Thanks for the information! A customized homepage with game filtering is really good. I'd like to suggest that really big announcements are displayed on the homepage, even if they belong to games not selected by the user, for example announcing a new game.
Keep up the good job!
Agreed, some stuff definitely should still be visible to everyone. We'll be sure to have a way to flag articles so they always get included :
I've added a forum for Eternal. The game has been around long enough and so I'm willing to give it a shot. If the forum doesn't attract much traffic though, we may have to just have a thread in the general gaming section :P
Also, for anyone out there that wants to request a forum for another card game - I'll definitely consider the request, but I have to have a good enough feeling that it'll be used. If it isn't used, it just takes up extra space and it may be better served by a single mega-thread for the game. Starting a mega-thread for a game and seeing how it does on the site is a good way to showcase we should put up a forum for it.
I wanted to just keep everyone in the loop where we're at when it comes to support multiple card games on the site.
As you've probably seen, we've begun to cover Legends of Runeterra, a card game from Riot Games which uses the lore of League of Legends. Right now, it is not possible to avoid seeing these articles on the homepage. I know this may be an inconvenience for some of you that only play Hearthstone, but do know that this is temporary. I am working on a solution that will allow logged-in users to customize their homepage preferences and logged-out users to at least be able to hide articles from other games.
Legends of Runeterra appeared out of nowhere so we were a bit unprepared for this. We're still looking to add Magic Arena support to the site by the end of year, so don't worry magic fans, we're with you on that!
The Navigation will be receiving a large update that will allow for game selection. We'll likely let logged-in users select their default navigation. The homepage will also be receiving a change at some point that will become generalized to all the titles we support and not just Hearthstone specific. At this time, we'll add in dedicated landing pages for all the games we support that will showcase things like decks, events, and discussions. We'll also give logged-in users the ability to convert the site homepage to one that supports only one game if they would like to.
I know some may not be a fan of us supporting multiple games, but it has been a goal of ours since the beginning. Especially when you see how Hearthstone can do so many things wrong, should the game every die we'd hate to lose the community we've created. Only good things can come from having multiple games supported on the site!
We'll likely be looking for some new volunteers to help with Legends of Runeterra, so if you're interested in that stay tuned for more information and be sure to stay active on the forums and discord! Anyone who is active on the site, showing their knowledge and helping out others is more likely to join our awesome team. We're also eventually going to look for people who want to help cover Magic Arena before we start on that, so stay tuned there as well.
Riot already made an astonishingly good boardgame (not to mention the production quality), so I wouldn't be surprised if they can pull of a good digital card game.
Yeah, big fan of Mechs vs Minions! So glad I got into the first wave on it.
I believe the reason Riot took to so long to put another game out (I am calling TFT its own game) is because they don't want to half-ass stuff. Blizzard used to be that way too =(
I think there's a better chance that Riot succeeds with a card game since they actually have structured as a company.
Don't get me wrong, I love many of the things Valve has done, but its pretty clear the original people who worked on it and concepted it had no idea what they were doing.
I wouldn't be surprised if Riot secretly picked up talent from other card games, even Hearthstone. Guess we'll find out in 7.5 hours!
No way to upvote news posts, though it is something I was considering adding to the site since plenty of people who visit posts don't like to comment but may be more interesting in hitting a button :D
Comments currently are the best way to show your appreciation for the work that goes on in our news articles or saying you really liked the content being spotlit.
It is not possible for them to throw and event and have no one interested in it. We even see with BlizzCon, multiple people stated they fully intended on going still and casting the event or playing in it. When there's that much money on the line, not everyone is able to say no.
Shit, I'd compete in an event if there was room :P
I may not agree with everything Blizzard does, and oh boy I can't even begin to list all the reasons that are true, but I'd also love to keep this site online and that would be one hell of an opportunity.
I suspect we'll see some additional announcements from people. I half wouldn't be surprised at this point if one of the GM players pulls out just to really light up the fire under Blizzard.
I can't imagine we go much longer without some kind of statement from Blizzard. I'd hate to be in their PR department right now.

I expect you'll get some threads started? :D

We've got support on the site for Runeterra card BBCode! Whether you want to link to a card or link the card's image, both are available.
Garen
You may also change the size of card images through the size attribute. (Max of 400 pixels)
If you want a non-collectible card specifically, in the case two cards share a name, you can use the token option with either runecard or runecardimg.
The Logic Behind It
Here's how it works without any modifying options.
Legends of Runeterra has 6 different regions that you can use to build decks with. You may build a deck with one region of cards or two.
Here are each of their playstyles from what I've seen so far.
Shadow Isles
Lots of death and resurrection!
Ionia
Control. The mechanic "Recall" forces units back to your opponent's hand.
Piltover & Zaun
Tons of spells!
Demacia
Large armies with buff mechanics. Just hanging out with your friends.
Noxus
Aggro. Enjoy cards that can't be blocked and only serve to go face.
Freljord
Freezing. Plenty of control through Frostbite which sets the power (attack) of a unit to 0.

Please use this forum to discuss everything about the game. Keep things civil and feel free to also join us over on Discord!
Our card database for Legends of Runeterra is now live!

Here's what I found for changes:
May also have some bug fixes for other stuff that I couldn't find easily.
It is not possible for them to throw and event and have no one interested in it. We even see with BlizzCon, multiple people stated they fully intended on going still and casting the event or playing in it. When there's that much money on the line, not everyone is able to say no.

I'm at least happy to see Blizzard hasn't banned
SPAM🏓THIS🏓PONG🏓TO🏓FREE🏓HONG🏓KONG
He has been eating his honey for a couple of days now ^^
It is more so that people shouldn't be personally attacking him, though I see where that can be confused and I'll make an adjustment.
Everyone is more than welcome to state your own view on things, I think he made a poor statement overall, just no personal attacks.
Fixed! Definitely had N'Zoth, that absolute powerhouse.
Fixed! Not sure why that didn't save correctly.
I had briefly considered it, but not sure if copyright holders would be excited about that :P
The other consideration was to dress up Derpcorn as Pooh, but that would have taken more time than available.
I suspect we'll see some additional announcements from people. I half wouldn't be surprised at this point if one of the GM players pulls out just to really light up the fire under Blizzard.
