I own all the old gods right now (C'Thun, Y'Shaarj, Rage Unbound Yogg-Saron, Hope's End, and N'Zoth, the Corruptor), occasionally I try and make decks that focus on the cards, and I was wondering what everyones favorite old gods are, and what decks you enjoy playing with them right now.
My favorite is either Yogg, because he is a blast, or N'zoth, because he is the most practical one.

Hey all,
I've been playing around with a handbuff Paladin deck in wild, using some of the token generators from the latest set to maximise value from the handbuff package previously available. So far I'm at rank 7, and climbing (if somewhat slowly) but most importantly, I'm having a ton of fun with it. From the pause of confusion when you play one of the many cards no other deck on the ladder plays, to the suprise of dropping a buffed Sergeant Sally after a Spiritsinger Umbra, this deck has produced fun gameplay, while not being completely awful.
I figured I'd post it here to get some feedback and opinions, as well as letting anyone interested try it out as well.
I’ll start- I’m running 7(!) Arcanite Reapers in today’s warrior deck. Wish me luck!

Now a forgotten meme of Wild.
HOWEVER, with the revamp of Highlander decks, the card could turn into a tech. Granted, a suboptimal tech.
But what if it had eg. an Elemental tag? The card could find new synergies, and be easier to use in a ladder game. Maybe.
Afterall, Radiant Elemental and Lightspawn are Elementals themselves, while being the opposite of what The Darkness is.
What do you think? Are there more cards that deserve a tribe tag?
PS: Am'gam Rager, Ancient Shade too!

If you all browse the sub-reddit on a regular basis I'm sure you've seen numerous posts where people are asking, begging, pleading for new game modes/formats. Funny thing is, they just shout them at the devs without any explanation as to what they really want and never get down to the nitty gritty of what they're actually asking for. Since we just had WoW classic launch and some card nerfs I think it would be a good time to elaborate on some ideas that I think could potentially be implemented into the game without much change to how the game itself functions.
The way these formats are structured is that the higher on the list the format is, the more deck restrictions that exist. The further down, more deck freedom.
The Formats are:
Grandmaster
Standard
Tables
Pyramid
Brawl Block
Wild
Grandmaster:
-The most strict format, it is designed for the players who are at the absolute top of HS.
-Uses Standard cards
-Ranks 50-1 do not exist.
-You must play 25 matches before getting your placement number, then you proceed to climbing like you would the regular ladder.
--Pretty much placement matches to see where you are in relation to the other players you face.
--The number will change while you are offline.
---You beat opponents A and B but lost to opponent C. Opponent C beats opponents A and B while you were offline and climbs higher than you.
---Prevents people from just sitting at a rank.
-This format exists so Team 5 can selectively remove cards from the format in case of them being over powered. See Dr. Boom, Mad Genius, Conjurer's Calling, and Luna's Pocket Galaxy.
--Team 5 can also selectively ban cards that just simply see too much play.
--Team 5 can also ban cards that cause an OTK, or an overpowered combo that can't be played against.
-As to whether or not this format grants eligibility for Blizzard events/tournaments should be considered. I would like for this to be the replacement for the current Standard Tournament format we have now.
Standard:
-Should be left unchanged and left the way players are familiar with.
-If the Grandmaster format is implemented, the Standard format will most likely never be used for tournaments.
Tables:
-Play with sets during a Standard year.
-Classic and Basic sets will be legal at all tables.
-Playing at the Kraken Table means that you are playing cards that were Standard legal in the Year of the Kraken.
--So on and so forth with every other year.
--"Launch year" will be used for the table that has Naxx, GVG, BRM, TGT, and LOE
-Undecided if this should rotate monthly or have all Tables present all year long.
-Table doesn't exist until the standard year has ended.
-Obviously shouldn't have a tournament presence.
-Legend Ranks within those Tables.
Pyramid:
-Undecided if Wild cards should be used for this format.
-Restarts at the Standard rotation every year.
-At the end of every month, the top %10 of cards included into decks (not win percentage based) are banned.
-Beginning of the year and when expansions release are very unbalanced but should level out within 1-2 months after.
-New cards are only added when the mode resets at the start of the standard year.
-Possible for fun tournament setting for Blizzard to host similar to The Wild Open.
-Has Legend Rank.
Brawl Block:
-If you've played the Brawl you know what I'm talking about, if you haven't go look it up really quick.
-Rotates monthly.
-Has Legend Rank.
-Tournaments unlikely, due to monthly rotation.
Wild:
-Yep, It's Wild.
These formats wouldn't require too much work for Blizzard to do and I think it would be healthy not only for the players being able to play their old cards, but for Team 5 to sell old packs sounds like a win-win.
If you have anything else to add don't hesitate.

