Idk man, that Vanessa artwork looked pretty good and kinda goes against all the other repurposed artwork of this particular chapter. I wouldn't be surprised if they give us another version of her.
This one felt a bit....rushed? I mean, I understand it's just supposed to move the plot forward and set up Alterac, but the whole Deadmines fights felt kind of...lacking in personality.
I guess we're gonna be seeing Vanessa again in the coming expansion.
While I think Drek'thar is the most likely to be meta (huge in Zoo), I'll pick Vanndar because he's my last hope for making both Big Warlock and Big Druid work.
Oh my, that Cariel Hero card looks quite powerful although I guess the weapon is balanced via Rustrot Viper and the hero power is balanced by the fact that Paladin doesn't have endless minions (or ways to add them to their hand). I wonder if weapon revival will be a thing in this expansions. If yes, Paladin actually has a shot at beating other lategame strategies like the Quests.
I noticed the hair too, but I wasn't sure. Would be a bit strange to replace her with some complete rando, especially a Lich, who, as far as I'M aware, aren't really standard Horde conscripts.
Kinda weird that I'm actually excited about how they're going to handle this.
That sounds....questionable. Choosing between Alliance and Horde based on two legendaries who are most likely quite different in terms of powerlevel will most likely skew the outcome. Also not a fan of getting a Golden Legendary unless we also get to DE it (which would be awesome, but I doubt it's going to happen).
New Keyword sounds interesting and way better than Overkill.
Hero cards were a given, although I wonder what they'll do with Warlock now that Tamsin is dead (at least for now)
I feel like you're drastically overexaggerating the power of Ignite (in Standard at least). As of now, Ignite is basically a slightly better Forgotten Torch that only works as insurance against super-control decks. Unless Sanctum Chandler somehow becomes meta I doubt Ignite Mage will be relevant in Standard.
I'd be very cautious about Tamsin staying dead. She died once already, it just seems like a formality. It'd be really weird if all the mercs make it back except her and she just gets replaced by some complete randie.
Then again, I have no idea where this story is going in the first place so who knows.
It's not like much has changed on paper. It still shreds slower decks (at best you get one more turn before you're out of health). I'm pretty sure the main idea behind the nerf was to actively dissuade people from playing it because it has an inflated playrate. People tend to just drop certain decks after a nerf, even if they're still fine (Look at Questlock. The deck's still great, but you'll barely see it on ladder because most people just kind of forgot about it or something).
It's like Inquisitor for Paladin. Big instant payoff and even bigger payoff if it lives. Also a huge buff to Cenarion Ward.
This tickles my Midrange-loving heart. Let's hope it's a card you actually get to play and not something you just cheese out on turn 6.
Then again, Commencement is also a Paladin card, so who knows what they're cooking up.

Not my cup of tea but I'm glad they're expanding on these non-canon skins.

a grave injustice. Give me big tiddy skeletons

So is this Lich person supposed to be Tamsin or is it a new character? Looks kinda masculine but I have no idea how Lich transformations work in WoW.
I guess at least they commited to her demise.

actually it's the first announcement for the card reveal before the expansion announcement.
It broke new ground.

Wait.
That's tomorrow.
Sick.

Not gonna lie, I had to do a double take and make sure I didn't somehow miss April 1st (in the middle of November).
I guess it just follows that after Shadow Priest and Control HUnter they'd try to make yet another meme of the past happen.
