For as long as video games have existed, players have been getting annoyed with them. Whether it's forgetting to save and losing all your progress, getting hopelessly lost in the Water Temple or plain old bad RNG, sometimes you need a place to vent.
This is a place for you to post about your frustrations with the game, whether that be your fifth loss in a row or a particularly bad pack opening. This is not a place to mock or otherwise antagonise other people - posting to try and get a rise out of people will get you warned.
While we'll be more lenient with allowing excessive f-bombs and the like here (and in fact I'd recommend them, nothing like a good swear to get the anger out), forum rules do still apply, and specifically calling out people is not allowed. This thread is for your frustrations with the game, not anything else.

So why the hell does Wildpaw Gnoll still count your Rogue cards as cards from another class just because you're a Rogue dressed as something else? Who even considered this as good design in the first place?

Well, it is consistent with other effects from the past and it is good design.
The problem is that Gnoll is a bit too cheap or has a bit too much stats. But I am glad that Gnoll exists and I like this mechanic.

I like Diablo being a "dual class" hero (and an outside IP character at that) in Duels. What I don't like is the insane fucking synergy that demon seed has with the claws hero power.
Demon seed needs to be nerfed heavily (or banned from Duels) because it's just too much of a warping factor, especially with Diablo around. It creates a situation where you can't even play big minions, because you actually help accelerate their quest completion.
I'm not trying to bitch for the sake of bitching, but the quest specifically with Diablo creates a polarizing situation where playing no-minions or going wide will cause you to lose. Playing big minions will....also cause you to lose, just faster.
I just really hate the Demon Seed as a mechanic as a whole, it circumvents a core mechanic, and should never have existed in the first place.
Also, since I'm ranting in this thread: Fuck Pirate Quest: I know it's low skill in both duels and standard, but I'm so sick and tired of seeing it. I'm sick of seeing cannoneer on turn 4, and I'm sick of highrolls with Smite/Gorehowl.
On the next rotation Blizzard needs to tone down the mana cheating, tone down the card draw, and bring back resource management and actual decisions. When 90% of your playerbase currently is just speedrunning through their deck for their quest completion/OTK/aggro curve without any consideration to resources (because they never have to worry about running out of cards) then there is a fundamental problem with the game.

Is it just me, or do all the Thief Rogues in Standard play like their brain is on a dial-up internet connection? It's like they think they are so clever and need to rope ever turn, even their turn 1 do nothing turn, to let their opponents bask in their cleverness. Even when they immediately trade their Cutlass and stay in disguise they sit there like "Do you think my opponent noticed?" Yes, and I also noticed that you don;t know where the End Turn button is!
This isn't even really an angry rant toward the deck itself, just the awful time wasting by so many fucking people! It's even better when Questline Warriors rope every turn, but at least that deck isn't being spammed all over Standard ladder right now.

It's not on people's radar only because it's been played in just one deck (HandLock). If Battleground Battlemaster will ever get more popular, Reddit won't miss the chance to cry about it.

My problem with Battlemaster is that it creates a situation where if you don't remove the opponent's entire board, you risk lethal. Just TWO 4/4's left on board is 16 damage if Battlemaster gets thrown down.
On a side note I'm here to rant about Mage in Duels. The Infinite Arcane signature treasure needs to be nerfed. It's anti-fatigue, and effectively perfect draws every turn. It needs to be "discover a spell from the pool of mage spells" so that way it still acts as anti-fatigue and can have synergies, but no longer lets you have infinite Mordresh and/or freeze.

shoutouts to blizzard for epicly nerfing the warrior and hunter questlines instead of just banning them from the format. one mini-set later and wild is still completely dominated by RNG warrior and cookie-clicker hunter is on the rise again, but apprentice decks were definitely the ones that needed to be hit the hardest. i legitimately have never seen a more incompetent balance team in any competitive game. wizards of the coast has made some notoriously bad balance decisions with MTG and even THEY would've had this solved by now.

What the fuck is the point of the board anymore. I try to play standard for once and complete the win 5 ranked games, so I queue up Quest Rogue because I have the cards for it. What. The. Fuck. I play against burn shaman, quest face hunter and kazakuzan warriors/druids and I genuinely have no idea how I'm supposed to win against these strategies. The SI:7 cards are so fucking slow and clunky to play, the 7 mana dude is useless because there is nothing to kill on my opponent's side. In fact playing minions is actually a fucking misplay against quest hunter, so what the hell is this deck supposed to do even. I can't even rely on cloak of shadows to bail me out because guess what Rag fireballs don't care about your board or whatever your hero has decided to wear that day and just deal 24 damage to my face. I genuinely have no idea how people even continue to play this game mode, it feels so fucking brainless now, like hur-dur let's just hope my opponent doesn't draw well. Why the fuck do people even play this game anymore.
Actually since I'm already writing this, why does Wyrmrest purifier allow people to get Hero Cards in Arena? It was like one of the last fun modes in the game and this shit is still allowed to happen. Also remove Raid Boss Onyxia from the mode, that card is actually an unstoppable force of nature that just insta-wins the match on the spot in arena, and guess what, it can be discovered multiple times thanks to all the dragons flying around right now

