Freeze Shaman had already been a huge meme, so if they decided to reintroduce it I highly doubt it will be as delusional as it was back in the day. Even Fel DH - levels of good may be a good start for an archetype that will come to life with the next expansion.
Secondly, yeah: Freeze is one of the worst (in the meaning of "hated") mechanics in the game, and an overabundance of Freeze effect can make you want to uninstall the game and throw the pc in a fountain. One thing to notice is that this card states "for each Frost spell" and not "for each minion frozen/you froze", so we may actually see some Frost spells that don't actually Freeze as their primary effect (Ice Barrier, Freezing Trap, Frozen Clone, Simulacrum, Ice Fishing).
Finally, I think you're not giving the card much justice, as you're comparing it to a card (Soulciologist Malicia) with a very similar effect, but with a totally different role!
Malicia (at least its Warlock half) is meant to be a "control" play to strangle your aggressive opponents and eventually stabilize the game. On the other hand, I see this leaked unit as a clear finisher, maybe in an Elemental Frost Shaman deck. Consider that, being an Elemental, it can gain advantage of the likes of Kindling Elemental and Granite Forgeborn.
3/4s that Freeze are slower than Malicia's Souls, but they are probably meant to be a game ending swing. Therefore, I advise you to think about this unit more as an Arbor Up on steroids which requires you to play Frost spells rather than having a pre-existent board.
On a final note, I wonder if Feral Spirit should've been a Frost spell to begin with - would it fit thematically?
While I agree with you on the Quest issue, I think we have to take in consideration that they're part of the last expansion, and therefore they're literally the shiniest toys you can play with. I am not saying that they'll disappear after the next exp, but rather that the increase of the card pool and the deckbuilding options available are very likely to dilute them a bit.
For the second point, I don't really have an opinion: while there are classes (Warrior, Paladin, possibly Shaman) that I prefer to others (Rogue, Priest, Druid), I always try to be able to have at least a playable character in the four that are offered to me. I am aware the you're not talking about playability and you just want to have fun with the new hero, but as long as 4 is the max number of classes we get to choose from, the chances won't be that high.
Greetings everyone, and welcome to the submission thread of third challenge of Master Duelist!
General Information
This challenge will begin today, November 11th, and will end on November 30th. During this window of time, you'll have to start a Duels run with a starting deck including at least 5 spells belonging to just one Spell School. School-less spells are allowed and Signature Treasures count towards the restriction.
Everyone who'll post proof of a 7+ wins run in this article's comment section will be awarded with a different amount of gold, an in-site currency you'll be able to earn from different activities and that will be used to purchase cosmetics in our in-site shop.
Submission Rules
In order for your run to count towards the challenge, you'll have to provide an appropriate proof of your feat; otherwise, your result won't count. To be precise, you will have to reply to this forum thread including:
a picture of how your run ended;
a picture of your starting deck;
a picture(s) of your final deck.
any other information you want: even though it's not necessary, it may help other players or generate a discussion!
you can submit as many runs as you want: we'll always pick the best one. Don't be afraid to show what you experimented with: let's start a discussion here!
Remember that we have to make sure you actually played following the rules, so please help us in doing so - disqualifying players feels bad, and we'd want to avoid it if possible! No exceptions will be made.
Challenge Rewards
Here's a quick breakdown explaining the rewards you'll receive based on your performances:

Time Criteria
Those which follow are the time criteria we'll use to determine the winner in case of identical scores:
An Heroic run will be considered more difficult than a Casual one, therefore Heroic players will have the priority.
If you get the best score overall with a 10-wins run in Casual and somebody else gets a 10-wins run in Heroic, the latter will be the winner of the challenge.
In case of more people getting the same score, the winner will be decided by the submission time.
If more players will get to 12 wins, losses will count as well: a 12-0 will be considered better than a 12-2 or a 12-1.
You could get the highest score on the first day as well as on the last day of the challenge, but if someone submits the same score before you do, then they'll be the winner.
Closing Information
If you want to learn more about this challenge, make sure to visit our guide page, where you'll be able to find a couple of starting decks provided by ourselves in order for you to take inspiration for your runs.
Big Diablo seems to have risen in power after undergoing some refinement. I've seen people running Sphere of Sapience in order to keep the big units in their deck, which seems to be the right call.
Duels Mind Tether Priest runs a lot of 'steal' cards, and dealing the finishing blow with them is rather easy, given the low health total in the first few matches!
Patches the Pirate belongs to Mean Streets of Gadgetzan, which right now isn't in the Duels rotation pool - that would be a sick inclusion, but you can only find it in buckets!
As for Shadowblade Slinger, it's strong and all, but I opted for a more aggressive approach: it mainly synergizes with Primal Power, but that Hero Power is slow and most of the times not enough impactful in the early game.
1 - I honestly don't have a personal opinion on this, so if possible I'd like to know more about what you think.
2- Yes, YES. I wanted to add a small paragraph at the end of the article named "what other changes we would've liked to see", but I felt like I already wrote a lot and so I just let it slide. But I absolutely agree with you.
3 - I think that inevitably would kill the Treasure.
The Secret package is definitely underused in this kind of deck.
However, I feel like the upcoming buff to [Hearthstone Card (Grommash’s Armguards) Not Found] will push it out of the meta, as you’ll always want to have Royal Greatsword as the only weapon of your deck
No need to thank me: you got a great result, and you deserve to be praised for it :)
Moreover, you can always reach out to me if you get other 12er you’d like to share with the community: other people do it, and they usually get featured in our meta reports!
*Laughs in spaghetti*
On a serious note, it's actually the exact translation of Battlecry, being "grido"="cry" and "battaglia"="battle".
Here are my (very) hot takes.

Freeze Shaman is back LET'S GOOOOOOO
Oh no: the draft phase is absolutely up to you - you can pick whatever you want!

May I see the list you're currently using? Seems like you came up with some original ideas!

Yes: I get it as a pick in the usual selection screen at the beginning of each run.
Cool! Any list you've had particular success with?
You may want to wait a couple hours for some ideas...
Yep: the new meta is looking really fun to explore!
Yeah: Legendary Loot is going to be soooo nutty from now on.
it is 28 damage that comes from 14 mana investment across two turns, which doesn't allow you to do anything else in the meantime.
If I were to find a compromise, I'd say to move it to the Ultra Rare pool, but making it target just minions does not seem the right call.

Well, I didn’t do it not because I didn’t know it or because I didn’t feel like doing go, but rather because I am a dummy and forgot about it.
Howeve, I will make sure to point it out in a later article!
