Few things are more satisfying than when you force your opponent to have a full hand (in this case, my opponent had 9 cards so I triggered his/her Dirty Tricks so he'd overdraw), and they end up burning a key card in their deck. One of the times when you feel like a genius when you really just lucked out XD
Here's what happened. I'm playing Tempo Demon Hunter (yes, yes, I'm a real bastard, I know, just wanted to grab up some easy ranks before the second nerfs hit). Drop my Imprisoned Antaen on curve (cuz I like winning). He wakes up and sprays his 10 damage all over the place, then my opponent plays Maiev Shadowsong and puts him back to sleep. Two turns later, he wakes back up and guess what? Ten more damage to my enemy's board and face.
Just wanted to put this out there for anyone who hasn't seen this interaction.
I've always assumed that this interaction would happen. After all, the card text for dormant minions always read "when this awakens," so it makes sense that their effects will re-trigger if they awaken from dormancy a second time. But thanks for confirming it, I've actually never seen it played or tried doing it myself (I just crafted Maiev Shadowsong yesterday).
I've played 20+ games with this Odd Token DH and not once was Nethrandamus useful, most of the time sitting as a dead card in my hand. Until this game when he forced a concede from my opponent who was beating me down all game. Thanks for being useful for once, Nethrandamus! Time now to remove your useless ass from the deck. :P
I played a lot of Rez Priest in the last meta which inflated my wins with the class, so it's the closest I have to another golden portrait at 214 wins.
However, I'm solely playing Demon Hunter now, managed to grind to 110 wins so far. I probably would've had 150+ if it weren't for all those annoying Warlocks on ladder. Boy, the Sacrificial Pact nerf can't come soon enough, it just hard counters any Demon Hunter deck. I just want that golden DH portrait!
but it proabbly works in terms of who came first? Loatheb first says it costs 5 more. then u get eye beam that says if this is outcast then it costs 1. loatheb effect comes first, think of it as a stack just like on MtG or LoR, effects triggered after are prioritized so they happen first and according to the cards mechanic
Well it's a loophole for sure, mainly because of how Eye Beam's outcast effect is worded. Is there any other spell/card that can circumvent Loatheb's effect like this card can?
Although this only happened because I managed to topdeck Eye Beam right after my opponent played Loatheb, so maybe that's why the outcast effect overrode it. I wonder if the spell will cost 6 mana if it's been sitting in my hand in outcast position once Loatheb is played (probably not because of the wording).
Interesting interaction with this card in Wild today. My opponent played Loatheb and I drew Eye Beam next turn, which means it should cost 6 mana. However, the spell still cost 1 mana. It seems like the Outcast effect overrides Loatheb's. I don't know if this is a bug or not, but it feels unfair.
It's got its up- and downsides. On the other side of the coin I drew one off of Skull of Gul'dan (outcasted) and it was on the far right side of my hand. I expected it to cost 0 but instead it cost 1 mana, which I didn't have.
Guys, the card says "This costs (1)", not "This costs (2) less".
Yes, I understood that. It's just that its wording effectively negates Loatheb's effect when it's in outcast position, which feels unfair yet understandable (again, given the wording on the card).

