Lots of stats, Rush and a secondary body with Taunt. Seems really strong, but then you look at the cost and remember that in Standard we have so many good 8 drops that see no play whatsoever (Goliath, Sneed's Masterpiece) or just an ounce (Varian, King of Stormwind).
Unless Paladin gets some way to reduce its cost or cheat it out (Big Paladin back maybe), this card is probably a 2/5 stars, and I'm being generous.
Yes and no: being two cards that get released prior to the expansion they belong, they're bound to have generally viable effects (just like Flightmaster Dungar), so they should be on a rather similar power level.
Moreover, consider that we get to pick a free golden legendary, meaning that there's no way that we'll have to wait that long to get at least a regular version of the other one.
I wonder if you could "technically" get both cards for free. For eg: You choose the Horde Legendary, but then the Alliance wins, so you get the diamond version of the Alliance legendary.
I actually thought about this too, while writing the article.
I imagine that you may want to pick the "weakest" one so that you'll get the strongest one down the road, but that doesn't seem too smart of a choice, gameplay experience wise.
There's also the chance that you may pick a golden legendary now, and you'll get the regular copy of the other one at the beginning of the next expansion's Reward track (just like we received Mankrik and Lady Prestor).
Both points are more than fair and I actually agree with you on a very personal level.
Duels needs to be advertised more, and I mean it not in a "promote it" way. For example, Blizzard itself should add many basic info both in the game and on PlayHS, so that people (even veterans) can have a deep understanding on the mode.
Take the current collection manager and add a filter for the Duels card pool, all the treasures existent and the banned cards; moreover, give us the chance of BUILDING DECKS IN THE COLLECTION MANAGER, so that we can experiment with them without needing to start an actual run!
Before the release of United in Stormwind, Mage's only Fire spells were Wildfire, Combustion, Fireball (Core), Flamestrike (Core) and Grand Finale (way to expensive to see play in a Fire/spell deck).
Sure, unlike Shaman Mage has remarkable card generation, but you have to consider that it doesn't take many Frost spells to make the archetype viable: Doomhammer Shaman usually runs 4/6 Nature spells and we're more than fine with it.
My guess is that they'll release around 3 good Frost Shaman spells plus at least one more that will slightly diverse from the mid-game plan.
Finally, there's also the mini-set! Look back and see how much Kresh, Lord of Turtling helped Overlord Saurfang a few months ago: the latter passed from being an absolutely tier F card to a really good unit.
Support doesn't necessarily mean both cards are going to be played on the same turn.
So it appears that Tavish Stormpike support is finally coming this expansion.

Edit: nope.
I mean, last time I checked boobs had no bones, so...
That's not a good way to approach a new expansion, you know...
I'll blame this one on Sinti because he was in charge of the quality check. Definitely not may fault at all.
Lol

Triple Mankrik is nutty though.
Man that song was a banger.
This!
I can't wait to see what you'll come up with this time!
Time flies really fast: it was actually 4 years ago when Knights of the Frozen Throne was released.
There's also the mini-set!
Have a good one!

Out of these 5, only Fireball sees play in Questline Mage, and United in Stormwind printed Hot Streak, First Flame (and Second Flame), Ignite and Fire Sale, which means 4.
