I like how the reveal video shows her summoning an Imprisoned Scrap Imp and a Flame Imp. I don't feel like this card belongs in that deck they used for the reveal... Throw in a few big demons and then yeah, she fits. That said, I feel she'll be better in Wild then in Standard and I'm honestly not sure if she's worth it in Wild.
The one advantage is Merc needs the card to be damaged, this doesn't. So say you are on turn 7, you can play Playmaker, Mummy, now you have 12 rush damage to distribute in trades, granted your first Mummy trades into something with 2+ attack so it dies.
With Merc you could do a similar play but only get 9 rush damage across three trades because you'd likely kill off the first Mummy and then play Merc on the Mummy after it's Reborn.
Two Kargath Primes could also be a big deal depending on the meta. But yes, Merc will likely still be more versatile and therefore better. But the devs really love Rush! It's been a little overused in my opinion since it was debuted in WitchWood. So who knows what they might print next with the Rush keyword. Don't count this Playmaker out just yet.
Probably won’t see it too much in Wild because it is even costed at 4. But if a non-Odd DH gets traction this plus an Augmented Elekk can disrupt opponents by not only shuffling cards back into their deck, but should also give them copies and turn off Reno effects. It then also gives the DH copies of what it shuffled in, making for a pseudo card generation tool when used with Elekk. I’d be interested to see a type of control or disruption variant of DH come around in Wild. But again... it’s not odd, and Odd DH is still pretty strong without Warglaives. And it’s likely just way too slow for Wild anyway. So my dream is likely just a meme!
Small board clear and makes opponents consider board positioning. Even better if you can drop with spell damage in play, or potentially combo with a good spellburst effect.
Blizz: Hey, Kripp! You know how you love playing constructed?
Kripp: No.
Blizz: Well we think you’d be perfect to do the final card reveal!
Kripp: Okay...
That is how I imagine the conversation about doing the live stream went.
But honestly, despite not being a constructed player, I feel like Kripp will be able to give accurate feedback and analysis, and maybe even some honest feedback if we see something revealed that devs are excited about, but really is total garbage.
I could see the Rogue/Mage legendary having a battlecry of adding a random secret from all classes to your hand. Obviously not all classes have secrets, so they may need to specifically call out the four classes that do in the text, or they could just say "all". Perhaps to keep it to the dual class nature it'd just be discover a Mage secret and a Rogue secret instead.
Yeah, I was wondering which one was his championship card for a while. It's a bit more obscure than say Fiery Bat. But it was during the previous Masters Tour broadcast I heard them talk about the meaning of his name and how Priest of the Feast was his card. Pretty cool!
I wonder if Tom's championship card is Madame Lazul, which would make sense as his Global Games team used magic to know what their opponent had burned earlier, and Lazul gives you info regarding your opponent's hand! :)
Playing a Wild game, admittedly using Odd Demon Hunter with a few additional Inspire cards after the nerfs including Dragonhawk Rider (what?!?!). I get matched up against a Time Warp Mage, a deck I've also played a lot of in the past. It's not a super tough deck to pilot in my opinion, but this guy... rope turn 1 and play the quest at the last second and pass. Does it again turn 2, so I started doing it back. Eventually he starts playing faster and so I stop roping too. Once I stop roping he STARTS roping again...
"Dude, this is the Pepper Thread, not the Salt Thread!" I promise I'm getting to the Pepper!
Anyway, he's down to one card, empty board except for my Glaivebound Adept that just cleared his Flamewaker Top decks Evocation with just three spells needed to complete the quest. No problem for me there, especially since his third spell he played after Evocation was a second Evocation that the first generated.
So the second Evocation fills his hand and triggers the quest completion, and his extra turn is no more! The very next turn (because he didn't immediately shame concede) he draws Archmage Vargoth! He didn't really have anything left in hand to threaten me anyway, but had he not been an idiot he could have at least bought some time... But I guess this is one fine example of a roping bastard getting what he deserved.
It's a combo of these two cards because the discount is not just this turn, but it's on the next spell you cast, not just on the discovered card. And all three can discover themselves and immediately recast for free to try again.
This makes me think of how in the initial design of the game they wanted to make the board interactions actually affect the game, but thankfully opted to just make them fun little clickables with no effect on the outcome. Now they've flipped that idea so that the card interacts with the game differently depending on the board.
So add disruption to the various list of Demon Hunter's overall strengths I guess? That's good, they didn't have enough strengths already...

It could be a utility card when you have Pit Commander in play but most of your big demons in hand.
But also just nice if you’re low on cards. If you’re top decking and your opponent has an almost full hand this is nuts!
The first thing I did was look at the cost. And it’s odd cost... Great!
The art is horrifying!

I like the flavor; mage that will become (or is becoming?) a necromancer. So Spellburst ability tied to resummoning what you kill.
Could be interesting and has potential.

In the past they’ve given out freebies to say sorry. Let’s see if they do this time

Kind of rooting for Ostkaka, but only because I recently found out that ostkaka is Swedish for “cheesecake”!
Watching the video and Catrina comes down...
Mark, “Give him a Frog!”
Me, “It’s always Infiltrator, no matter what.”
*Infiltrator rez despite so many other weak minions in the pool*
Me watching Mark’s reaction, “Yep! I feel you, bro!”
Trying to figure out if that is real, or if sinti is trolling us...
Kael’thas is going to love this!

Hey there, Primordial Glyph! What are you up to these days? I see you and Haunting Visions had a baby! How cute.
