Man, I don't ever play wild nor even a lot of priest in standard, but that guide was so much fun to read! Thanks for the time and the dedication you invested there, I truely appreciate it.
Example for the current state of things: Select "Hunter decks" -> try to select an archetype via filter -> you get offered archetypes from all classes (probably just all the archetypes there currently are avaible).
Request: Would it be possible to narrow down the filter for archetypes to the class I chose? I actively selected "Hunter decks", so it feels awkward to scroll through a list of archetypes from all classes until I find for example Malygos Hunter waaaaay down the list. There are 153 archetypes as of now, 12 of them Hunter. A selection of 12 would be a lot easier to choose from than 153.
Aside from that: great job, thanks a lot for your dedication and work! I deleted hearthpwn from my bookmarks this morning ;-)
Congratulations, well done! I really feel you, just had the same experience last month with mech hunter :-) Such a great feeling!
What are your plans now? I have reduced my hs playtime a lot since reaching legend, playing only fun decks on ranks 5 and 4 (pogo rogue, jepetto hunter, face warrior). I also stopped playing casual because now I've reached my goal I no longer care if I lose in standard, so I can do the daily quests on ladder as well. If anything I'm looking forward to be thrown back to rank 10 or even higher because now I just want to enjoy myself and get some more golden heroes.
I second that. It's really hard to tell if a new post has been added to a thread if the only hint we get is the time passed since the last one.
(For claritys sake: I have actually seen sintis answer, but I'm hoping for more support for this request which might lead to a higher priority on the devs list)
Jepetto Hunter is really nice and was doing okay for me before the buffs. Haven’t played it much since but it’s definitely fun and the consistency of the combo is okay
Fooling around on rank 4 with a Face Warrior. Played a rogue, he skips turn one. I play coin into Redband Wasp and cross my fingers. The rogue heropowers... and goes face. Yes!! Turn two: Inner Rage into Rampage for a 9/5 wasp :) got to go face two times and finished him off with [Hearthstone Card (Kor'kron Elite) Not Found] and Mortal Strike on turn 5 :)
the thread is a relic from before rotation, the original post is early april. I suggest we just open a new one and let this one die in peace 😉
I like your ideas though. Do you think Oblivitron could be run in your list, or is it to slow? I really wanted to try the card but didn’t find the time as of now
I only had time for 5 games or so on rank 4 yesterday. Only lost one of them to a hunter with no board who top decked Zuljin (double unleash, double dire frenzy).
The deck is incredibly flexible and not even that vulnerable to Aggro because the lackeys carry your early game. And don’t forget that one big hopper plus Zilliax can easily swing a whole game for only 6 mana
First game was a win against a cyclone mage. Drew the bunny very late but boy if you manage to have a shark AND a carpet on board when you’re ready to go this becomes a monster! Early game was already pretty good with lackeys but this... could be quite broken if it can be pulled off consistently.
In summary, we’re all searching for ways to survive early and the optimal cycle/draw engine later. I’m all in for Magic Carpet, but there were a lot of useful suggestions like Serrated Tooth or Bronze Gatekeeper. What do you think about them
Thanks for your message! The deck was originally posted when Out Of Cards was running under the Hearthstation flag. Flux took the site offline shortly before rotation and came back with a new URL so the old link didn't work anymore.
The original list contained Boommaster Flark and my favorite combo was to play him on turn 7 and follow up with Necromechanic and Void Ripper on 8 (that's 16 face damage from the bombs!). To be honest though, "Boom Hunter" just had a better ring to my ears than "Bomb Hunter".
In the end this thread and the guide to the deck are a relic from pre-rotation, when it was already doing alright but never got popular because of the even/odd decks and KofT and K&C powerhouses. I only took the time to edit the list to the one which took me to legend for the very first time last season because I wanted to conserve it without spending a deck slot. I guess there should be enough guides for Mech Hunter out there, so that part of it largely stayed as I posted it pre-rotation.
What is a mong? Is it like Mongo from Blazing Saddles? If so, good one! If not, that’s not a good one. Overall a disappointing variety of insults. Better luck next time I guess
Short for Mongoloid-relating to the broad division of humankind including the indigenous peoples of East Asia, SE Asia, and the Arctic region of North America
It's supposed to refer to the person as a lesser being of small intelligence. (Like Mongo)
Fascinating historical context! Is it British culture that uses "mong" as an insult? I'm American, and I've never heard it. Probably because I'm a mong
It's used in America quite often. You are just around polite people. Google mongoloid and go to images to see what people are referring to. It's an older insult however and not used by younger generations.
I know this one in an even meaner context than you guys. Mongolism is also a synonym for the Down's Syndrom, so by calling someone a "mongo", one a) implies the insulted person suffers from this disease and its symptoms while b) showing disrespect for said people which is even more disgusting than just insulting some unknown person over a freakin card game.
Thanks again for your great ideas! I likeEVIL Cable Rat, that would be good for our early game. Serrated Tooth hasn't convinced me yet, but I might give that a try, too.
Pandas are too clunky in my opinion, I rely on [Hearthstone Card (shadow step) Not Found] and shuffle so many bunnies that I inevitably have to draw them. Arsene is right, it's quite an overkill but then I don't want to rot those legendary cards to dust (haha) in my collection. Augmented Elekk would even further push that feeling of overdoing it and I made the experience with bomb warrior that it oftentimes doesn't survive if you play it on curve.
Finally, where are your lists? I really appreciate your feedback, but I'm a complete rogue noob and I would love to see your takes on the archetype!

Maybe you meant this?

That was certainly fun :-)

Have you thought about quest hunter? I had a build with keleseth when it was standard, which was doing pretty fine.
I imagine there should be a good zoo lock deck for you, too. Warlock might be the best option because of the hero power

Which server are you on? I got the update for EU on Tuesday at around 7 pm CEST
So far I haven’t needed them, might cut one for a Bronze Gatekeeper. You only need them for Vanish and Myra’s, so two are probably too much.

(Sorry, I’m just hyped after the first game
Hey Kaladin! Nice to see you made it over here :)
I’m still waiting for the mobile patch to arrive, but you can find my ideas here:
We’ve also already had a little discussion over here: https://outof.cards/forums/hearthstone/game-modes/standard/350-post-buff-pogo-hopper-rogue

Really nice offer, might consider buying it... winning it would be the preferable solution, though ;)

Nice to see a different approach, though :) tell us how it worked out!
