Hello someone know why i dont get full dust refund anymore for the nerfed cards

The big take away from this update has been the consistent effort on the part of Riot to stop decks who essentially have un-fun play patterns from being dominant...

1. Aggro Nox's overpowered 2 mana slot has been gutted , this is good for the health of the game there was literally 12 auto includes in the slot

2. Exclusives have been nerfed with will of ionia, Heimer, solitary monk last patch, and shadow assassin

3. Discard decks buffed substantially, this is good for jinx, and gives Draven a home outside of aggro

4. Frejord champs tweaked, very necessary and healthy

So we should be heading to a midrange meta, as long as Ezreal control isn't oppressive, and there is a pretty serious chance of that

If you want a list of strong decks going forward here are a few likely options...

1. Any variant of bilgewater/Dem bannerman, scout or aggro focused doesn't matter

2. They who endure, the deck never went anywhere, but it should be relatively better now

3. Deep is similarly positioned to do well

4. Ezreal control variants, yep nuff said

5. Ash decks, usually with noxious splash

6. Unknown aggro elusive list, just using the cards that haven't been nerfed along with a splash

I have to say: I am enjoying this "Spirit Blossom" event a lot more than I thought I would.  When I first read about it I thought it sounded fairly underwhelming, but I just spent the past hour diving in and its really reinvigorated my enthusiasm for LoR.  Even though content-wise its "just" a new lab, new quests, and new reward path, for some reason they feel very fresh.  I think the decision to create the new currency, petals, instead of just recycling XP is inspired--it really makes the event progression feel different from the base game even though its practically very similar.   And these new epic quests are well balanced: challenging enough that you can't just fumble through them with a few games, but not so much that you get discouraged.  The OR/AND stuff is pretty cute too.  I made it through the "Win 4 Lab games" quest, and am about 2/3 through the "Toss" quest.

I haven't bought the season pass yet, but now I'm seriously considering it.

What do you guys think?  I saw the thread about the ephemeral/elusive deck in the lab which I agree is a bit overtuned, but in general I haven't seen a lot of comments about the event overall.

Disconnected twice tonight, costly ones. One my opponent seemed to afk and when I finally reset it I came back and no game. Next one was Battlegrounds where it got stuck on Resuming... I've played like 5 games tonight and one opponent was not there probably a disconnect. And before I did on the BG game there was another person blacked out. Anyone else having this issue?

Hey everyone, I'm a diamond wild player playing exclusively Big Shaman... with a personal twist- Including two copies of Grand Archivist is a seemingly questionable move but so far it has been very powerful.

The reasoning is (and why my spells differ so greatly from other BS's) is that the only bad picks from the deck are casting Ancestral on an opponent's minion or an early Healing Rain. Lightning Storm can be a welcome pirate clear although the overload can be bad. Hagatha's, while ineffective, is still fine because it thins it out of the deck being that it is a bad top deck.

It has only happened once out of maybe 30 games that they have caused me to go into fatigue, but if you are facing a lot of control include only one of them. Big Shaman tends to stomp out far before it happens and a Eureka or Ancestral call being drawn is back-breaking.

It boggles my mind why I rarely run into another Big Shaman on the ladder! This deck is insanely enjoyable. Well worth your dust; the win percent is around 65%.

She doesn't make a rocket when in combat.

• Pyramad – I find his hero power works really well in the early game while your Weaver is still growing. If you have a weaver on turn 1 and find two demons, you could potentially have a 5/13 minion by turn 3.
• Maiev – I find that she does extremely well with Demons because you inherently end up staying on Tier 1 for a couple extra turns anyways, so you have a chance to look for Wrath Weavers and demons early on.
• Hooktusk – she is absolutely awful post-nerf and you shouldn’t play her if you can avoid it, but her hero power does let you have additional chances at finding Tier 1 demons and Wrath Weavers
• Rafaam – works well for the same logic as Maiev, you stay on tier 1 for a couple extra turns anyways so if Weavers show up in the shop you can grab them. People also love giving you 2/4 Vulgar demons when you’re Raf so you can likely get an early triple of these
• George – again, not a great hero and you should probably avoid picking him, but unlike a lot of other compositions, a lot of your eventual end-game minions are bought pretty early so you can use your hero power on minions like Wrath Weavers and Soul Jugglers and these minions will be with you for most of the game. Playing demons and staying on Tier 1 a couple extra turns as George as opposed to tiering on turn 2 also reduces the chance you lose your first 4-5 fights fighting other heroes that have much more impactful early-game hero powers.
• Reno Jackson – I won’t always use my hero power on the Wrath Weaver because once you do you’re forcing demons 100%, however if there is an early Wrath Weaver on board and one other demon, having a golden 6/6 by turn 3 that gains +4/+4 every single turn can usually guarantee you a spot in the top 4.

