[FiTB] Mordresh HP Freeze Mage

My first attempt at a FiTB deck.

The idea of the deck is play Mordresh as one of our win cons. Stall the opponent with freeze spells and board clears, while simultaneously reducing their life with souped up pings from Wildfire meaning our hero power deals 2 or 3 to the face each turn.

There is a small amount of discover through Ruined Orb meaning we would find another Wildfire or a situational spell to help us out. We also have Taelon Fordring to help tutor for Mordresh or Yogg.

We have a couple of Ice Barriers in there to help us survive, and I was thinking about Armour Vendor. To be honest, Armour vendor might be better than shooting start as we only really have Solarian to provide a spell damage boost and the extra 8 armour could really help.

I also thought about Wandmakers to provide extra spells but the 1 mana spells aren't that great for this deck considering we don't don't get to choose the spell. Scorpid might be better, but in place of shooting star. We shall see,

Hope it works and please feel free to add comments or improvements as this is one of my first attempts and deck building.

I like your list. I've been trying to get some inspiration from other people's lists and found some here. If you want some suggestions, here's what I have to offer:

    What to potentially cut:

From what it sounds like in your deck guide, you're not too sure about Shooting Star. I do think Shooting Star is the weakest card here in context as it was historically run in decks that utilized more spell damage. I also think that Yogg-Saron, Master of Fate might prevent you from getting Mordresh Fire Eye from Taelan Fordring when you need Mordresh to finish a game or clear, but if you want to run Yogg for fun, go for it. Lastly, I think Snap Freeze might prove to be too low impact and not synergize well with Glacier Racer and Varden Dawngrasp.

    What to potentially include:

I do like the idea of Armor Vendor like you mention. I'd also consider including Arcanologist to help find your Ice Barriers against aggressive decks. You might consider running one Counterspell or Rigged Faire Game to help with Arcanologist's draw consistency. Lastly, I think Wand Thief would make a good inclusion as discovering spells for cheap in Mage is really efficient and can lead to more Wildfires.

      Great suggestions - thank you.

I initially had Arcanologist in the deck as my initial list ran one Counterspell, one Rigged Faire Game and even one Oasis Ally. I cut the secret package back and so didn't think I needed 2 x Arcanologist. I think it would be worth including one though, or two if I do add more secrets.

I like the idea of Wand Thief and to be honest, I think  that would be a better inclusion that snap freeze. I just figured if you go the freeze route, you kind of need all the cards, but maybe you don't. And more Wildfires sounds - well, wild!!

I like Yogg-Saron, Master of Fate  as an alternative Win Con, Memes, fun and even as a last resort if everything the deck can do doesn't quite get you there. I know it's a gamble, I'd like to run with it a little and see what happens.

Appreciate your comments mate, and I'll edit the deck later to reflect later when I have a little time to think about it.
