'm thinking bigger prize pools would be better for all the players. For example, they could increase the consolation prize for players, they could increase the prizes from 3rd place below, etc.
I personally wouldn't mind buying more packs if they support the competitive side of HS.

When making a custom class, the Basic Set is arguably the hardest set to get right. We all want to get to our flashy cards as soon as possible, but the Basic Set is the most important set. It defines the groundwork for the class. The quality of your Basic Set will greatly impact the rest of your class. The other hard part about it is that they can't be very obscure, because they're intended to be... Basic. They're cards that are intended to be very simple, yet very essential for the class.
Each class's Basic set should include:
Single Target Damage
AoE
Every class should have access to at least one non-friendly AoE with Shaman being the odd one out, presumably because they have Lightning Storm in the Classic set. Even Rogue, whom is supposedly the epitome of weak when it comes to AoE, still has Fan of Knives in their Basic set (and formerly, Vanish as well).
Card Draw
Both Shaman and Priest are notably odd men out here. Shaman can be assumed to be out because of the existence of Mana Tide Totem in the Classic set. Priest is out because of the rotation of Northshire Cleric out of the Basic set and the change to Power Word: Shield.
Removal/Neutralization
Druid this time is the exception to all of the other classes. We can assume this is because removal is supposed to be a weakness for Druid and they make up in other aspects. Demon Hunter similarly has no direct hard removal, but does have a lot of access to damage and specializes in attacking (whether it be from your hero or your minions).
Once you get past that, you can also add cards that specifically fit to your class's themes. For example:
Northshire Cleric would also count for this category, but his since left the Basic set.
A class's Basic set usually only has 1 or 2 minions.
The class with the most is Hunter and Demon Hunter with 4. If you have more than 4 minions in your Basic set, you should cut a few of them. Rogue formerly used to be the only class with none, but has since had Plaguebringer added. For reference, here is the number of minions in each class's Basic set:
*Formerly 0
Top tip: It's also a really good idea for cards to follow more than 1 aspect, increasing utility and space. For example:
This doesn't mean you should try to make every card like this, but it's nice to have should it happen. Some classes (Shaman and Druid) in particular may not follow some of these categories, in part because they have easy to access cards in the Classic set (Mana Tide Totem, Lightning Storm) or are intended to be weak in a particular aspect. You could possibly justify skipping one of these should that come up.

So any guesses/expectation what's the expansion is gonna be about?
hoping for an expansion about an old warcraft event since I didn't play wow, TBH I didn't see any hint or something about the expansion.. looking at the nerfed cards we might see more impactful dragons, high cost rogue cards and strong warrior weapons.. but as a theme.. no clue apart from the article in the site.
in other words ... how much time I still have to try to reach Legend with my DH, before the nerf? tks

I feel like Jinx level up is still to weak when compared to the two other champions that are most like her. Her level up ability is essentially a variant on Ezreal and Lux but is substantially weaker.
Lux ability is free, hits a unit and face, and can be used multiple times in one turn.
Ezreal ability hits face for half the damage of Jinx rockets but can be triggered many times in one turn, is free, and essentially burst speed since you don't have to cast it.
Jinx only hits face, same as Ezreal but hits for 4, but her skill is slow speed like Lux, and can't be chained unlike both Lux and Ezreal. Then to top it off it costs 1 mana. So its not even free. But it requires just as much prep work to pull off as the other two.
Jinx rocket should firstly be free at the minimum and be able to be cast multiple times a turn just like her competition. Jinx should be the middle ground between Lux and Ezreal. Not the ugly step child they keep locked up in the attic and occasionally feed fish heads to from time to time.

