Flexible as a Sylvanas type of steal that also full heals what you steal, and you can target the steal instead of it being random. Or you can use it as a way to full heal your own minion that has been reduced to 4 health or less. Probably not a lot of situations where you use this for damage but don't kill the target.
That was my very first thought too! On turn 5 when combined with Wisp this is a 5 mana 9/9 with no downside because it couldn't attack that turn anyway.
After seeing the Rdu clip in the latest Trolden video with Gibberling... I am not sleeping on this card! I know it’ll be rare, but when he made like four 2/2s, a 1/1, and a 3/3 on turn 1 I was like, “Oh damn!”
I believe they also said it will have rewards similar to Arena, so I'm kind of thinking maybe something like Arena but constructed. So Brawleseum plus Tavern Brawl "Brawl Block" with monthly rotating sets available. Or bi-monthly like what they did with Arena last year.
I'm still holding out hope for a type of tournament mode. Maybe 8 players, again with rotating sets mixing Standard and Wild, but you sign in play a short tournament bracket to see how far you can get. Ultimately could increase to 16 or 32 players if it's popular enough to support it. Even at 32 players that's still just 5 wins to take first if they did a format like this. The hardest thing about doing something like that would be waiting for the other games to get over if yours went really fast.
I played against only one of them when playing Even Totem Shaman to legend but I can say my 79% winrate Shaman got obliterated by DMH Warrior! That's just one match up, and really just one match, but Zeddy in particular has been playing it a lot lately I think. Check out some of his videos on YouTube. Probably has at least one on DMH Warrior.
Thanks for the highlight! That Shaman deck seems to be a pretty strong choice for the Wild meta right now. Anyone interested in playing it better hurry before new cards drop! Or play it WHEN the new cards drop to mow down players experimenting with new stuff... whatever! I won't try and tell you what to do. I'm not your dad!
I like having different backs to sometimes go with the theme of a deck. But at this point I've got so many, I'd rather save my money/gold for something non-cosmetic. Just a personal opinion though.
I believe achievements in the game was something they mentioned as a feature coming this year, but can't remember if it was 2nd or 3rd expansion cycle. Might make sense to add it along with the new game mode, which is supposed to debut this expansion cycle.
I always see Sylvanas and think, "Rogue opponent" until I realize the hero power is Steady Shot. I know the lore, she was a ranger, so Hunter is a fit, but I see her and don't think Hunter for some reason. Color scheme perhaps?
The animated Garrosh portrait at 500 wins is pretty nice, honestly. With the flames all around him. And Scholar Jaina... so Jaina in her younger, college years?! Maybe her WC3 look.
Discover and Lifesteal they saw a lot of promise in, and liked the design space that they open up. But yeah, with a lot of the others they give them the Enrage treatment outside of their intended sets. Echo had one exception with SN1P-SN4P.
Certain keywords rarely get used outside of their set because the devs must think it would hurt the flavor of the set it was designed for... or so I assume. Same reason why Phase Stalker doesn’t say Inspire, and [Hearthstone Card (Witch’s Brew) Not Found] wasn’t Echo.
I don’t get why they don’t reuse certain keywords when appropriate. I know Recruit was a K&C keyword, and Echo was only WW (with at least one exception in SN1P-SN4P), but is it going to hurt the flavor of the old sets by reusing the keywords occasionally???
Another great example is Phase Stalker... why doesn’t it just say “Inspire: Cast a secret from your deck.”? Is it because they think new players might not recognize the keyword and be too dumb to figure it out???
Not too bad! Not great, but not bad...
Anything involving the Soul Fragments mechanic gets 5 stars from me! Fairly easy set up for a decent board clear effect if you fall behind.
Could be okay in a control/midrange style that uses the 1/1 Illidari with rush to make trades... maybe.
Anything involving the Soul Fragments mechanic gets 5 stars from me! This is like a smaller Inner Demon with a body and a fairly easy set up.
I wouldn't be surprised if this sees some play. Maybe not meta defining, but possibly good enough for a fun Stealth build.

Got to have this before opening packs! It's on the required materials list for new students!
