That issue I was having with items on the navbar wrapping to two lines is back again since you added the bell. I suppose if you don't want to just increase the width, you could chop long usernames, and replace the end with an ellipsis.
Damn, you're one character too long. Guess we'll have to rename you.
I'll find a fix for it, I'm sorry for not checking with your name exactly. It'll all be so much better once we get the site name out of the nav, giving us some extra space.
Was not intentional that they got sorted by new first - direct messages should be oldest->newest like forums.
One thing though that is different about direct messages compared to other types of content is that we'll always display the original post at the top of pages of replies, as a reminder to the subject of the message, so that part won't change - at least not yet.
Will have a deploy out before next reveal to fix that issue (ETA <15mins).
Edit: I lied, we're gonna deploy AFTER the card reveal.
Developer Note: Sorry this took so long! Next comment update will let you choose how you want to sort them. No ETA.
Notifications can now be accessed via the navigation.
Developer Note: This is an initial implementation for notifications. We don't currently let you choose stuff you can subscribe to, that's a future thing.
You'll get notifications when someone responds to something you've created. Deck authors, expect a notification for every deck comment!
People replying or quoting you will trigger a notification.
You'll also get notifications for achievements earned. Don't worry about these for right now =)
We'll eventually let you see the latest 3-5 notifications via a dropdown on any page, for easy access.
Changes
Expansion pages now display 2 cards per line for most mobile devices. Save those fingers!
Bug Fixes
Fixed an issue where the navigation would fail to load correctly on some pages.
Fixed an issue where comments were causing issues loading some pages due to a bad deploy.
Fixed an issue preventing comment jumping from going to the correct comment.
Notifications are almost there. We've got a few things to tweak with them and we'll let you have access to them. Achievements are backlogged a bit further -- card reveals have been disturbing development zen.
We did just discover an issue with javascript breaking on certain pages due to comment quotes and a fix for that will be arriving soon. That may have been the culprit for votes as well though I do know voting sometimes gets funky after you've replied to or quoted a post - a proper fix requiring a bit of a js rewrite for our voting stuff.
If you do encounter any issues with voting, or any interactivity. Make note of the page it failed to work on and check your developer console (F12) to see if there are any errors. Try refreshing the page and seeing if the error still occurs. Let us know how things go after that, making note of any specific errors greatly helping us track down issues.
Simply put, we don't have elements of the site designed with the "official" images in mind without resizing them - an extra step in the process, plus, we're just going to generate them all via the client anyway when the patch drops so as long as our placeholder images are "great enough", we're happy. Though I do know we're missing set icons on our currently generated cards, it is being looked into so we're fixed for the new set.
Knowing their plans with the card gallery though, it's likely we switch over to it for the next reveal period and I've already made some progression with it during the late night card reveals where you get 50 minutes between cards to work on stuff. With that said, they're not always on time with updating it though so Hearthcards is always going to be the go to until we have our own manual card rendering system in place.
This is an awesome idea. I give it a 5/7 , absolute perfect score.
Thanks, so I don't know if this is the place to ask, or if you have a road map of what's coming to the site, are the design competitions coming back?
And with that question, could it be possible to implement a custom card bank onto the site, and along with that, do a card of the hour (because there'd be an abundance of cards) similar to Hearthcards.net? Just curious.
We don't have a roadmap, yet. What I can tel l you though is card design competitions are going to come back better than we ever did them before. We will allow users to store their custom cards on the site and even eventually let people tag them with custom sets and such so it is easy to present them to other people. That will tie in to card design competitions and probably also expansion design competitions when we figure out exactly where we want to go with those. The biggest goal though for fan creations stuff is to make it as fair as possible. I was hoping we'd have something out for it already but unfortunately there's a ton of stuff to do still. It's close though, some initial work has been done =)
