We don't have a filter for species, it is only for Tribes. Some other things are listed there that are internally relevant to Hearthstone at some point and we should probably hide them as to avoid confusion.
No plans to do a filter for ard text lines. I think this is a very niche need and a good chunk of the results would be inaccurate anyway without plenty of human intervention, making it too taxing to keep up with. I don't know about you, but I don't know anyone on our team that wants to go through over seven thousand cards to make sure they're correctly flagged with how many lines of text they have :D
I do appreciate your enthusiasm for the feature though. Let us know if you ever have any other ideas!
They've always stated "classic card pack" in the blog post which is why I feel like they made a mistake by not including the set name this time around.
I'm floored that Choose Your Champion has not be announced. This will be the most eyeballs on Hearthstone since its, ya know, BlizzCon and they'll be talking about a new set. Though, 5 packs for idling for 6 hours is a lot better than the 2 packs we were getting before.
They also didn't mention what type of packs you'd get in the random drops, so I'm assuming those too are Uldum packs, I just find it weird they didn't 100% clarify that. Definitely inferred by how they wrote the post, but part of me thinks it was an error and we're getting classic ones lol.
You're right, that's actually not at all helpful considering EVERYONE has access to these cards. I'm deploying out a change right now that will change the crafting cost calculation when decks get saved.
Any deck created after this moment that uses cards from the 'Wild Event' set will properly see those costs as 0. I'll still need to run a calculation on all the other decks on the site though with those cards to fix the crafting costs.
Edit: The process to update dust costs on all decks has begun. It'll take a while to go through but it should make finding cheap deck options much easier.
I do gotta say though, with the main stage stuff being free on day 1, if I wasn't actively covering BlizzCon, I'd probably rethink the ticket purchase since not all the panels are always worth watching. All the stuff that really matters is now going to be free, and for Hearthstone specifically a single panel outside of the expansion one is kinda meh.
Luckily for me though, I play almost all of the titles which makes all the cosmetics alone worth the price.
They've spent the past few years really diving into getting the League of Legends lore fleshed out!
With them working on lots of new games, its no real surprise they wanted to make sure everything in the realm would have a solid base to work from. You might be interested in checking out the Universe site where they have stories, biographies of characters, and a ton more. I should link this in the original post.
Not certain of the fate of our dear forums just yet. May allow categories to be collapsed as a preference on the forum listing. Homepage likely inherits the same settings as news, with off-topic and the relevant site forums also being included and not opt-out.
The achievements UI still needs some work - it was put on the backburner to prioritize other features.
Achievements that were limited-time and no longer obtainable will not display on profiles that have them incomplete after that gets fixed. Progression towards achievements with multiple criteria is also supposed to display.
More invites will be going out in the next phase as well, starting November 14. We're all about to be unable to access the game, RIP!
Do note though if you have access now, you will ALWAYS have access. Riot has no plans to remove access between phases, they're just taking the game itself down to get it ready for the next stage. Also worth pointing out that any real-money purchases made for coins, will be refunded when they do an account progression reset back into the original amount of coins you purchased.
I guess I should also add, I think it would be cool if we could find a good way to allow you to customize the navigation more and allow multiple games to show up. That would be something far down the road though if we did it since it adds a lot of complexity to how the nav works.
The front page filter will work a bit differently than the navigation. The intention behind the navigation is to allow the relevant nav show up based on what "section" of the site you're on. If you're on the forums though, it'll show you whatever the last game nav you were on. If you were to "unset" the nav choice, all you'd be able to see is the forums.
I do want to make an addition to the nav where we'll add some popular links to the Select Game dropdown so you don't have to go through multiple page loads to get to something like the card database or deckbuilder.
For the articles though, we'll give you a list of topics/games you want to see on the homepage, and you can turn them on and off as you wish. We will, however, still have the rare article go through when a very important event is happening in a game that you're not "subscribed" to, such as when a new game launches or a new expansion launches. That's so we can give everyone a reminder about cool stuff happening. The ability to have articles filtered will probably be a logged-in only feature due to the extra overhead it will require (even though it isn't that much!).
The news didn't drop until yesterday afternoon. None of the three spoke publicly about it.
Oh my god.

Ah, I misunderstood, sorry about that!

The real way to fix this is once we have collection data on the site so we can tell you what a "budget" deck for you could be.
Yeah, I'll get one out when the next site update hits with the deckbuilder.
Nothing else teased yet unfortunately.

Super hyped for their anime and I expect we'll try and cover it in some way if there is anything interesting / new that comes out of it.

Yup, deckbuilder is already in the works and with that comes the deck database!
Moving this to the site feedback forum since thats where it really belongs =)
Pft, Sona is the one true bae. Should be criminal for not including her yet!
Figuring out how the card crafting system works and feels is such a good experience to have IMO, so time well spent!
I hope you find some cards you like with them all being available so you can make some good crafts when the game launches.

No correlation at all. It was put in the footer as a comment towards Blizzard and I decided to remove it to regain the space.
