Now that everything has been revealed: Am I overreacting or does this just look like the strongest set ever printed?
Whether it is strongest set, hard to say, but... I am pretty sure it might be one of the few strongest sets ever for sure.
Just quickly checked, how many cards with word "costs" are in this set (because it's usually written as "Costs (X) less", where X - amount of mana).
There are 20 cards with mana discounts ("cheating mana") !!! Arguably, some other cards cheat mana too, but without word "costs".
20 mana discounts is highest EVER from all expansions. 2nd highest (15) was... Scholomance Academy - and that set made a BIG impact for maaany months, just look out how many good (and nerfed) cards are there.
Before checking this, I had observation "there is suspiciously many mana discounts in this set". After checking, that's just a confirmation.
Even if those cards don't make impact immediately (because of Questlines...), then after set rotation in April 2022 they might reveal their potential, or even be broken. We shall see...
Strongest? No. Flavorful? Yes.
Borderline acceptable fluff level in the neutral package, otherwise most classes got a decent boost to their deck diversities. But that's just me.
Everything is now revealed!
huge nerfs are coming, I will try not to dust anything.
Dust or dust not. There is no try...
There is a date for the final reveal?
Today, 24th
Will there be a tavern crawl for this expansion? Keep forgetting if I've commented on all the cards and if there will be site rewards for doing so.
Not sure who's the lethargic devil that would downvote your question, as I was wondering the same.
Let me bring back the balance here and patiently wait for a sensible answer.
Hahah thanks mate!
I'd imagine we'll get the tavern crawl soon, I know card reveal season is manic for the OoC team and the Stormwind tavern crawl was released before the final card dump iirc
In the meantime, I'm trying to keep up to date, while it is still manageable.
By now, most cards only have a few pages of comments, so it is "easy" to spot yours.
But yeah, a good ol'crawl makes it this much more convenient to ensure completion of community rating duty ^^
Also, if it is any comfort, last couple expansions, I recalled having posted some Addict Dave Chappelle hitching for more memes, asking if they'd have any more of them tavern crawls
We got our tavern crawl! https://outof.cards/hearthstone/expansions/fractured-in-alterac-valley/tavern-crawl-and-giveaway/
Reveal seasons are always exciting - thanks OoC for making the season such a fun time to be around!
can't wait for release! so many good cards are coming!
If I'm calculating this right, the final dump is happening in less than 6 days. Isn't it too fast?
There's still about 2 weeks from release date from the final dump. of doing nothing? Probably giveaway session then.
Looking at the Alterac Valley board, why is the player on the Alliance side? :(
I guess a left-right split would be less biased, but the top-bottom split does establish you being part of the battle better. The best route would probably be to have a second, reflected board with the Horde on the bottom instead. It wouldn't be the first time there are 2 boards for a single expansion (both League of Explorers sets (LoE and SoU) did for some reason), and they are 3D assets so I imagine it would be easier than making a new board from scratch.
I only see nerf need cards
2020 eat a random in hand
2021 eat every turn WTF
