I haven't had the chance to check this interaction for long as the build was terrible, but it seems that Paralytic Poison is considered an aura effect in Duels? I had it played on one weapon and was immune for any attack with weapons after that (even switching weapons)

Last night I was trying a DemonHunter run out got the new Fel treasure; the one that shuffle 2 fel rifts in. Each time I did this and drew either that turn or the next, each draw for 2 draws (if 1 fel spell) was 2 imps being summoned.

who like theorycrafting and creativity!

I made this for my own will.

From 5th to 12th Dec Duels competition will be conducted with theorycrafted decks! However, don't be intimidated
as its appliance rules are easy, and Duels starting deck consists of 15 cards and 1 Treasure.

To participate, follow these steps:

• create a deck;
• send it to Nosferatu or any moderator from Discord server (link below);
  if it conforms to requirements, your deck appears in a special channel in Discord;
• Once decks submission's window is closed, all decks will be published in a special channel;
• Everyone can vote for any number of decks just sending a smile under the post with deck;
• Three decks that received the most likes will be selected for competition regardless of deck
  power or how it suits the current meta! Nosferatu will play each deck three times, and the winner
  will be determined by an average number of wins.

Now in more details:

• Deck must contain at least 3 cards from the 'Fractured in Alterac Valley';
• No changes to a deck or Hero Power/starting Treasure are allowed once the deck is submitted;
• Decks are accepted till the end of Dec 8th;
• Discord members vote on decks from 8th to 10th Dec;
  From Dec 10th, Nosferatu will play each deck with rotating a deck after Duels run to bring randomness in total deck's results;
• For each deck, an average number of wins is calculated, and this will be a deck score;
  There must be at least 0.5 difference between deck scores to pick a winner. For example, the shaman deck
  has avg 7.7 and the mage one 7.4, so the difference is 0.4. In such case, Nosferatu play with both decks
  one more time, and new deck scores will be calculated, and the winner will be chosen based on the new
  scores without re-runs even when if the difference is still <0.5;

Competitors will challenge for money equal to Hearthstone goods - the cost of 40/15/7 packs for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places, respectively.
Please note that Nosferatu is from the RU region (from Hearthstone perspective), and money prizes are 2799, 1099, and 599 RUB sent
to winners' Battle.net Balance. So EU and US players, be aware of the price difference!

Has there been any mention of removing Diablo from Duels similar to how Diablo was removed from BG's in the recent patch?

Honestly he would be a perfectly balanced and interesting hero if it weren't for the existance of the Demon Seed.  Considering it's duels I doubt we'll see Demon Seed removed/banned from that mode, so my only other hope is that he is removed.

Diablo w/ Demon Seed quest is about as annoying as facing a Mind Tether Priest with Fire Shaping.  It's just an overall 'unfun' experience that leaves a bad taste in your mouth.

I suck at deck building. Especially since I only have access to a PC and can only play on mobile devices it's really hard to get sth. together on the small display. I'm looking for an idea for an Diablo deck. I have only the 3 dmg hero power and fire stomp. My plan was to auto complete a deck, but I don't find the option to do this. Should I build around the WL Questline? I don't have any idea ... 

As I just plan to play to complete the Legendary quest i could throw in any cards, but I like to have at least some kind of synergy.

I know what you are thinking right now "Doesn't that happen every Expansion?" and the answer is actually no. The mode has been in "Season 1: Wizzard Duels" since its release. Your memories might mix something up with the "rating reset" coundtown which let to the "Season 1 mid-Season" update in January.

I havn't found any evidence on a Saison update for the Barrens expansion on the Internet. Only that there was a nameless big content update

Season 1 came with 10 heroes with 1 HP and starting Treasure each aswell as a bunch of passive and active Treasures for the runs. I expect something similar with the potential "Mercenary Duels" in Season 2.

Funfact: Since it said "Next Season in 1 > Month" two Months ago I looked up this screen every time after they patch the game and today it was finally worth it.

Personally, I think the 4 heroes limit at startup should be removed. The main purpose is probably to have a broader representation of all classes during each run, but I think we should not be restricted in our choice of which class to play. I have always thought it was weird for Arena also. Especially when you are spending 150 gold or a tavern ticket.

So... apparently you can get the same treasure at the same time... 

Is this some bug? First time it happens to me.

First run of the new season, first ever 12 win duels run for me. There's only one thing to do in a moment like this. 

My Royal Mukla Duels Paladin deck has been my favorite for duels. It was a work in progress from that original list, with big improvements (Echoing Ooze & Soggoth the Slitherer) coming in thanks to Avalon's great duels articles, and it got some serious love with the new rotation. Turns out Ragnaros the Firelord is pretty good. With a nod to Elise the Trailblazer and the good luck I had with treasures and buckets, it was a very lopsided run. The only loss was this brutal beatdown by a god-hand Shaman. 

Rally the Troops is busted. So very, very busted.

Duels has been my favorite new HS feature.

However, with the new patch the best new starting treasures are locked unless you have all of the Darkmoon cards!  

I typically buy the expansion set on each release, so am currently supporting the game like many others, and am able to get the legendaries that I want the most for constructed play and duels decks.  However, I don't want to spend extra money to buy all the cards that I will never use just to unlock treasures in duels!  The old unlocks had a low bar so weren't a big deal for me.  

Besides being disappointed at not getting the treasures that were announced, the bigger problem is it makes it harder to play duels competitively, as I would have to compete against players who have those.  

Anyone share my concern?  Maybe we can together convince HS team to lower the bar for unlocking the treasures, or remove it.  Or make it based on some other metric.

I may just be a negative nancy here but the balance changes seem to not do anything to the mode other than remove some high rolls (and kill rogue for some reason). Demon Hunter in Duels wasn't overpowered because of the treasures (although they did contribute) but rather because the Outlander Heropower is just plain overpowered and abusable in that class. In general it feels like every class has one good deck and that is the deck you will face, few exceptions apply. You run into Hunter, it will be Deathrattle. You run into warlock, it will be discard with C'thun and killmox (yeah I know kilmox will be nerfed but it will be run nontheless). The hero powers just kind of decide how you play the game and there is very little you can do to change it due to the limited card pool.

Not to mention how far apart the power level of treasures are. There are the ones that actively reduce the cost of your cards or give them rush while others barely do a thing (how is "make your weapons cost 1 less" a treasure?).

And then there is the whole issue of chain-queuing into the same person multiple times.

I don't know, I love the mode but after a few games it feels extremly same-y where even standart feels more versatile. Maybe that will change once all the hero powers and treasures are revealed but so far it just plays like an elaborate tavern brawl.

Forgot to take a screenshot, but I added C'Thun, the Shattered to my deck, and got the Small Pouches treasure. It pulled C'Thun into my hand at the start of the game, and as a result his "start of game" effect never triggered - I just had him in hand.

I was looking for duels decks and I found your website. I used to use hearthpwn and I am looking forward to getting familiar with out of cards!

My first issue is that I am using the out of cards plugin for HDT. In HS, it says that my card collection is syncing, yet I still cannot see how much dust each deck will cost me.

My second issue is a request - we can filter by just about anything we want except for our hero power and maybe also our desired treasure. If I know I want to use a particular hero power, I would love an option to filter by a class/hero power combination so I can see all decks that support my desired hero power. How hard would this be to implement? The hero power is most important, but the treasure would be nice if that is possible too!

Hey all! Just updated our deckbuilder so that it supports the new expansion's cards.

This isn't live in Hearthstone until tomorrow, but I figured we could at least get the theorycraft game started.