Getting quite sick of Druids having 11+ mana to play with. Not only is it broken AF, it takes ages while the gormless moron takes a whole turn to decide what to spend their never ending mana on.
Nerfs are required for Ramp Druid and Pirate Warrior (which has a more broken win-rate than Demon Hunter when it launched).
Time and time again, it seems that blizzard doesn't balance check many of their new cards, or that they're deliberately power creeping, and it's getting on my last nerves with this game.

Lady S'theno... No other 3 mana 2/4 in the game does 2 damage (or more with buffs) to the most easily killable enemy every time you play a spell, nevermind ALSO being immune during it's normal attack...
Even they admit this, unintentionally, with the core set last year, half of the cards were buffed in the transition from basic/classic to core. This does not even include the automatic "power" creep you get by just the existence of more synergistic cards being added in each expansion (what I like to call synergy creep)
We still have 30 health, hero health has not been buffed throughout the entire history of this game to catch up to the definite buff to damage per turn we have been getting every single year.
Please tell me someone else thinks this is not okay :(
how long do you think blizzard will let switcheroo priest destroy the game before they do something about it? like, at least kael'thas druid can be really easily disrupted with dirty rat/okani/hand transformation spells like savory delight + takes high apm and a bit of practice to execute consistently; switcheroo priest is somehow even easier and even more broken than questline hunter AND this time blizzard had all the time in the world to fix the darkness combo pre-release and didnt.

So I played 9 games tonight, Quest Hunter and Quest Warrior. I have won only 1 of those games, mostly getting absolutely destroyed by Mech Mage and Pirate Rogue.
I have a win rate of 11%.
With decks that even a monkey should get 40% win rate in.
Hearthstone hates me. It actively hates me.

Except I usually don't play those and also lose. So I get punished for not playing cursed decks. Great.
I sucked off the Filletfighter achievement by doing the wrong Mr. Smiite order. How long will it take to find an opponent who doesn't concede when I show lethal?
Play the filletfighter first. Most of the time once they see mr smite they know the game is over. If you drag fast enough the lag between players will allow you to execute the move even if the animation doesn't play.
I agree, Mr. Smite is pretty much like what Leeroy Jenkins was back in the day: if you see it coming down on the board, chances are you are dead and it's not worth playing out the game anymore.

Okay, so, I know that it's not a top tier deck or anything, but I'm seriously pissed off that Defend the Dwarven District has avoided the nerfs that have hit the other popular questlines.
Unlike the others, this gives you sizable permanent bonuses that synergize with your quest reward substantially. I'm so tired of seeing this stupid deck, and even more annoyed that rather than nerf it into oblivion like they did with the other popular quests, Blizz has chosen to do nothing.
I know that it's not the strongest, but it's a bigtime feelsbadman moment to go from 18 to 0 on turn 7. UUUAAAAGH! /salt

Just lost a game because on turn 10 the game decided to bug out and do that thing where my opponent no longer looks like they're playing cards and also their turn timer is actually infinitely long (at least visually on my end, and effectively never gives me my turn).
Obvious Disconnect, or something that broke.
By the time I got back in, it had skipped my turn.
I had lethal that turn if he wasn't allowed 20 mana to save himself. (Mecha-Shark combo, didn't have enough health on the board at the start of his next turn, which would have been the amount of health he had on the board during my turn, but because I wasn't allowed to attack with my minions and then he put more health on the board, I ended up not winning that game)
This game is actually broken. I've noticed opponents too "skipping their turns" more often than it should happen, lately, so I feel like this is an actual problem.
That control paladin deck that buffs their Mr. Smite in hand then OTKs you out of nowhere with a 65 attack charge minion is the greatest bullshit ever. I cannot believe that after everything how charge minions are bad for the game they create a card like mr. smite and then still allow it to exist as the most annoying card in standard. I cannot blame anyone for playing that card, I fully blame the designers and send a big "fuck you" their way.

Something similar happened to me yesterday, after 2-3 minutes with the game not responding, I could watch how my opponent played 4 turns in a row in a few seconds, while I has unable to do anything. Of course I was dead before my game responded. This was on PC.
Fortunately I have experienced this only once, I hope it doesn't happen again.

