  • I would really like to see Wild discounts, adventures included. I know I must sound like a broken record at this point since I've been saying it for like 4 years, but damn it Blizzard, make the mode more accessible.

  • Holy. Shit.

  • As someone who didn't play a whole lot of constructed during Saviors of Uldum, in part to not being very excited about it when it dropped, this expansion is lookin' FIRE! The new Dragon AOE option from Warlock is appreciated Crazed Netherwing, though I am sad that menagerie isn't much of a thing right now in Standard because that would be a ton of fun to play. Veranus is without a doubt a must-craft card though for me, maybe even golden.

I also really appreciate the flavor mechs revealed today. I wonder if we'll see some more which can round out the available mech package even more. I REALLY WANT TO TURN ONE A Hot Air Balloon!

I use the site 95% on PC, so the ads, the way they are displayed nowadays, are not a problem for me. Of course if they are a problem for mobile users, that has to be fixed.

BTW I don't think anybody thinks Hearthp## is better than OOC, probably the sentence meant thay some people are experiencing worse problems with ads in mobile when visiting OOC than visiting Hearthp##, and that should be easy to fix.

Which also can't be the case in any way. HearthPwn had some of the worst ads I've ever experienced online. It was soul-crushing to not being able to do anything about it =(

    Thanks everyone!

  • One thing worth mentioning about this:

Class cards are allowed to have higher stats than Neutrals for the same cost.

    This is worse than Hearthpwn

This is a very helpful comment.

Also, there is zero chance that is even possible. I feel beyond insulted that someone would say that sentence on this website. I don't think people really grasp how shit HearthPwn has always been.

You know what though, if you like it so much, you're more than welcome to spent time on their site instead of here. Enjoy the constant malware, at least twice as long load times, and a bunch of people that clearly don't know what they are doing.

Yup, i also wanted to point out mobile perspective (which is my only HS-related perspective).

Sometimes full-screen ads appear when clicking on a link (requires to click on the X to continue browsing, not a scam, but still an intermediate ad page).

And just recently the top ad in every page started to occupy about half height (requiring the user to scroll down much further to reach content).

As i said, i do understand the need of ads, not complaining here, but please do consider the limitations of mobile browsing, if possible ofc.

    Thanks for the feedback, Raven

  • I love them since they'll hit the Amalgams :D

Dragons are going to be rad though. I wonder which ones they'll be adding and if we'll get a custom dragon. Would be cool if they added a new Deathwing - his current iterations don't exactly work for Battlegrounds.

  • You can't redeem it twice. If you were to win, you can give it to a friend or you can always try to ticket support saying you'd like a refund because you won a giveaway on a community site. I know it has worked for some people to ask for refunds in the past, but I know they won't always do it since Hearthstone content typically is non-refundable.

  • If I get to do what I want to with the compendium, it should be really awesome.

  • I've never had a big issue with it. Here's how I've always seen it:

    • News Discussion - The lowest barrier of entry, usually the lowest quality of discussion. News posts drop down quickly during reveal seasons and people don't typically page through news posts, so its not likely to get much attention after the initial bit of time.
    • Card Discussion - Fairly hidden considering card pages themselves don't get a lot of traffic which means you have a lower chance of having a discussion at all. Even if we linked to the card pages as the place to discuss them, I don't think it's very approachable because most are likely to have the mindset "it doesn't matter".
    • Forum Discussion - A proper place to converse about a topic. As new discussion takes place, threads get bumped and more people have a chance to talk about that card. The best place for it.

I'd consider the forums to be the best place to discuss cards as it has the best format for a discussion. This is why we're promoting it with the buttons and why we're even making it a part of a giveaway.

As Sinti already covered, the votes, no matter where you see them (news, forums, card pages, expansion guide), are all linked back to the same card. We just give you some additional options on the card pages themselves if you want to rank any card for the different game modes. Having the "overall" rating in multiple places helps us get people to rank the cards.

Yep, noticed it too. The one in Chrome on mobile is a bit pain. Time to support on Patreon I guess:)

    Thanks for the support

  • You should have some time before the giveaway expires after the cards have all been revealed. I don't know exactly how much though ^^. For what its worth, you can vote on cards and change your votes whenever you please, so if you're afraid you may not get to them all, you can always vote as they come out and change your mind on how you ranked them when the whole set is revealed. May even be interesting for yourself to see how you initially ranked a card vs after seeing the whole set.

Btw, I think its super awesome and I appreciate everyone that takes the time to put in their best ratings - it can definitely help with the overall results!

  • T-T-T-T-Token!

  • While I agree ads suck, and I wanted to see how long we could go without them, at the end of the day, we did not receive the financial support from the community that is required to even pay for just the server bills. People gotta eat, we gotta keep the servers on, and so ads are now a thing.

    • Around 6 weeks ago, the first ads on the site were enabled. They were only visible to logged-out users.
    • Today, logged in users who are not a "supporter" of the site will also see ads, though a reduction of them compared to logged out users.
    • Site supporters will never see ads.

If you want to remove ads, you can support the site with a monthly contribution via Patreon. After contributing, you can link your OOC account to your Patreon account via account connect in account management and within 10 minutes you should be recognized as a site supporter.

If you can figure out a way we can support the site and the content creators on it without ads, I'm all ears. So far though, only 41 people are supporting us on Patreon despite hundreds of thousands of visitors each month.

With all that said though, the goal is to keep the ads as sane as possible. We already have a large amount of stuff blocked that could be making us more money, but I'm not okay with people get scammed. Our page load speeds still remain several times faster than HearthPwn too, so ads haven't had a huge negative effect on that.

And if you really want to, feel free to install an adblocker. If you do go this route, we'd love it if you would participate in the community as a way of giving back to it and if you see good deck guides, show authors support by giving them upvotes!

  • That is the goal!

  • I'll be writing a script near the end of card reveal period to figure everything out :D

I like the nameVoterBot XL 9000 Extreme. Imma steal that.

  • ALL cards from the expansion.

  • Doesn't matter when you vote, just do it before the giveaway ends. You can also change your votes whenever you want =)

Only comments posted in the card discussion threads (not card pages) count as entries. Though I do encourage you to use the card pages too!

  • Yup!
