Getting a free ping for every spell makes this a pretty great partner for Lock and Load as your payoffs for Spell Hunter

Violet Teacher, only half the price and the tokens have rush. If this spell based hunter deck becomes a thing, this will be one of the cornerstone pieces.

Very nice. Good stat line for cost, impactful effect and some beast synergy with the tokens. Even only getting a few triggers will be worth it.  Just give hunter a few more cheap spells and this guy will be very strong. 

It's not like this is sticking around forever, so you don't need to go out of your way to load up on spells.

I think you probably don't play it on curve unless you have to, but that's nice -- it's good to have cheap cards that get more value later in the game. Kinda like ranked spells!

This actually makes me want to build spell heavy hunter again

Think this effect would've been more fitting for a Priest class as a hunter card, eh.

More support for spell hunter... but it's relatively low impact. We have yet to see something outstanding for that archetype.

Small spell Hunter looking like it might have some potential. This seems like a decent payoff that can help with board control. RIP Rapid Fire though.

This is essentially a Violet Teacher but for half the cost and the tokens have rush. While Hunter doesn't have the wide board buffing potential to take advantage multiple tokens, the class does have beast synergies that work well with this like Scavenging Hyena. A Spell Hunter archetype seems to be forming with this, Barak Kodobane, and the return of Lock and Load in the core set, but I'm still skeptical of the archetype's consistency and ability to win games. What will the archetype do while it's waiting to get enough mana for their Lock and Load turn? Will a bunch of random Hunter cards generated in one or two turns be enough to win the game?

It's okay, I wonder if spell hunter will become a thing.

I mean I appreciate that they seem to be rather aggressively pushing the theme for hunter, that said these sort of decks either need to be hitting face a lot with spells or needs to have some full on board clears to further support a control game plan. I very much doubt we will be getting the latter and for now at least we have limited options for powerful cheap face damage. So with what we've seen I'm not all that convinced.

This will only be a good card in spell-heavy decks. Might need to see the rest of the expansion to judge how this can be used and what archetype it fits in best. It doesn't feel like a good Hunter card, even though the effect is good.

there ctrl stuff cards are not for hunter i think, card is okey but requires to play tons of stuff to make it good

Neat card, cool art, but Hunter just doesn't have the draw to support a Violet Teacher-like effect.

This is very good in a deck with Barak Kodobane and the low cost allows you to spam small spells and get tons of value. Soft taunt as well just like Phase Stalker

Probably one of the strongest Hunter cards in a long time.

It's kinda interesting for slower decks and for aggro matchups... mmmhhh...

This looks good, it has premium 2 drop stats and the 1/1s with rush can be quite helpful. But i'm not sold on it. Hunter doesn't have that many 1 cost spells after rotation, and unless they print some i'm not sure it will see play. It's also unfortunate that they printed this after Unseal the Vault is rotating as well.

I think it will see experimentation, but as long as it doesn't get enough support i don't think it will be that good YET. But once it does get some support in expansions after FitB it might be really good.

If it does get plenty of support, it might be a great card in some control/combo hunter deck in order to survive early game.

Edit: Oh and hunter needs some 2 drops after rotation, so it might as well see play in aggro/tempo/secret hunter just for th 2/3 statline. It has some potential, but i'm just not really seeing it yet.

A decent 2 drop with fine stats. 3 hp will help this stick on the board.

A good card in decks that need to have few beast in deck. Like that you can alway draw the beast you want with a specialized card adn still have a board before drawing it thanks to this kind of cards and spell that summon beasts.

So, I could use those cheap hyenas to feed the queen of hyenas Scavenging Hyena? Hihihihi!

We'll have to see more spells before this can be certified as problematic. On its own, its a decent card with an upside. But it will likely be slowed down by hunter's atrocious draws.

Its at least a better Violet Teacher for all that's worth. And in hunter, that's probably worth as much as an 8 year old's allowance.

A combo-ish value card that relies on Hunter having and drawing a bunch of cards. I think this hit the wrong class (like the DH deathrattle guy). Warrior likes this in the rush/aggro deck. 

crazy good with Scavenging Hyena. definately will try a spell heavy deck with these. maybe even secrets.

Tempo smorc smorc smorc, but less chargey! I think this will be fun with even just a few spells. Maybe we get to see a new spell hunter come about?

This would be the second card supporting a more spell focused hunter after Barak Kodobane. No idea if it will happen this expansion, but it's clear Blizzard is trying to make it happen.

Massively underrated card, does not need to be played in old spell hunter archetype at all, this is a new card in a new expansion, people being obsessed about old decks and not seeing potential new decks emerging are so irritating. Also it's a minion so why people even mention spell hunter is beyond me, this card clearly supports aggro/midrange decks with cards like Demon Companion, Adorable Infestation, Open the Cages, Tame Beast (Rank 1), Scavenging Hyena, Barak Kodobane, etc... Might even see the rise of Parade Leader

2 cost 2/3 that does nothing on turn 2, and on turn 3 requires a spell be played? Seem more a card for control deck rather an aggresive one. Of course it could be played later in combo with some spells to maintain the control of board

I really like this card. It's a much cheaper, much better Violet Teacher for a class that never really made use of these kinds of strategies before. It's incredibly powerful, and might just show up in aggressive lists because it threatens to turn spells into Rush minions. I would like to see some lists actually built around it, but that might be too much of a stretch.

Cool effect but I doubt the Lock and Load archetype will work. Generating a bunch of below average Hunter cards won't win you the game.

3 mana 1/3 weapon saw play for ages, this will definetily see play too.

Too slow but maybe secret hunter would work well.

Hunter has quite a few low cost spells to make this useful, especially with twinspell spells.  I think the biggest issue is running out of steam, but maybe the new hunter legendary will help compensate.

I'm gonna need to sit down and play with a lot of these new Spell Hunter cards before I totally understand what they're going for. Like, this is a nice bonus for additional spells... but is it enough to include it in your deck?

It’s certainly not a BAD bonus on a 2 2/3, but Hunters are so good at summoning 1/1 rushers that I can’t imagine this being exciting.