Tier 1 - Noxious
It's hard to argue that Noxious isn't the highest played and highest win rate region atm because statistically it is.
Run it allegiance, run it with p/z, run it with ionia, run it with frejord, run it with shadow.
The reason why this region does so well is it's auto includes, the fact that you're going to run transfusion, disciple, demolitionist, and probably grenadier.
That's your 12 - 2 drops right there zero thought required, now what's the rest of your list going to be, well you have lots of options but the core is always going to be strong regardless.
Tier 2 - Freijord
mid range in general is a little weak atm so while this regions has the best champions overall, it might not matter if things remain as fast as they are right now.
That being said, pairing this region with shadow makes for solid control lists, and noxious makes up for the regions weak 2 drops.
I would stay away from bilgewater now that yoink has been nerfed twice in a row.
Omen hawk remains the best 1 drop in the game, and fury of the north is the best trick.
Don't expect this region to go anywhere regardless of the meta.
Tier 3 - Ionia
Did you know that elusives are in two of the best decks in the game and that will of ionia is under-costed and concussive palm is now a 3 of
At the end of the day it doesn't really matter that Yasuo, Lee Sin, and Karma aren't as good as they once were, because we have Zed
The nerf to solitary monk doesn't really hurt all that much and just puts the card where it should be power level wise
Tier 4 - Shadow Isles
Shadow will always be relevant due to healing, removal, recursion and it's ability to create chump blocks
But we can't pretend that the region isn't becoming more of a splash for key cards as of late, as opposed to an all in choice.
So we see it go down a tier
Tier 5 - Bilgewater
Yoink getting nerfed over and over again has hurt this region but it still has a lot to offer
Kegs are strong, and make it rain is the best early anti aggro tool
It goes wide surprisingly well, it has cycling tools, it has riptide rex, it can be aggressive and it has strong champs
Deep is always something to keep your eye on as well, just waiting beneath the surface to be tier 1 again
Tier 6 - P/Z
A pretty low playrate region excluding ezreal lists, which is currently this regions saving grace
The issue is that you are forced to cast spells to kill your opponents units, and only Ezreal benefits from this
So you play him
Jinx requires you to get rid of your hand, and while she is better than people think, it's easy to disrupt her play pattern
Heimer is good, but he's honestly played as more of an Ionia card right now, and doesn't even fit his region
Vi is just a fully stated thresh that doesn't tutor is isn't very exciting to play
Tier 7 - Demacia
This is the region that people collectively agreed that they didn't like and didn't want to be good
They nerfed it's mid range options, they nerfed it's buffs, they nerfed it's late game win cons
Unfortunately, that puts it as a worse version of Noxious right now
When the reality is that this region should probably counter Noxious on paper, as it used to.
But do we want to see the return of bannerman, I would be okay with it, but I imagine others wouldn't
Anyway that's the update, let me know what you guys think, and what I inevitable got wrong

Here's a few ideas I had about how to make Heimerdinger less impactful and make it possible for Heimer to survive multiple turns without the opponent immediately losing:
Version 1 (Round Start Heimer):

This version of Heimerdinger would motivate players to cast only high cost spells for Heimer, instead of just spamming cheap spells like currently. Since Heimer can only summon 1 turret per round, this also prevents the spamming of 3 cost elusive turrets. This might seem like a heavy nerf, which is why I gave Heimer more stats to compensate. Also, players can summon cheap turrets from hand so that Heimer summons bigger turrets, if they cast low cost spells that turn.
Version 2 (Attack):

This version of Heimerdinger requires you to attack to get free turrets, which allows the opponent to block heimer and damage him (similar to Shen). However, with 6 Health Heimer will likely survive the first attack. This would probably be the lowest powerlevel version of Heimerdinger, but with Synergy like Sumpworks Map I think he'd still be viable.
Version 3 (Transformation):

This is probably my favorite rework of Heimerdinger since it completely changes how you play the card. By requiring an ally to get the support effect to work, this version of Heimerdinger would require actually having minions in your deck (or spells like Scrapdash Assembly). Also, because the Turret is based on the total cost of the spells you cast, it opens up interesting plays about which spells to cast to get different turrets. The versions' level up is also the most interruptible, through killing, frostbiting, or stunning the turrets. Because it also lasts across the game, it makes later Heimerdingers more likely to be able to attack as the level two version. Once Heimerdinger levels up, he becomes much more powerful and lets you make the turrets have higher stats than they would normally have. Quick Attack both reflects one of Heimerdinger's LoL abilities and makes Heimerdinger more difficult to kill while he's attacking. The stats could definitely be adjusted to make it more balanced, but I think this version of Heimerdinger is very interesting and very disruptable.
Which version of Heimerdinger do you think would be best? Are there other reworks you've thought of?

Imgur has caused problems for me right from the start. If I use the mobile app, it usually doesn't upload more than one image. If I try to upload a second one, an error occurs after some time and the image appears as "hidden" in my galery without a thing I could do about it but delete it. I usually work around this by loging in via browser in desktop mode. If I upload this way, I also receive error notifications (though different ones), but the images get uploaded properly nevertheless.
This time, I wanted to upload 28 images for my custom expansion and started out on my laptop for this special occasion. The first 15 went smoothly, but now imgur says "Something went wrong with CREATE_ALBUM_FAIL. Please try later" and that's that. Mobile doesn't work, Internet Explorer doesn't work, Chrome doesn't work. On top of this, the community on imgur seems to be made of very special people. I created my account with WCDC 1 and don't use it for anything else but custom HS cards. Every one of them gets downvoted to hell, no matter if I tag them as custom HS content or not.
So I tried to look for alternatives and uploaded my stuff to Flickr. That went smoothly and it was even possible to organize the images in an album while still being able to copy indivudal links for all of them, something I couldn't manage with imgur. This time, I wasn't able to post the image in a forum post. I tried the links provided via "share", "embed" and "BBCode". No display in here.
Any ideas how to solve this?
for the announcement of the announcement?
