Now that Stitched Giant is one Rune instead of two, I find myself asking why it wasn't one Rune to begin with. It doesn't really feel that Unholy-y since all Runes are able to use Corpses. If it was one Rune down to none, I might be asking why it wasn't none in the first place. Half the time, the amount of Runes on any given DK card just feel random and arbitrary.
Mes'Adune is a card that will probably enable some really broken combo years (or maybe even months) from now. Until then though, I quite like this design. In fact, I just really like how creative Team 5 have gotten over the years.
My RCT1 playthrough is still present and I'm extremely close to finishing it, but it's taken a back seat because I've taken up playing Enderal again.
I am excited for Showdown in the Badlands. Might actually end up playing in this set this time. Once my PS5 gets set up in my new place again, I'm hoping to check out the update for GT7. I'm really excited to see the new snow track and the Master License.
Prismatic Beam would've been perfect as the first spell will all schools, amalgam style. All those colored beams could've loosely been tied to a school.
I had this thought when I first saw Azerite Giant, and looking at Skarr has further reinforced the thought that I've probably been misinterpreting this wrong the whole time. There's no way that they'd make both of these cards this bad, right? I thought playing an Elemental on 8 turns in a row would be worthy of a Mecha'thun/DK Uther/Priest Questline card, not a vanilla 0 mana 8/8.
My thought is that maybe "each turn in a row you've played an Elemental" counts your highest streak rather than your current streak. Played an Elemental on turns 3, 4, and 5, but had to miss 6? Well, Skarr on 7 will still deal 4 damage minimum for the rest of the game instead of just being reset entirely. Interpreting it this way from the wording is plausible, but it's definitely not obvious if it's true. But I don't really know how else to view it because the cards would just seem unfathomably atrocious if it worked exactly as it reads.
Gaslight Gatekeeper is a good modernization of Plot Twist with a good body for the Cost. Plot Twist might be preferable in a few, very fringe circumstances solely because of its lower Cost, but in general, this card is just unequivocally better, and it's really good that it's Neutral too.
Tram Mechanic is also the first non-Warlock/non-DH way for other classes to get a Fel spell, so that's a cool piece of trivia.
This card is to Excavate as Devoted Maniac is to Invoke. Except the stats on this card are nowhere near as shit as that one, so it won't feel bad to run this.
From the way it's phrased, it appears to count cards with either of the keywords rather than instances of those keywords on the cards.
Or in other words, it SHOULD only cost 1 less regardless of how many of those keywords the card has, but with how Hearthstone has some spaghetti coding at times, we may not know for sure at the moment.
This is an exciting set of cards because I like the way these are designed.
Flint is a fun use of Quickdraw support and Bounty Board is a really funky card (in a good way). Even if it isn't good, I just appreciate the way the Hearthstone team is trying to branch out their designs. Burrow Buster is to Excavate as Devoted Maniac is to Invoke, except the stats on this one are nowhere near as shit.
I do worry about Quickdraw's fate without anything like a Scry mechanic or any other method that naturally helps make Quickdraw easier to utilize, but it's very early in the reveal season so I can still hope that they will support it.
2024 everybody!!!
Oh wow, I've played Flash games exactly like this.
Aww....
Anchorm4n, can you help me make a snowball?
Oh no, don't hit me. I'm such an easy target.
*hides loaded snowball launcher*
Let the fun begin!
"Into oblivion"
That's a Bethesda pun if I've heard one.

What going down to one Rune is though is a giant buff to Climactic Necrotic Explosion.

Gotta make sure we keep this train up.

Fye's art feels a little bit weird. It looks like it would be on a 2 mana 3/2 minion.

It looks like someone on the Hearthstone team did not do their research when they named Maw and Paw.
The actual American Gothic painting doesn't depict a husband and wife. It's supposed to be a father and his daughter.
I really like quite a few of these cards.

Hehehe, that Quickdraw keyword looks pretty familiar.
My time has come!