• Goldgrubber – big demons often end up running a lot of golden cards on their board, between Wrath Weavers, Floating Watchers and Soul Jugglers being the most common, Goldgrubber works really well alongside these golden minions
• Brann – I personally like picking up Brann when I play big demons, not only is it a good card to have on hand in case you want to transition to Murlocs but in the late game you can taunt most of your board and pick up some Strongshell Scavengers (give your taunt minions +2/+2) and beef up your stats quite quickly. Plus, with the introduction of Amalgadon having the Brann on hand gives it a couple extra adaptations and Amalgadon is always a welcome addition
• Selfless hero – a bit of an underrated card in my opinion but having a golden selfless hero is amazing for a big demon board, especially when you’re not running jugglers and demon tokens.

• Finding a golden Wrath Weaver is one of the most important aspects of the composition. Having a golden Wrath Weaver and 10 gold means it’s 5 health for a 20/20 buff on your minion in the early game. Often, I’ll find myself staying on a lower tier for an extra turn or two just rolling to make sure I get a golden Weaver.
• Considering how fast the meta is right now, building a composition where essentially you cap out at tier 5 with Malganis and Voidlords is really nice because you don’t need to search for 6* minions to make your board work (such as Beasts with mama bear, Murlocs with megasaur and Pirates with Dread Admiral). Imp Mama is a nice addition if you’re playing jugglers but you absolutely don’t require one to make your board work. As a result, even if you don’t necessarily win 1st place in every lobby, I find you consistently do well with big demons because it’s less of a all-or-nothing approach going for those highroll discovers
• 1/3 Unstable Ghoul combined with an imp mama on board is an effective way of fighting against mech boards and murlocs that may have divine shield, just be careful of cleaves because your imp mama will spawn a taunt demon to the right of herself
• Sometimes when I murloc transition, I’ll save the Wrath Weaver and not sell it that turn, just as a bit of an insurance policy in-case I low-roll with my transition, having a taunted 50/50 Wrath Weaver is sometimes enough to kill a couple big minions and either win the fight or keep you alive. I also find when I do this I don’t necessarily always need to hit the nuts and get divine/poison murlocs, having a big Wrath Weaver on board and a couple of bran-bagurgled murlocs is sometimes enough and you can transition over the course of 2-3 turns rather than a single turn.

What does everyone think of having all the card reveals (excluding the initial announcement) happen over the course of one week?

Personally, I’m a bit disappointed because instead of having a true reveal season we’re having a reveal week. Seeing new cards and thinking about them is always exciting for me, even more so than actually playing the cards (since most cards don’t live up to their hypothetical potential). Seeing cards in one big card dump or concentrated in a few days makes each card feel less unique and causes me to spend far less time thinking about them. What do y’all think?

With the release of Demon Hunter blizzard added in the Initiate set for demon hunter which is a set of 20 powerful cards. Quite a few of which are DH staples. However this set won't be around forever and what will happen to DH then well Blizzard has stated that a Classic set would eventually be released probably after the rotation of the Initiate set. But what would would this set look like well i tried making it to see what it could look like.

What is the purpose of this basic set? - Basic set is meant to introduce the main mechanics/archetypes of the class while also highlighting their it's supposed to include a bunch of good cards but nothing to powerful.

Look. I'm bored. You're bored. It's still about a week until the reveals start. So let'S have some fun speculating about things that probably will end up very differently anyways.

Now the new expansion brings us dual-class cards. We also already know all the 10 dual class combinations. Finally, we also know (basically) that there will be a legendary for each dual class combo which will be one of the teachers at the school.

The question is, how will these dual class cards (especially the legendaries) turn out?

Here's what we got so far:

Wand Thief: a basic minion with a Rogue keyword as the activator and a classic Mage staple of discovering a Mage spell (as opposed to just discovering a spell in general). It demonstrates the core philosophy of these cards of being a combination of two class specific previously established mechanics.

Lightning Bloom: Same principle as before, but even more simplified. They took a previously nerfed card (Innervate) and essentially "rebooted" it with the added caveat of Shaman overload. Not so much a strong combination of effects, but rather a very powerful effect (that previously only Druid had access to) balanced by a downside.