Which one should I go with?

With my dust I got from the recent nerfs I was able to also dust my Bloodreaver Gul'dan and make it golden. Now I am stuck between a rock and a hard place as I am trying to determine what else I am going to craft. Here's my situation. I am trying to get the last 100 wins with Hunter, which I loathe playing but I want my golden hero, and the last 40 wins with Warrior to get that golden hero.
With that in mind, I am wondering if crafting either of their recent quests is worth it. I have seen people playing Wild Warrior with Hack the System and it looks wicked fun... but I am not sure if I want to spend the 1600 to do it. Then there is Hunter, which to be fair, the only deck that I can play with that class is the Deathrattle Hunter. I'm a combo player and occasionally dabble with aggro. I have the Mech Hunter, but I hate playing it. Anyone that plays these classes and/or the quests, please let me know if they are worth crafting or if there are other cards that work better

Question about resolving: when the opponent has Pressure Plate active, how are things supposed to be revolved?
I had a 5/13 taunt and a totem with quest shaman, played a Thunderhead and then [Hearthstone Card (Thunderbolt) Not Found] on his 5/5 dino. Then pressure plate resolved b4 i got my 2 1/1 elementals and thus killing my 5/13. Is this supposed to happen or is it a fluke? I'd like to know so that i won't make the same mistake twice next time as it lost me the game. Thanks!

Mountain Giant and Frost Giant can get quite cheap in Even Mage thanks to Archmage Arugal, Book of Specters, and Garrison Commander. Piloted Shredder, Piloted Sky Golem, and Khartut Defender are also pretty good with Conjurer's Calling, especially if you also use Khadgar! You can go from just having one Piloted Mech or Khartut to a full board of 6 or 4 drops and 4 or 2 drops!
It's nice for Even Mage to have a real win condition now that isn't just controlling the board with your Hero Power and Fallen Hero/Ice Walker/Spirit of the Dragonhawk, although these cards do a pretty good job of stalling till you can do a strong CC turn.

Put in a second Nourish and im trying a Dreampetal Florist because we go the Maly Route now :)
Edit: Updated the list a little bit!
I took out the Dreampetal Florist because so far it was not needed nor performing good for me - and i put in a King Phaoris - let's see how it goes!
--------------------
Hi there
I wanted to try my Own Quest Druid build :
Right now there are 2 win cons - Malygos and Chef Nomi - you either shoot your Opponent down using Maly and Moonfires (or swipe) normal or with duplicates or you draw your Deck and try to win with Chef Nomi! If you played Elise at the right time you can Slam Nomi down twice :)
I also thought about including more Heavy Spells and King Phaoris but that seemed way to inconsistent. Well right now the list is not even that consistant. It´s doing decent and so far i'm standing 5-3.
I do not have Cards like Wardruid Loti or Cenarius - that's why they are not in there :)
What do you Guys think? should i focus on only one Win Condition or could this deck work ?

Seems pretty bizarre that once priest finally got a non dragon/non SS actual aggro(ish) deck that it gets nerfed while in the past paladin/warlock/warrior got to use aggressive strategies for significantly longer before ever getting nerfs (and even then some of those classes did not always get deck crippling nerfs for their respective decks in some of their respective metas).

