I've opened an issue for this so we can get it implemented. Oversight on my part when we added golden support for card image embeds =)

I understand some convenience by having both under one, but I don't want to use another site as an example of how to do it "right". Although it would feel familiar, there are serious downsides to consider when putting them together.

The big one for me is I want the guide editing experience to be unhampered by a deckbuilding having to load all the cards and data. The deckbuilder on Out of Cards, although blazing fast when you compare it to the fossil that is HearthPwn, is still extra overhead for someone that just wants to edit their description. The amount of time I have personally wasted on editing small description changes over the years could have written so many more articles or deck guides on the site! I received a lot of feedback over the years that also disliked how slow it was for simple edits.

Another downside is I'd like to do a lot of really cool custom stuff to help people build better deck guides, and putting all that on the deckbuilder page, even if you had some kind of tabbed view (not a huge fan of tabbed views FWIW), may be too much. It also means people expect to have that information on the regular deckbuilder page and that isn't the goal I originally had for the system. The original goal for the deckbuilder was to make it really easy to save decks to the site. Add your cards, give it a name, make sure the archetype and deck type are correct and hit save. Most people don't write guides and use the site to store their decks meaning having to go through a guide editor only to ignore it would be counter productive.

I do see why you'd want to be able to edit both though. If you are changing cards around, there's a decent chance you want to talk about it. Perhaps a better solution would when you are editing a deck's cards, you'd be able to click "save cards" or "save cards and edit guide", the latter saving your cards and bringing you over to the guide page meaning there's one less button to click overall.

Looks like I never responded here, but yeah, it exists now and has for a while!

Or if you want only Hearthstone
    https://outof.cards/hearthstone.rss

I actually really like the RSS Subscription Extension by Google (for Chrome) since it'll let you know when you're on a page that has an RSS feed embedded in it. Great way to discover which sites are still cool.

Microsoft unveiled a new type of Gamepass plan at this year's E3 which includes Xbox Live Gold and Xbox Game Pass all-in-one. The name of the new subscription is Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and you can currently buy a month from Microsoft for $1 which will also convert your active subscription of Live and Game Pass over to Ultimate.

Now, how do you get this cheaper? Your Ultimate plan converts Live and Game Pass days to Ultimate days. For example:

    • You currently have 6 months remaining of Xbox Live.
    • You purchase the $1 of Game Pass Ultimate. It upgrades your live into ultimate.
    • You now have 7 months of Ultimate (1 + 6 you originally had)

    This can be abused!

If before converting your account into an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate account you add a bunch of extra Xbox live time, that will convert 1:1 into ultimate access. Currently, a 12 month card for Live is $60 USD. A year of Game Pass Ultimate is around $180. That is a savings of $120 a year! Microsoft allows you to convert up to 3 years of active subscription time into Ultimate time which means if you buy 3 12 month cards, you save $360 on game pass ultimate and will have it until this time in 2022.

So, here's the links you need.

    • Buy Game Pass Ultimate for $1 (The last step, after adding your live / game pass time cards)
    • Buy Xbox Live 12 Months (Amazon Affiliate Link - purchases made with the link support Out of Cards)
      • Amazon appears to be out of stock as of writing for digital codes.
      • Do note this promotion expires either on June 30 or July 4 so unless you can get physical codes mailed to you before June 30 to play it safe, don't buy through Amazon.
    • Buy Xbox Live 3/6/12 Months (Microsoft)

I'm kinda happy I've got it for the next 2 years, though 3 would have been awesome.

I am unable to replicate this issue.

Yeah, we've got an issue with some comments and are working on figuring out our best approach for a fix. Sorry for the trouble.

I'm going to be locking this thread since it is a duplicate.

Yeah, they haven't given us an exact time yet but it is coming before the next expansion. I suspect in a couple of weeks so we have a month to play with a fresh meta of new cards.

Damn Blizzard, you been doing GOOD this year.

We don't need threads like this here, especially in the Hearthstone General forum.

Locked, and the other dude who created an account to cause problems has been banned.

The posts profile link was not supposed to be deployed since it doesn't do anything. But yeah, it eventually will!

It has been a busy week at Out of Cards!

    New Features

    • Tavern Brawl Decks (As of Wednesday)
      • You can now associate a deck with a Tavern Brawl.
      • Looking for something to play this week? Check out the brawl page.
      • Tavern Brawl decks replace the front page Pro Decks listing when a constructed brawl is active.
    • Wild Deck Icon
      • Wild decks on the deck listing page now have a special icon before the deck name to indicate wild status.
    • Deck Search Listing
      • Added a new "contains" filter.
        • Dev Note: Implementation may not be perfect yet. I wanted to get the functionality out there quicker and get feedback on it.

    Changes

    • Member profiles now have a header with their avatar and side navigation. Early work to make member pages better!
    • Tavern Brawl widget on the homepage now lights up when a brawl is active.
    • Tavern Brawl pages now have pretty header images.
    • Tavern Brawl Listing now displays the most recent brawls first.
    • Forum thread prefixes are now less ugly, some even have color!
    • Breadcrumbs are less derp on mobile. They now act as a "back" button.
    • The line separating forum posts and member signatures has been increased in size but decreased in intensity for better separation.

    Bug Fixes

    • Fixed an issue where supporters were not correctly getting their titles.
    • Front page decks with long names no longer make their containers go super size.
    • Wild and Standard brawl decks no longer display in the Wild and Standard front page deck listings.
    • Several improvements to the forum and comment styling to prevent "broken" appearances.
    • The last post column is now styled.
    • Classes on the site will no longer display out of order. Order is now alphabetical. Looking at you, Mages.
    • Decks on brawl detail pages are now correctly capped at 6.

We are indeed missing links to the guides! If I remember correctly we actually have all the support in for it, they just don't get displayed on the card pages because we haven't uploaded an image for them to use as the link. I'll make sure I get this done, and make sure it properly works.

As far as linking cards together to show related cards, this is 100% on the to do list and in fact, Chimera has let me know several times I need to get working on the support for it.

I can't give you guys an ETA for either of the requests, but I'll make sure we have them noted down.

    Hey, you're right. Oops.

We generate all the images through the Hearthstone client, so we just need to figure out how to get the watermarks to display when they images get created. I'm not certain the exact level of work that would take, but we'll figure it out!

Forums and sections of the site will be expanded upon as the demand appears. For example, I see no value in creating a subforum for another card game that is going to have a few threads in it for a long period of time. It takes up space and ultimately may be a flop for our community. As soon as a game gains some traction on here though, they will definitely get a dedicated forum section. As that grows and we need more space for the game, we'll open up additional subforums for targeted topic discussion much like we have right now for Hearthstone.

With what I've said, it would appear that Magic doesn't deserve its own forum here due to the low amount of interaction on it. However, we know we're jumping into Magic after Hearthstone since we love it so much and know there's a nice crossover between HS and MTG Arena players.

So yeah, we're going to focus on Hearthstone for now and keep and eye on everything else.

    Fixed!

Sorry about that guys, the script to refresh out auth to Twitch wasn't running so we couldn't get the list of subscribers. Rookie mistake!