Devolving Missiles: a more interesting example of combining a Shaman staple (Evolve/Devolve) and combining it with a recurring Mage theme of damage being applied through split missiles

Shan'do Wildclaw: finally, our first and so far only dual class legendary. She seems to be a rather unique case because instead of having an effect that combines two aspects from both classes she splits them up by utilizing the Druid-only [Hearthstone Card (Choose one) Not Found] keyword. As a result we're getting the Keleseth-esque deck buff that is (currently) clearly intended for midrange Beast Hunter, while the other option is a 3-mana tribal Faceless Manipulator which, while still useful for Hunter, has some rather obvious synergies with the Big Beasts that Druid keeps getting from time to time (such as Winged Guardian). The interesting part is that while there seems to be a clear divide between the options, there is always the option to add support for either class, making it very well executed concept. Basically it confirms that Beasts will be more relevant for these classes in the future.

So...with all that in mind, where will these dual class cards go mechanically and thematically? Let's speculate:

Demon Hunter/Warlock

It's pretty obviously going to be a Demonology focussed class. The teacher will either be a demon or have demon synergy. Similar things will occur with the other cards. I think there's a decent possibility that some sort of Lifesteal-control tool will be among them. Most definitely some sort of Big Demon support for both DH and Warlock. A self-damage synergy card might be in there as well seeing how DH also has the proclivity of ramming their face into spiky things.

Druid/Hunter

As evidenced by the legendary it will most likely be Beast focussed. Maybe there'll be one of the classic Choose One shapeshifters with a possible Hunter twist. Or we just get some allround beasts (both big and small). Either way it's a great opportunity to support the beast archetype for both these classes without having to print lame neutrals

Hunter/Demon Hunter

now the most obvious overlap here would be sm0rc, but I actually think that's not gonna be the case. I think we're gonna be looking at a more token focussed approach. Both Hunter and DH have synergy with small rushing tokens (and Token DH so far has been quite weak...most likely intentionally). Either way I don't believe they'd just push more aggro cards for two classes that already excel at it. THere's also potential for a weapon somewhere in there.

Mage/Shaman

Missiles aren't really much to go by, but it'S fair to assume that there will be an emphasis on spells. Maybe we'll even get some more Burn Spells (which is a major shared theme), some Overload limited card draw, or just some strong AoE. I think it's a safe bet that they'll be referencing the Freeze Shaman meme one more time....but like...good..

Paladin/Warrior

Really hard to evaluate. There's not a lot of overlap between these classes. Handbuff could make a return, but at this point that mechanic just seems dead anyways. A weapon is probably a safe bet. Maybe there'll be more Armor+Healing interactions like Thekal....or maybe Paladin can finally get a proper boardclear by proxy. Big taunts are also a possibility.

Priest/Paladin

aside from the ultra-obvious healing cards there might also be some stat manipulation going on. Perhaps we even see the return of Reborn by way of a substitute teacher from Uldum or something like that. The classes also occasionally share a Deathrattle theme so maybe there's something here. Honestly I feel like there'S too much similarity to really predict how they'll make interesting combinations, but I assume they wouldn't have paired them up if they didn't have a plan.

Rogue/Mage

Equal possibility for burn spells or single target removal. Spell damage with a twist could also be in there. If I had to guess the legendary it would probably involve something about generating extra value. Maybe there'll be some cool stealth minions for mage. The most obvious combo will be a secret though. Both Mage and Rogue need more Secret support and this can easily take care of both...although how a shared secret would look like is anyone's guess.

Shaman/Druid

Lightning Bloom isn't much to go by. I also doubt they'd just print some powerful single-target or AOE removal for Druid (unless it comes with a heavy overload cost). Healing is a shared theme so maybe there's something to find there. There's also shared token strategies between the two. I feel like a Choose One card with two Shaman effects is a likely outcome.

Warlock/Priest

Healing for Warlock. If they don't give us healing for Warlock via this (even if conditional) I'm gonna lose it. Aside from that there's probably going to be some crazy mixed boardwipe and maybe some "kill own stuff and also rez it" shenanigans.

Warrior/Rogue

Aside from the obvious weapons and pirates (perhaps too obvious), this might be a sneaky way for Rogue to get some sort of lifegain. So far nothing suggests that these dual class cards will undermine class weaknesses, but who knows at this point? They can always just come up with a gimmick to limit its usefulness. Either way we should get some sort of BUrgle support through this.

And that's it. That's all I can come up with, but maybe someone else has even more ideas. Feel free to share.

