  • Thank you. I've edited my quote as well, since that doesn't happen automatically when you change the original. I hope we're cool, I didn't want to offend you and asking for an edit seemed worth a try instead of straight out reporting the post.

  • Quote From YourPrivateNightmare

Paladin players need to be fucking *edited* like the *edited* they are.

If this shit class isn't gutted within the next patch I'll rope emote spam every single one of those wastes of oxygen until they uninstall.

I know this is the salt thread, but the first paragraph crossed the line imho. Please be so kind and edit or delete that.

  • Nice one, thanks for sharing! The Marsh Queen was my first golden legendary back in the days and I've played it quite a lot. I ran double Elven Archer instead of Emerald Skytalon and two copies of Toxmonger, but I guess that's too slow for today's wild. Just recrafted the quest to try out your list - great nostalgia!

  • Okay, after the first 5 games it looks like Bloodbloom is too slow at 4. The deck is good against APM Mage and bad against anything else.

  • Has someone played Darkest Hour Warlock recently? It took me to legend just a day before it got nerfed last year, but I'm curious if it might still be good. The big question is if the combo can be pulled of on 6 consistently. If so, this would be a nice counter to Priest and Mage.

  • Thanks for featuring my deck! I actually was only tinkering around with the deckbuilder because I was a little frustrated that there isn't a viable Big Demon Hunter list around yet. I'd be more than happy to adjust the deck if someone has an idea of how this might work out.

  • So he's basically asking me to play APM Mage if I want to get rid of it? That's so evil!

  • Maybe it's time to try out Wild, Kaladin. Decks are so optimized there that you will hopefully find one that is fun for you and has a positive winrate. It doesn't have to be tier 1 either, you just need to know it very well which is easy if you like it. I've piloted a Deathrattle Hunter list to Diamond 2 several months in a row, then Odd Rogue to D1 (with less than 200 ranked wins with Valeera), then Odd Paladin to legend. What I'm trying to say is that Wild has a less volatile meta and I'm starting to think that what you are looking for is a deck that you like and that is somewhat competitive. I asume you've been playing long enough to be able to afford to craft at least one viable deck, the most expensive highlander lists left alone for the moment. So what are you enjoying in Hearthstone? From your dislike of Face Hunter lists I gather it isn't aggro (which is a shame because you'd learn the true beauty of aggro in Wild, but I digress) and you want to use your brain piloting the deck. That means Token Druid, Big Priest, Odd Demon Hunter, Pirate Warrior and Reno lists are out. From personal experience I can recommend the aforementioned Deathrattle Hunter (such a joy to mess around with Albatross, Sylvanas and Tonks), Odd Rogue, Kingsbane Rogue, Handbuff Paladin and Even Mage. If you're interested in any of those I can provide decklists.

  • Aaaaaaw they've made a card for me <3

  • Oh and sorry Neoguli for capturing your thread!

  • Hmmmm. We could try. There are just a few things I'd like to point out beforehand:

    • I'd like to make sure that the staff is fine with this.
    • Whoever organizes the tournament gets to make the rules. In my case, that means I won't negotiate the time frame for example. If I say it's Saturday between 8 and 10pm CEST, that's the date and I won't debate whether we can start an hour later or something.
    • Validation will mostly be based on honesty. I imagine something like the winner notifying the organizer via Discord (maybe we can have our own channel?), the latter updates the tournament sheet on OOC. So the base assumption is that we're all honest people and don't need proof. Screenshots would only be needed if someone wanted to challenge the claim of someone else.
    • No prizes. We're playing for fun and internet fame only.

That would  sum up my most important conditions if I was to organize a tournament. Now let's see who'd be interested to participate! If you are, please post your server and the mode you'd like to play (Classic / Standard / Wild). If we get together more than 10 people by Sunday, the second of May, I'll start a seperate thread to work out the details with all the interested people. I'll start:

anchorm4n - EU, Standard and Wild.

[side note: Flux, we could use a poll function. Pretty please?]

  • That's correct :)

  • Nope.

  • Just let me carry your load

and I will turn it around

I may be ugly like a toad

But no better opener can be found

  • I'm not sure if this would work for me since I do play way more Wild than Standard, but I used to be one of those guys that dust every rotating card, so all I have right now are meta decks and cards.

Anyway, it is a bit surprising that nobody has come up with the idea to organize tournaments on this site so far. I mean there are basically no limits I guess. Let's say we have a Wild Blitz tournament, only restriction is everybody has to bring Nozdormu in every deck. Set a server, a date and a match schedule and there you go. Results and matchups could be displayed here on the site, people just share their Battlenet tags and prove their results with a screenshot. As long as we're talking 20 participants or less this should be easy enough.

  • I still don't really get it, but Aluneth?

  • Thanks once more KANSAS. Half the credit for the card goes to you by now :) I feel most comfortable with the 2/1/3 into a 3/3 right now, but I'll decide tomorrow. While we're at it, I'm also a little tempted to go full Angry Chicken with this version:

It needs some set-up, but Hunter certainly has the means to pull this off.

That's it from the Bear family, thanks for bearing with me :P

  • This is genius, KANSAS! Thank you so much!

I felt like this version deserved to be epic because 6/6 over two bodies is borderline broken for 2 Mana. What makes me think I can get away with this is that everything above 1 Attack kills the Cub and denies the Frenzy. Just pray your opponent doesn't start with the coin and an Augmerchant or Wound Prey. What do you think? Is it too strong? I could just let it Summon Misha as well, but I don't want to mess up the Momma Bear rescues her cub flavor. Would it be okay to leave the text on the Cub as it is and use Misha as the token?

In general, it's a cool idea, I really like the Unlock mechanic. The problem with your card is that the Frenzy effect will most of the time negate the Overload. Hard removal on turn 3/4 is rare, as are minions with 5+ attack. So in the end, you will most likely end up playing a 3 Mana 5/5 with no drawback and that's a bit too powerful for my taste. Regarding the art, I'd prefer the water elemental in a vacuum, but the air elemental is a better fit for Barrens.

Nice idea, I like it. It would be a cool support card for Quest Warrior in Wild, but other than that, I see no reason why this could not be a Neutral card. Just a thing to keep in mind in case you end up with art that isn't especially Warrior-like. I have something in mind that might fit, but couldn't find it yet. Big shield on a battlefield, arrows sticking out of it, you can't really see much of the character behind it. It has been used quite frequently in our competitions if I remember correctly.

Very solid card, I'd say this is a safe finalist. The one thing I'd like to see changed is the text: "this turn" should be placed at the end.

I really like how you thought out of the box. Out of your two cards, I prefer the spell. The name is worth a star for itself, the only thing that might be worth a brush over is the art which looks quite dark. I'm not a big fan of the Hero card because it lacks breathing room. The Hero Power can be used on all kinds of minions or even as removal but is clearly aiming at the enrage archetype. That would be okay, if a little boring. The Battlecry on the other hand is restricted to cards from Forged in the Barrens since I don't expect we'll see more Frenzy cards after the mini set. I can't remember a Hero card with such a harsh restriction so I wouldn't advice going with this Battlecry. Finally, I don't like the art very much although I do like the fact that you've used an existing and fitting character.

I don't really get the flavor, sorry. Why should a Wolf go Stealth if you hit it? I'd expect it to ferociously fight back.

Nice card. Nothing to criticize from my side.