Quest Mage needs to DIE. I hope the devs nerf this pathetic piece of shit to oblivion, so all the fucking losers who somehow enjoy playing it will just crawl into a toilet and flush themselves down a septic tank where they fucking belong, and hopefully they all rot there
Man, Demon Hunter has an insane arsenal of damage that it's even capable of brutalizing Wild decks. Altruis the Outcast enables some crazy turns as well, just like in the game I had against this Reno Mage.
So to recap, I just dealt 14 damage to the opponent's face while wiping out their board and filling up my side of the board in the process. On turn 8. Even playing Reno Jackson wouldn't have saved my opponent from lethal next turn.
Yeah, I think more nerfs are in order for this class.
Demon Hunter is insanely good as expected, it feels like the class has everything at its disposal already. Card draw (Skull of Gul'dan is amazing), healing, burst damage, spells that could finish off your opponent, etc. The midgame burst of Imprisoned Antaen on Turn 5 to Priestess of Fury on turn 7 is downright devastating.
I crafted Kayn Sunfury ASAP because I'm gonna spam this class until the inevitable nerfs hit. I'm expecting nerfs to Priestess of Fury (8 mana?) and Skull of Gul'dan (up to 6 or 7 mana).
Lady Liadrin - I just got a golden Paladin portrait last month, so I want to play some strong Paladin decks in the upcoming expansion. Libram Paladin looks OP.
[Hearthstone Card (Basic) Not Found] - Animal Companion, the ever reliable Hunter card.
[Hearthstone Card (Common) Not Found] - Eternium Rover. Being a Warrior main, this card has been an auto-include in decks for as long as I can remember. I'll miss it once it's gone from standard.
[Hearthstone Card (Rare) Not Found] - Dyn-o-matic, unique removal for Warrior. I like that it's not a simple board clear, that you actually had to set up the board state to maximize the effect.
[Hearthstone Card (Epic) Not Found] - Corpsetaker, such a unique design for a card. It was always annoying whenever you drew one of the keywords before you could play her, but when you pull it off, it's always satisfying. Honorable mention to Supercollider, just a fun weapon to play and strategize against.
Legendary - Sunkeeper Tarim, the ultimate equalizer. There was almost never a bad time to play him. Also the first legendary I ever crafted, so he has a special place in my heart.
Probably the best card in the expansion, maybe one of the best ever. It's honestly stronger and more reliable than some of the legendary spells released in the game.
All Galakrond Rogue players can FUCK RIGHT OFF. It's so annoying how this deck is still so strong even with Leeroy gone. It's literally the only matchup preventing me from getting legend this season. FUCK. OFF.
(Btw, I'm playing Rez Priest, but I don't give a hobo's hat what you all think)
I'm at a loss for words to describe how much I despise Resurrect Priest. Please make it go away and give this class a viable win condition already.
The hate towards Resurrect Priest is astounding given the fact that both those who play it and those who face it don't like the archetype at all most of the times.
I hate this archetype too, but it's actually what I'm using to climb to legend right now, since I don't like much of the other meta decks. And I'm so close to legend, just 5 more stars! It's even better now that Galakrond Rogue's somewhat weakened by Leeroy's HoF, so that takes care of its toughest matchup.
That said, I don't know how I'll feel when I reach legend with this archetype that I really despise. It's like I sold my soul to the devil lol

Sunkeeper Tarim - Ironically, his favorite number is 4.

So far I have three golden portraits:
Warrior - 780+ wins
Hunter - 596 wins
Paladin - 509 wins

The world would be a better place to live in if all combo and OTK decks just died.

Man, Demon Hunter has an insane arsenal of damage that it's even capable of brutalizing Wild decks. Altruis the Outcast enables some crazy turns as well, just like in the game I had against this Reno Mage.
For context, at the start of this turn, my opponent was at 20 health and had a 2/8 Malygos, Aspect of Magic, 4/8 Twilight Drake, and two Eccentric Scribes from Power of Creation. I was playing from behind all game, until I played a discounted Altruis the Outcast and some other shenanigans to clear my opponent's board, then dropped a discounted Priestess of Fury for the coup de grace.
So to recap, I just dealt 14 damage to the opponent's face while wiping out their board and filling up my side of the board in the process. On turn 8. Even playing Reno Jackson wouldn't have saved my opponent from lethal next turn.

No-brainer: Maiev Shadowsong, though I might wait around before crafting her. I don't think she's as must-craft as Kronx Dragonhoof, Dragonqueen Alexstrasza, orZephrys the Great.
Personal picks:
Shadowjeweler Hanar - Secret/Stealth Rogue looks like a powerful deck, can't wait to play it.
Akama
Kayn Sunfury - I'm gonna spam DH until I grow tired of it.
Metamorphosis

Bought the 90-pack bundle and got 5 legendaries.
Reliquary of Souls
Keli'dan the Breaker
Zixor, Apex Predator
Soul Mirror
Murgur Murgurgle
Well, that was crap. Still waiting on the free legendaries, and I'll be purchasing more packs with in-game gold on launch day.
Lost a mirror match against a Highlander Hunter when my opponent's Dragonqueen Alexstrasza gave him a Nozari just when he was at 1 health.
I mean, that's only like the 5th time that Nozari has fucked me over just when I have lethal! Amazing!

Yep, just got all the Demon Hunter initiate cards after beating Nithogg. Weird.