With the addition of Amalgadon, Murlocs got a serious power boost and murlocs are winning the majority of the lobbies at my level. There's nothing more frustrating than knowing halfway through a game that there's no chance of winning the lobby with your current board and that's why you always need to consider the potential of a murloc transition.

When to look towards Murloc Transitions:

• When you’re relatively ahead, if you’re weak compared to the lobby, you need to be more concerned about not dying

• You start to find the pieces of the murloc transition in the shop (usually the first piece I find that normally triggers the idea of the transition is finding a Brann)

• Based on the lobby, you’re building a 2nd place board, for example if there’s six players alive and three of them are playing murlocs, chances are one of them will end up with the ultimate divine shield murloc board. If you’re playing something like big demons, you’re unlikely to beat them in a final 1v1 fight, so you either play for 2nd place or look for your own murloc board

Key cards for the murloc transition:

• Brann

• Murloc tidehunter (2/1 murloc)

• Primalfin Lookout

• Khadgar

• Megasaur

You don’t need all of the above to complete the transition however the more of the above that you do have, the more likely you will be successful in your transition.

When to actually pull off the transition:

• When you have enough of the above pieces to reasonably attempt a transition (if you're already holding a megasaur I'd be comfortable with fewer pieces however if you don't have one yet I'd be more hesitant)

• Fighting a demon juggler board – similarly, unless you’ve been preparing for your murloc transition for a couple turns and have stockpiled bagurgles and coldlights, your murlocs may still get destroyed by the enemy’s Soul jugglers

• Fighting a beast board – if you’re fighting an enemy with a mama bear and dirty rats, your murlocs will not be strong enough to survive hits from the enemy’s 6/6 rats that spawn unless you get very lucky and are able to snipe the mama bear. Additional, an enemy cleave from a cave hydra destroys multiple divine shields.

I put together a video showing a game where I was playing as pirates and I knew I could not win the lobby so I ended up doing a murloc transition. It's not a perfect example by any means however it's a realistic average transition for me:

Bug Fixes

• BBCode no longer renders when quoting a comment.
  • This fixes an issue where you'd receive rendered BBCode when quoting someone and the result was sometimes less than ideal. It also sucked because if you quoted a deck embed, that deck embed would never update again since it lost its BBCode.

Hearthstone

• Multiclass cards now display in decklists.
• Added missing class header for Demon Hunters in the expansion guide.

After the update, I rerolled quest and it deleted the quest without giving me a different one.

I've been playing Hearthstone since way back in beta and legend has always been out of my reach but today I finally made it. I couldn't have gotten there without this site, which helped me learn about a lot of different decks that are out there and how to play with/against them. Probably couldn't have gotten there either without the change in the ranked system (or the latest round of nerfs to other decks), but hey, you gotta play the game that's there, right?

A couple of months ago I was one win away on three separate occasions and I fell back and I thought I'd never get back there again. Today I started out a star into Diamond 2, went 5-1, was one star away then lost, took a break and came back and won two in a row and hit legend. Feels pretty good! If you're out there in the "so close, yet so far" category like I have been for a long time, let me just say that I know you can do it.

Curious to see how many people here still enjoy ladder play and which decks you guys are bringing to the fight.

My latest creation is Anivia / Braum variation centered around... try to guess this one: Absorb Soul!!!
I am currenlty having a great deal of sucess with it, excels against aggro/burn decks and Anivia wins by herself if the game goes on for too long. Here is the list:  

Been playing LoR for a bit over a month and have farmed a good portion of the cards but I have to ask: Is there a chance they will nerf some of the mechanics that make this game toxic for newbies at some point?  I dont mind getting facerushed or burn-spelled to death, but when I consistently come up against 3-4 recall/stun, deep, unyielding spirit and Heimer decks in every category of play ( Even casual and the tail end of gauntlet) it makes me want to uninstall and go back to some other TCG...  Is there hope or should I just quit while I have fond memories?  Even the pillage mechanic everyone seems to hate isnt as bad as the previous stuff, at least you can counter it with a strong board.

Some Vets pls chime in. I want to like LoR but... I quit Hearthstone for the same reason, only 3-4 decks can compete and I don't own all the cards.

Freljord is supposedly so cold that its own people pride themselves on being able to survive in it. So why does Ashe walk around half naked? -_-

Since there are still more than 6 days till the next (official) card reveal, I'd suggest holding a card design competition to shorten the wait. Obviously, the theme would be from Scholomance- I'd suggest 2class-cards-, and in the end we could compare our own designs against the official releases.
