    According the the HS wiki the pool is shared (https://hearthstone.gamepedia.com/Battlegrounds#Tavern_Phase), and considering that's the way it works in other games of this type, that's no big surprise. What that means is that there can be value in for example monopolising a tribe that no other player is drafting, early levelling to snatch up high-tier minions before others do or early rerolling to combine popular low-tier minions.

  • Battlegrounds feels very limited and poorly balanced right now. I think it has lots of room to expand and become a much more enjoyable play mode, and these changes will be a great start in that direction. I'm really excited to see how it gets better over time!

Does anyone know if this is the case or not? Would totally change your recruiting strategy to know this, since getting triples is so valuable.

  • I like the overall experience of this new mode, but the games I've played have been very frustrating. I keep getting offered those crazy demon synergy cards, but no demons. Why would they create new cards for demon and beast synergy, but not mechs or murlocs? It seems like whoever stacks those guys most wins. Also Ragnaros? Yeah that's fair. I'm hoping for better balance as they improve it.

  • What happens if you have Zentimo on the board? Will it then hit 5 minions? Will targeting the adjacent minions then hit the middle one a second time? Or will Zentimo do nothing, since there is no additional "targeting" happening? Can't wait to test it out.

  • This card gets A+ for flavor! Firing Leper Gnomes at your opponent? Yes please! How good is it? Probably playable. Need to see more cards to get a feel for how well this new hero power based hunter will fare.

  • Hard to see this being too good, but at the same time, we can't really judge yet what summoning a random dragon will be like. The pool is larger than ever, even more so in wild. We've already seen some new little ones, plus good old Faerie Dragon but I think overall they'll be some big stats. Anyone want to math it out? Not my strong suit.

  • I mean ... I dunno guys. Has generating random demons EVER been good? I played plenty of Kazakus when he was standard, and still play him in wild. How often do I pick the "random demons" potion? Just about never. Sure, summoning a Pit Lord or Felguard without the battlecry is good, but ... I guess we'll see.

  • I'm excited for this guy. Based on some of the discussion here and looking at other cards, I think you can get multiple Waxadreds every time you draw his candle, regardless of whether he died or not. I do not expect him to "go dormant" like others. Win condition? Maybe not. But reasonably powerful and fun.

  • I guess it makes sense, since it's a hero card, and heroes start at 30 health. I don't see why they don't have different stat boards for different card types though. There are only 4, after all. Spells are listed as having 0 attack and 0 health.

  • That's a card! Will he die after taking 12 damage, or keep attacking until he's hit everything?

  • Bummer. If you like to play control or combo strategies, Doomsayer is a good craft. He helps you delay until you can pull off your combo. He's extra good in mage since you can play him on turn 5 with Frost Nova for an almost guaranteed clear.

  • I love Vargoth/Time Warp combos, like Time Warp isn't unfair enough if you pull it off! I'd slot in some more survivability like Ice Block, and maybe Doomsayer.