Why quest warrior get nerfed like a billion times
and quest hunter stays the same?
There is still too much off-board damage in the game. I just lost 3 straight games and took a combined 8 damage from minions attacking me, and some of that came from Lady S'theno. I took over 100 damage from weapon attacks, spells, Pufferfist and Defias Cannoneer.
This so much.
The game has always been a bit dumb but it a fun kind of dumb. Now it just caters to lowest of IQ players (because they're the majority and it makes more money) who just play whatever is in their hand with no thought to the board state whatsoever. Keywords like 'taunt' are currently worthless as the top decks right now literally don't have to think about it.

Mutanus the Devourer needs to be retired. It's not good enough that a game can go on for a long time and then suddenly your opponent pulls not just Mutanus but sometimes with Brann out of their ass and just makes the whole game pointless. At least with Rat you would mostly be 'ratted' quite early and you could end the game early. Now it's just a colossal waste of time as your (usually) idiot, misplaying moron of an opponent just presses the iwin button.

Roasting Naga Demon Hunter cards because I can't think of any other way to make myself feel better about losing to DHs who don't need to play well to win:
Dreadprison Glaive: I appreciate that Blizzard feels it's necessary to teach Demon Hunter players that they should be hitting minions instead of just brainlessly jamming into the face.
Multi-Strike: If I worked on Hearthstone, I would send daily memos to my coworkers, "Don't Give Demon Hunter Windfury." I would have no other responsibility in the company. I would work in HR, and any designer caught attempting to give Demon Hunter Windfury would have to attend a weekend seminar where all they would do is try to climb Standard Ladder against Demon Hunters with Multi-Strike. I would not have a salary, but would show up early every morning with a fresh batch of memos.
Predation: So apparently what Blizzard learned from Eye Beam is, "Make it hit face, too." And here I was thinking the lesson was "Don't make 'Deal 3 damage' Cost 0, you morons."
Kurtrus, Demon-Render: Blizzard decided that Bakuing the Hero Power wasn't good enough, so they made it refresh like Shadowreaper Anduin or Questline Hunter. I see nothing wrong with emulating some of the most broken strategies in the history of the game, this should all work out fine. I really enjoy fending off Demon Hunter's aggression, including an on-curve Drek'Thar, only to lose because my opponent has Lady S'theno and a couple of spells in hand. How nice for them. On top of that, they get to summon two X/4s with Rush, where X is the number most likely to frustrate their opponent.
Lady S'theno: Infinite Attacks to clear the board while also triggering Kurtrus' Hero Power? No, this is perfectly fine. This stupid garbage is so overtuned that Naga DH players are unironically running Archdruid Naralex for the 36% chance they hit Nightmare because Blizzard made this deck so easy to auto-pilot to wins that the players had to step in to make things a little bit more challenging for themselves.
Drek'Thar: HSReplay says that Drek'Thar has a 68% mulligan winrate, but "only" a 61% played winrate, so I'm going to spend the rest of the month trying to tell my Demon Hunter opponents that they're costing themselves 7% of a win every time they play Drek'Thar. Maybe it'll work.

When you're playing control and finally pushed the perfect amount of board pressure to win next turn but your opponent's The Juggernaut pulled the Gorehowl Mr. Smite combo for your opponent to burst you down.

More than half of my games (Standard) are vs. Control Warrior and I'm really tired of it. I do think that control decks should be viable in every meta, but spending a majority of my gaming time silently watching armor gain and board wipes to eventually die to a 1-mana Mr. Smite if I'm not fast enough is just tiresome.
...the other half is the damn warlock with curses or murlocs, then the op mech mage...

The HS team is full of a bunch of morons and I hate all of their decisions. Fuck the entire year of the Gryphon, literally killed Hearthstone. I can’t even enjoy playing the game now because of stupid cards made in that year. Curse of Agony, Jayce, Kazakuzan and fucking Cariel. All of them can go and fuck off

My stupid ass played in the arena and duels using a free pass and got 45 gold. Now I always have 45 gold left. Support can neither take 45 gold, nor give me 5 gold. I don't want to try to get the right amount of gold in the arena at all. Who even came up with such stupid awards?
Did anyone have a proof counter for Waygate Quest Mage? I'm tired of cursing so much from seeing them play their turn over and over again. So much worse than Solitaire deck in the past. That 8 card requirement is bullshit. They can coin and coin every f* turn. Not even aggro can do a thing because they can just tutor a 0 cost IceBlock to prevent death.
EDIT: And I've also tried Unseen Saboteur. Nope, it's not really a solution, because it's random, and they can play Waygate the same turn they finish the Quest.