Inspired by ZardozSpeakZ's Screams of the Old Gods, I decided to do a buff event for Rastakhan's Rumble. Why this expansion particularly? For a last expansion of the year, it seemed to have very low impact. Sure, some cards like Da Undatakah or Zul'jin were really powerul (and still are), but mainly it was just a lot of support for existing archtypes or support for Gonk Druid, Discardlock and Healadin. But I'm not gonna go so much in detail because that's not really the point and also because I'll give a brief explanation of my choice on each card.
But first:
![]() | ![]() |
A new Loa, Rezan the King! And another use of the Start of Game ability. Similair to | And a Spirit to accompany the Loa, Spirit of the King! The King gladly helps the meek. Useful in any deck that wants its low Cost cards or some drawing consistency . |
And yes, all players get Rezan and two Spirits of the King for FREE!
Onto the buffs:
![]() | Fair buffs | Interesting buffs |
| Druid |
It seems unfair that one option is so obviously worse than the other one. It's not a big buff, but I think the card would start to see some play, if anything because of versatility. |
Big Beast Druid seemed promising, but Undatakah was just better. The card has been lost ever since, but with this buff someone might stir up a viable Big Beast Druid. |
| Hunter |
Halazzi is pretty useless now, even in casual decks. Reducing the Cost by 1 means you can play it turn 5 with a Lynx, but it would probably still see no serious ranked play. |
There's some experimentation with this in Highlander Hunter, but that's it. With 3 Attack, it becomes much better when played without a Weapon and great when played when you have one equiped. |
| Mage |
Making Elemental support 4 months before Un'goro and Frost Lich Jaina leave Standard. At least now it's more versatile and comparable to Vendetta. |
Not only is Dragon Priest arguably better than Elemental Mage, they also make Elemental Duskbreaker cost 6. It could see play if Elementals become Mage's class identity (like Beasts in Hunter). |
| Paladin |
Spirit of the Tiger has potential, but it's too slow and Paladin doesn't have many good high-Cost spells. Reducing the Cost by 1 helps getting more value from it with midrange spells like Blessing of Kings. |
Since the current Bloodclaw has too big of a downside, even in occasional Healadins, making it 3/2 would make it much better for early control as well as aggression. |
| Priest |
Was designed mainly as CC nerf, but it's still a Nomi/Spell Priest buff. Also, Evolve Shaman can now get this from evolving 10-Cost minions. Take that as you want. |
Surrender to Madness 2.0! Get 2 dead Keleseths, but pay 1 now and the other throughout the game! Probably still not nearly viable, but definitely much cooler. |
| Rogue |
Although you might be lucky enough to get Twig or Dragon Soul in Wild, that chance is shrinking with every new weapon, not to mention how ineffective this is in Standard. |
Theoretically, 5-Cost Gral is good as long as it eats a 3/4 or 4/3 or higher stated minion. So a 4-Cost Gral needs to eat a 2/3 or 3/2 or higher to be good. |
| Shaman |
Still bad, but hey, this wouldn't be realistic if there wasn't at least one badly thought-out change, now would it? |
Easily one of the least played and known cards of the set. By reducing the requirement, the card becomes a lot more accessible and easier to play at any point of the game. |
| Warlock |
A card occasionally used by Zoolock. Since Warlock sucks right now, having a better answer to big minions is fine. Best part is that it can now cost 0. |
Definitely the biggest buff of all, and Warlock could really use it right now. Unlike Luna's Pocket Galaxy, this gives you no value, but it can easily mess up your opponent's deck. |
| Warrior |
Rush Warrior isn't a great deck, and Spirit of the Rhino even there isn't worth a slot. With 0 Mana, it is much simpler to play Rush minions in the same turn, but it's still only good as a part of a bad deck. |
The only Dragon Warrior card that wasn't played. With almost vanilla stats it can give you better control to play those copies. And with DoD coming up, this might just become relevant. |
Thoughts are welcome!

I got it in a card pack but I’m a little conflicted if I should dust it or not. On one hand I don’t really play paladin and since it’s golden I could theoretically get the normal one in a pack as well. On the other hand it’s my first ever golden legendary from a card pack. If I were to dust it however are there any neutral/hunter legendaries I could craft? I don’t want any highlander cards as they are very meta-reliant and I feel would limit me in subsequent expansions.
For reference I already have: Leeroy Jenkins, Boommaster Flark, Zilliax, Zuljin and Cairne Bloodhoof.

With the recent nerf patch, here comes an opportunity for anyone who was around One Night in Karazhan era and claimed at least The Prologue, but havent bought the rest of the adventure yet, to jump on a great deal! If you buy first and second wing to get to Barnes, you can "buy" dust with gold at a premium rate at almost half its normal cost this way (compared to avg dust per pack).
If you want a simple explanation, think about it this way, you pay 1400 gold for a legendary (and a half) of your choice. Not a bad deal if you ask me.
Also, if you dont own any part of the adventure yet, the only option to get it is to use real money and buy the entire adventure - and you get an even sweeter deal for it! See calculation below.
Note: You must have reached at least rank 25 in Ranked Play to be able to open the adventure.

Buy 1st and 2nd wing with gold
Buy entire adventure for $20 (equivalent of '15 pack bundle')
And if you decide to keep any of the cards, the dust gain increases that much more. Only downside is, you have to play out the adventure to get the card rewards, but is that really a downside? The adventure is quite good!
edit: After some calculations, if i am right, you can actually get almost three times your money worth of the dust value, if you buy with real money. Damn. Everyone who can should probably buy this lol!
