Is it correct I can currently (on mobile) only switch to one or the other, but not switch back to see both again (except by changing the url manually?)
You can get back to the homepage by tapping on the Out of Cards logo at the top of the page. There you should have access to content from all games.
An account reset will reset wild cards and the cards crafted with them, so yeah, make use of them now to test the game fully! Find cards you really like early on so you can focus on getting those when the game actually comes out.
I've rolled out some initial support for "game switching".
The navigation (and header image) will now switch based on what section of the site you are on. You'll initially need to "select a game" on the navigation to populate it, but after that you'll see header content that you want, with the ability to still switch to other games.
I'm hoping to get an update out this weekend to get the Hearthstone and Runeterra section pages better than simply displaying news. I may also change the homepage up to use the "game switch preference" to decide whether or not it should load the Hearthstone-specific widgets.
Are there any errors in your browser's console (Option + Command + i, then select web inspector and reload the page) after trying to click on the leave comment button? Do the reply and quote buttons bring up an editor?
Yeah, Blizzard has nothing when it comes to community support. That was one of my favourite things as a many-years League of Legends player and someone who also dabbled in the content side of League. They were so active it was tough to keep up with at times!
We'll do our best to highlight the important stuff they're talking about online, though it may take some time to get everyone properly tracked :D
I'll add, our goal is to grow the site to be as large as possible so we can have a vibrant community. Supporting multiple games helps us achieve that and more importantly, there is definitely room for splash over. If we gain a lot of extra traffic because of Runeterra, the Hearthstone side of things will grow as well
The game is currently in a 5-day "Patch Preview". It will then go offline for a month and return with another short preview period before going down again until the start of 2020.
Hearthstone very rarely has actual news and its been that way for a very frustrating 6 years. If it wasn't for the Blitzchung drama recently, it would have been a couple of weeks of silence and us just continuing to push out interesting articles on different types of decks people can play to enjoy the game.
I'm also not sure what you're talking about as far as missing content goes. There were a couple of mediocre things missed a few weeks back due to a lot of stuff going on and me being out sick for a whole week, which is a speck of dust when you compare it to us actually covering everything else.
The end goal for this site was to never only cover one game though, and I thought we were quite clear when we gave it a generic name, moving away from Hearthstation, and talking about it multiple times in the news and on the forums. There are plans to allow people to only see stuff for one game if that is all they care about, Riot just caught us offguard with the game announcement and we've had to react quickly to it.
Anyone relying on creating a top-tier website that is only going to talk about Hearthstone, I don't trust Blizzard enough to put anyone's livelihood on that, as further proven by the recent Blitzchung controversy. I love Blizzard, always will, and I think they've done a very good job for Hearthstone this whole year with so many extra content updates and communication, but that doesn't fix the overall track record for the game and the game continues to decline in players which makes it even scarier to invest in it long-term.
That's not to say we're not still playing and loving the game and that we're going to stop creating content for it, because that is still our primary drive, Runeterra is just new and there's a LOT to talk about. We've probably got another 2 weeks of silence from Hearthstone and then things will really pick-up when BlizzCon hits. A new expansion announcement and then a card reveal period shortly after with the release in December makes for a super interesting month+.
I will say though, the community here is infinitely better than what HearthPwn currently has, even if we have slightly less activity. I've seen real discussions take place here where you really can't say the same about HearthPwn. Not entirely sure what you mean by decks either, we have a much higher % of quality deck guides being written on the site compared to the amount of duplicate, empty stuff HP has. You're more than welcome to your own opinion on that though and I wish you the best in your internet travels! Feel free to come back anytime and engage with us in discussion on Hearthstone.
I actually had sent you a PM before seeing that you made a thread on the forums about the problem.
The issue is that the site thought you were spamming! By reposting the same thread over and over afterward, it made the spam filter even more negative towards the content. It's okay though, we're able to recover stuff that is incorrectly flagged by the system.
In the future, you or anyone else that encounters an error, please let staff know and we can rescue it or at least tell you what's going on before trying to create more threads. Right now everyone is forced to have their posts go through the spam filter so we can help train it better, but as we build up internal reputation scores for everyone, and the spam filter gets better overall, the chance of active, legitimate users having their content caught in it greatly diminishes.
My problem with this game is that there are only so many champions in League, and only so many regions. Unlike Hearthstone which is based on WoW, a massive expanse with vast territories to explore and delve into, LoR is limited to the base game itself. They can only add so many champions to LoR, before they have to start making new ones completely from scratch, which at that point would split it from it's roots in League (which may be a good or bad thing). I feel like LoR will be a strong competitor for Hearthstone (highly doubt it would be the new CCG king, given all the previous supposed Hearthstone "killers"), but unless they come up with a way to compete with Hearthstone's expansion system, the game will become stagnangt.
I actually think that this is the perfect opportunity for Riot to introduce new champions into the official lore without needing them to be represented in League of Legends. It is not really much of a secret that Riot has been working on an MMO, which needs a ton of rich lore, so by using that story and those characters in the card game, they can teach people more about the world and then when it comes time to explore that world like one does with the Warcraft universe and World of Warcraft, it will be that much more familiar to players and honestly, great for building bonds.
It would also make their introduction into League of Legends in the future that much more exciting. Riot has some really special stuff in their hands and I'm really excited to see how they build out this world.
If I made a section, would y'all populate it with some initial information to help others out with the game? sto65 has done a great job so far with the Eternal forum over the past day, as a good example.
Yeah, it blows my mind about how good and appealing Hearthstone's card frames are.
I don't hate the Runeterra ones, I've certainly seen worse, but I have not found a single digital card game that has good looking card frames when compared to the likes of Hearthstone or physical games like Magic and Pokemon.
The Runeterra ones fit the LoL universe though which is maybe why I don't hate them. Playing LoL for as many years as I did, one gets accustomed to certain designs.
I think a lot of why the Hearthstone frames are so good is because they are kinda flat, not super flashy and metallic (though they do have some metal bits ofc). You can actually believe they could be paper cards. The readability of their card text is also very good, I do find the Runeterra ones to be a bit on the small side.
Can I just ask how you guys already have a complete database of a game thats only been public knowledge for around 8 hours? Thanks for the coverage and congrats on your insane work ethic.
Riot made data available in zip files. If they hadn't though, we'd just have datamined the game - a handful of us have access :

Unless I misunderstood your question.

Attempting to respond on my MBP with Safari 13.
Do you by chance have JavaScript blocked or some cookies disabled in Safari?
You can obtain random cards through quests and The Vault!
Sorry to hear that!
Is there a chance you're using a browser that hasn't been updated in a while? What model of phone and type of browser are you using?

I don't say this often, but, you're a fool.
You received a response from Frosty on your question about LoR.

Why do you think that? Constructive comments are incredibly more useful to the community!

Moved to the correct forum.

I wouldn't even be opposed to getting some sectional forum mods going if we wanted to really get those sections talkative =)
Edit: I made a forum for it. I trust we'll put it to good use :D

Great addition! It really makes for easy clearing of the quest log and those beautiful rewards.
