Hm. This does not sound that great honestly. You're spending mana now to get an effect later, an effect that your opponent can see coming and can play around. Sure, this turn 2 against an aggressive deck likely prevents them from playing anything the next turn. But what if it's not turn 2? What if you're up shit's creek without a paddle turn 5-6 and you topdeck this? "Cool, guess I'll have to wait a turn to clear this onslaught". It's horrifically bad for you later in the game because at that point not only will you be taking collossal amounts of damage before it goes off, but you'll likely not prevent your opponent from playing minions cause most of them will be big enough to survive this. This also can't benefit from spell damage at all, so no Thalnos or Moarg Artificers to boost the 3 damage to something more useful later on. And lest we forget, this blows up your own board too if you had any. So it's not like your opponent is going to use their soon-to-be-dead minions to trade. And finally, DH is not really hurting for AoE. If you gave this to Druid they'd be overjoyed to have SOMETHING at least. But between Immolation Aura, Chaos Nova and Blade Dance, they're not desparate enough to want to wait a turn for boardclears.

Considering this is their Epic, supposedly one of the more powerful sigils, I'd wager this whole mechanic is not going to pan out.

Weell...I would guess your indifference to Boar stems from you forgetting they are fully unnerfing Quest Rogue. I dare say Boar is more a cause for concern than Bluegill if you have objections to charge.

So, I'm assuming it no longer bonks your max health to 15...it now gains you 5 in fact. Is the hero power the same?

Well now it's even more of a priority target. I guess it's a good thing Odd Paladin isn't THAT good.

This card is the literal embodiment of "be careful what you wish for" and I love it. Both players have to opt in for the effect and then shit goes bonkers.

A.k.a. Tutor your N'Zoth the Corruptor in every deathrattle deck you play. I like.

Considering the state Wild is in right now, I doubt it. A lot of the cards that have been nerfed in the past wouldn't make much of a splash against the current Tier 1 decks (Preparation, Shaman Galakrond, Wild Growth, Power Word Shield, Dinotamer Brann, etc.) . Unless they unnerf a ton of the initial DH cards (like Skull). The DH card pool is a bit of a mess so I'm not sure what's rotating and what isn't.

I mean, it's presumably going to be the same exact format forever without any balance changes or additions. There's gonna be a handful of best decks that will remain the best decks for eternity. It's bound to die off and my guess is it'll happen pretty quickly. Honestly I don't think they thought the idea through very much.

Thumbs up on most of this but...weird question. Say I'm a Wild player. They introduce the Core set, which will contain 29 new cards (all the rest are "reprints"). Then next year, when set rotation happens, the Core set gets replaced with a different Core set, likely again containing 29 new cards. Does that mean the 29 new cards from the previous year's Core set are now and forever unavailable and unplayable, even in Wild? Essentially, Wild now also has an, albeit small, rotating set? Am I understaning this right?

I'd really love Muradin or Lothar as a Hero rather than a Legendary minion. As someone who only played the RTS games and not WoW, I like to have a hero I know as my portrait and Warriors are the only class that doesn't allow that. You got Jaina, Tyrande, Malfurion, Uther/Arthas, Maiev, Illidan, Rexxar and Thrall all from Warcraft 3, and Guldan from Warcraft 2, but all Warrior heroes are from WoW.

    Quote From Sykomyke

Every other card game I've ever played has also had sets rotate out.  It's not a new concept.  Not to "young shame" but have you ever played any other card games? Because if you did, you'd realize that this is not a foreign concept.

Young shame? Bitch please. I've played MtG pretty much since it came out. And no I'm not talking about Arena, I'm talking about cards on paper with pictures of them. Do you even remember what that is? So to counter your argument with your own quote, eternal formats are not a foreign concept.

Also you seem to have skipped over a few steps there. It may be difficult to imagine but there is in fact more than one viable deck per class in Wild. Standard players may be sitting cosy on 10 free deck slots but Wild players don't. So what you meant to say was: Step 1: Pick a deck to delete and make sure it's saved in your third-party programme of choice. Step 6: Reimport the deck into Hearthstone from your third party programme (cause god forbid Hearthstone was actually able to store all your shit), repick your card back of choice, repick your hero portrait, rename the deck (cause importing saves none of that), then reposition the deck back where it belongs in your collection.

Literally all it would have taken was to omit the word Standard from the quest and it would be fine. There is exactly zero reason to force Wild players to only complete quests in Standard.

The issue I have is not with playing ranked. It's that they're forcing Wild players to scrap a deck just so they can queue for Standard. Wouldn't have been hard to make it Play 5 Games of Ranked. Hell, if we're all about catering to all play modes (Battlegrounds, Duels, Constructed), where's the next quest after that: Play 5 Games of Ranked Wild? Kinda tired of how obvious they are at treating Wild players as second rate citizens while choosing not to incentivise Standard players to occasionally try Wild as well. Wild players get dragged over to Standard but never the other way around.