But yeah, card of the day is something that we'll get done, likely sometime before the next adventure comes out since we have most of the cogs in place to make it happen now.
My assumption is they don't like the direction Activision forced the company. We'll have a better idea of whether or not that is accurate if Mike Morhaime (or Frank Pearce) starts a new studio in the next few years or joins other ex-Blizzard folks elsewhere.
Alright, there's been a lot of slacking when it comes to site changelogs. I don't have a great excuse, they just take a lot of time to make. Here's everything worth mentioning since the last changelog appeared on July 2.
New Features
New Navigation!
Completely revamped to work on mobile and desktop just as good! No more weird issues.
More content is available on the navigation while remaining even more accessible.
Your feedback will help shape the direction the navigation continues to go.
Card Voting
Mobile users can now vote on cards via card pages!
We now display the scores for card voting.
Card Reveal Countdowns
Accessible on the front page and for mobile users, a first for Hearthstone community sites.
You can view all the Uldum countdowns on a dedicated page.
You can now click on a link in the last post column of forum threads to quickly jump to the post.
Direct Messages
You can now send messages to other members on the site.
Access your inbox through the navigation menu where your name is, or click here!
If you have an unread private message, a green icon will appear on the navigation bar beside your name.
Developer Note: Still investigating a better way to display unread PM counts for mobile users. Stay tuned, friends.
Deckbuilder
Added a dust cost calculation above the card list so you know how wallet-heavy your deck is.
Changes
Card pages will now always output decks featuring those cards, even if no decks have been recently created with them.
Forums work better on mobile devices.
Buttons on the site have been given COLOR. Less grey, more happy faces.
Saviors of Uldum now has its proper expansion icon.
Site header has been updated for Saviors of Uldum.
Your signature, if it exists, will now appear on your edited forum posts. This was a simple display error, it was fixed if your refreshed the page, this now no longer requires a refresh.
Moved forum threads can now figure out where they moved to and old links will properly redirect.
Bug Fixes
Fixed multiple issues with the "hotness" of decks being incorrectly calculated for older decks.
Supporter avatar borders now appear correctly on mobile.
Fixed an issue preventing us from properly flagging supporter accounts for those that support the site via Twitch.
Card count in deck on deckbuilder now works correctly for logged out users.
Flavor Text headers will no longer display on card pages if the card doesn't have flavor text. (Usually tokens, newly revealed cards)
"Undefined" cards in the deckbuilder will no longer be added to your deck should you click on an empty space.
Upcoming
Achievements are almost here. They're running well in the background right now but we're still finishing up the UI for them and adding more to the site. The plan is to launch achievements with over 250 of them so I hope you're ready! Ideally we can finish this before the end of this week, I'm thinking it is more likely to happen this weekend though or on Monday. We've gone through a few iterations of them internally and are quite happy with what we've achieved.
Notifications are also almost here. These will launch alongside achievements and are currently also working in the background pretty well. We will not be supporting a ton of different types of notifications to start with, but we'll be able to add them in. Currently, you cannot subscribe to threads, decks, and users, all things we want to create down the road to add to the quality of the notifications system. Your feedback once they launch to let us know what kind of notifications you would like to see will help us shape them.
I think "Pack Giveaway" is making the header take up too much vertical space. Also, I can't see a way to navigate to guides for past expansions. Maybe "Expansions" should link to a full list?
Well, that one is on me.
I'll make sure Expansions itself links to the page and we'll get an extra element in the more column for it.
Keywords over expansions also sounds like something fun to automate.

As someone who loves mage..
YAAAAAASSSS
Comments now sort by new! We'll provide options in the future to change sorting.

Yeah it was pretty unfortunate. But hey, I'm here to wait for cards for you guys so you don't have to. =)

Yup, definitely gonna need to try out some Wild fun when this expansion launches.

Salty AF.
Card reveal for 2 AM didn't get revealed and now it's almost 2:30 AM. =/

No plans on removing it. Making it different was the goal, it attracts attention to it.
San Diego Comic-Con
No stream unfortunately. We'll have em up as soon as possible though we don't have anyone on the floor from the staff.
It has been added. Can't believe we missed that, thank you!