First day of new expansion and my opponent is playing....*drumroll*.... Mill Rogue. Wow, talk about peak release day experience.
Also, I tricked that player 4 times with Suspicious Usher and got 0 achievement progress. HS and bugs, name a more iconic duo. But hey, since the expansion had a cool theme, they got a lot of money for it so hurray marketing department, you got a bonus! Shame it came right out of the QA budget but oh well, can't have money for everything, amirite?

Weirdly enough, I got a tick on that achievement without playing an usher but by guessing right when my opponent played one. Or guessing wrong, I went 1-1 with guesses in that game. So it’s probably working the other way around.
Some meta rants:
The abbreviation for the new Druid deck is D Druid, because you probably have to be a massive dickhead to play this deck.
Quest Hunter has not been nerfed whatsoever, because we all know people who play this deck can only count up to 2, and any higher would be confusing for them.
People who play Imp Warlock probably only like to play a deck with minions the same size as their dick.

I always disliked playing against quest-lines (particularly hunter, mage, and priest) but Renathal has made it much worse. I think Renathal should not exist in standard alongside any form of quest deck, because playing against a quest deck often comes down to killing them asap and Renathal makes that significantly harder. However, the increased deck size and hence inconsistency in draws is almost completely negated by the quest starting in hand.
My impressions of the overall meta;
High-rolling has become more important, off-board damage is too high (Brann and/or Kaelthas are big problems there, as well as Macaw in shaman), there are a lot of freeze effects, and the disruption tools that are available (Mutanus and Theotar) have massive elements of luck to them and I am fed up of games being decided by luck. Sure , I can influence the luck but ultimately games are still decided by a roll of a die.

II Had bran theotar,, dint ever get the option to steal the denathrius or brann he had in hand all game long, i dont even like theotar AT ALL, but you gotta incldue him ro else you auto loose pretty much always vs Denathrius in this awfull Meta
Ive generly palyed wild, but i think wildl has been terrible for quite some time now, so i tried standard with new expansion.
I had actully some god dam fun again in HS before the patch, and im getting beyond sick and tired of this i can babrly stand doign my dailies with how muich i hate the meta now. Like if wanted a terrible experience id go play wild
but hey leave it to blizzard top make evrythign worse after 22 buffs

Quest-line priest needs to be removed. It if so infuriating to play against. I have been playing a mi'da priest deck, which I know is bad but can be fun. Matched up against a quest-line priest. I know I won't be able to kill them before they finish their quest so my only chance is to steal the quest reward with Theotar.
To that end, I play both copies of Identity Thief and manage to get an extra Theotar, which I needed when their Theotar stole my original (had 9 cards in hand and 2 copies of Theotar). I have drawn my entire deck before they finish their quest, and I am keeping a copy of Drown and one charge of my location in case Theotar misses.
They complete their quest and now have 7 cards in hand. I play Theotar and it misses. Okay, back-up plan. Drown Xyrella, use my location to draw Xyrella, play it, and silence their minions because they draw cards. I only need to avoid them drawing it at the start of their turn and I will win with my own shard next turn. They have 11 cards remaining in their deck, so I now have a 91% chance to win. They draw their shard and win.
From now on I am conceding on turn 1 against any quest-line deck because I am so sick of them all.
Well it’s been fun everyone, but as long as Theotar remains in the current state he is in, I’m going on a long HS break.
I hope whoever designed him eats shit and dies, and see you all in 2 years when he rotates out of standard

the decision to print denathrius and theotar in the same standard is one of the worst blizzard has ever made in regards to hearthstone. one of the strongest late-game cards ever printed paired with the most broken hand disruption in the game with literally ZERO counterplay whatsoever. it is unbelievable how many games in legend boil down to who can theotar the best card from their opponent's hand or manage to keep the best card from being theotar'd. theotar should've never been printed; id feel infinitely more satisfied losing to denathrius every game than i would having every match be a non-game decided by what 3 random cards theotar picks. it doesnt even feel good to get a free win with theotar, it just makes me feel like an asshole. nerf did absolutely nothing btw

Man i love this new expansion, these new cards and decks are a lot of fu-- *Get's OTKd from full HP by Hunter on turn 6*
The only way to deal with that deck is either: "Just SMOrc before they can OTK", "Infinite Freeze their face somehow" and "Snipe Brann" And sniping brann only slows down their deck a little bit, you will still get OTKd at some point.
Honestly facing this hunter deck makes me feel like i'm back in the United In Stormwind meta again, and i hate it!
RNG is only fun as long as there is a 50/50 chance of getting something really good or trash level of bad. If RNG always results in something good, then it's not fun.
