I can't express how I love the concept of this card.
I hope I can make good use of it.
You can duplicate the totems, buff them or evolve them and control the board or clear it with all the tools available to shaman now.
This gives access to rush to treant druid, which is a major improvement to that deck. Not that treant druid will be good because of this.
I suppose this confirms that Treants will never become a tribe.
Unless we will eventually have a double tribe minions
So they are both treants and totems ? Weird things (like this) happen if you don't give treants a tag...
Btw, as much as i understand from video, this card works with Stelladris because token that has overload has summon text aswell.
Really confused as to how this will work with druid quest..
Given that the second choice is referring to the minions from the first choice, rather than saying “or summon 4 treant totems” I’d think that it would just do the same as choosing the second effect
A shame that the card has poor synergy with Keeper Stalladris
Why? I guess one card will summon four Tokens, and the second one with overload will summon four Tokens with rush.
I guess it it pending official translation but as I interpret the current wording, it suggests that the latter option is just enabling rush- not actually summoning tokens? I could be wrong and ignore me if I am
Stalladris will give you cards that do the same thing as if you chose that option. Since when you choose the overload route you summon the minions, the Stalladris card for this should too.
The wording on the choose one card is as succinct as it can be while being clear, but the two options truly are distinct things and one does not modify the other in actual game terms.
I think we'll need to wait for the separated spells, like Rampant Growth or Enrich to understand the choose effect properly...
I agree, I think this will tell us how it works in Quest Druid as well. I would imagine that 2nd choose one card would be give your minions rush with overload, or the full summon 4 treant totems with rush and overload 2. I think the later is less likely, but if it is that then Quest Druid is getting a pretty interesting card.
At 10 mana it can be combo'd with Soul of the Forest and the 0 mana if you have 3 treants draw 2 card. Not great though.
Yeah the language is confusing. 2 overload to give them rush. They're each both treants and totems.
As foretold by the prophecy. Treant totems
Does 8 damage for 3 with a big problem being the 2 overload the turn after.
For druid, I'm not really sure if this can make a fit, given that the overload will force you into a 5 mana turn 7, meaning you can't play Goru the Mightree on curve, and will likely also cause you to float 1 mana if you decide to play him the turn after. Token druid plays a snowbally game where defense is only relevant as long as you can keep your board up. So maybe this can make the cut? Its a very slim yes for me.
fk me, the card actually reads choose to summon 4 treant totems (whatever that means), OR do the same but overload for 2 to give them rush. Well that's makes this immeasurably worse off for druid. Aside from what I pointed out earlier, this card is just a small boost from Force of Nature, but comes 1 turn later. Not sure if I would put this in token druid to be honest.
As for shaman, its very nearly perfect. Unlike token druid, shaman does not have the pleasure of swarming the board every turn and is intrinsically more of a combo deck, so any defensive card is welcome even with the 2 overload. Plus, played on 6 does not prevent you from dropping Totem Goliath out on 7, so its still somewhat within the gameplan.
You don't have to overload though. If you summon them without rush
yeah it only appeared to me after a second viewing on the video itself. And I can actually read it too :(
