Hi all,
I just wanted to say that I'm super excited for the new expansion. I have nobody to tell and my girlfriend just nods and says that's good when I try and tell her about the new rogue quest.

Hi all,

I've loved it so much that I made a thread about it. But let's stay here instead of there. So I would like to hear everyone else if they love expansion or not.
I'm not being excited by the way, I'm also wanted to try every class for the very first time! There are so many good cards, if not, they are way better than many expansions as this expansion has at least more playable cards than other sets.
Lol .. I'm not really into the quests but I saw some fun cards to try and build around, even among the neutrals.
Also the new Brann intro is gorgeous - the epic quote, the Whips, the Krush !
Magni's Brother as a hero when?
ARES summons Erymanthian Huffer.
ARES declares attack with Huffer .
Adonis' hp reached 0. ARES wins!
Its the first time in at least two years (i play since beta) that i feel hyped about a new expansion. Not only because of the high power level cards that are coming, but also because of the good design of them. And i have to admit that this is a general feeling I've been having since Year of the Raven begun. I really enjoyed RoS meta. Seems like developers try to work more and put more effort and attention on keeping the game fresh than the older T5 did (hofing cards, buffing cards, mid-expansion new cards etc).
Overall, for me, hearthstone feels like its breathing again.
I cant believe im saying this but i actually cant wait for Tuesday!
-Edit: I also needed to add that I love OOC. Beeing a member of Hearthpwn since always i was fed up with the salt and the meaningless threads everyday. Also OOC is much much better coded.
I am also very excited and ready to try out a lot of new cards and decks. I will probably start with mage (since I am a big mage fan) but Priest legendary and the Druid quest also look very interesting. On ladder half of your games will probably still be against Bomb Warrior since that ruines all reno decks and there will always be ppl who try to spoil other ones fun instead of trying to have fun for themselves.
I'm pretty hyped actually. Looking forward to abusing the Linecracker BEEEES!!! combo in Singleton Druid along with some Supreme Archaeology shenanigans.
Hoping to get a complete collection from 250 packs without spending any of my saved Dust.
Cocked, locked and ready to rock...
Yup, i am looking forward to this set very much. I will probably craft the rogue quest golden on launch day, so i feel you :D

I am hyped about wild highlander driud. Dunno why, but sounds fun. And Elise... <3
Also I'm hyped about this "transform all minions into murlocs" card. I think, this card alone can give big priest a very hard time. Much more even than devolve.
The priest and rogue cards appeal to me a lot so that's what i am most excited about. Especially want to try sime kind of resurrect priest with reborn . Then there's mage; casino decks are fun. So many things i want to try that i'll have a tough time deciding come launch!

Yeah, a lot of cool cards coming. I've never played much priest before but I'm kinda excited about the new priest quest, gonna try that one out for sure.
This is a very Johnny set. People are looking at the high impact cards. I'm looking at the quests and going "I want to try to make them ALL work!" My Muck Shaman has new things to play with like Blatant Decoy, and Mischief Maker would fit in my combo nuking deck.
And I'm so SO hoping someone figures out a way to amek Desert Obelisk to work.
Also VERY curious about a heal/revive priest. Everyone keeps thinking about Injured blademaster for heal synergy but not really thinking about how constantly bringing back a 4/7 is very *VERY* painful, especially when not nuking that 7 health means it'll get healed back up fast.
So yeah, good days.
Why trade with minions when you can face for...billions?
As someone who started playing HS well after Un'goro and never had the dust to craft the quests during the Year of the Raven, I'm really excited to finally be able to play some Quests! Thinking about changing my username to Questing Adventurer for next few months...
Not excited at all about this expansion. I main Pally/Priest and ROS was pretty bad for standard Priest, so some of this is salt.
This expansion for Pally players is absolutely awful. I've been playing since GVG was released and this is the first expansion I'm passing on.
Put Your Faith In The Light.
Does the priest quest not make you even slightly excited? :( I

The point of every expansion is to get people excited. That's why they have a marketing department.
Personally no, i'm not even a bit excited because I can see beyond the veil. Same things over and over again, with a different forced meta to "keep the game fresh". Meanwhile, the interface still sucks, there will probably be some stupid powercreep no one thought about (or did...), the best decks are already guessed, etc.
We'll see how much excitement there is after 1 month or so. If some people enjoy that, sure. To each their own. I'd rather play something that has true replayability.
Put Your Faith In The Light.
It's actually pretty hard to pull off. I played Heal Paladin when it was easier for them to heal than priests and I'll state that it's pretty darn hard to get 10 points of healing done. This is 15 on a class not known for being tempo oriented. Then they give you a hero power that's extremely tempo oriented. And none of these cards are win conditions. Doing 'cool things' does not a winning deck make.
Not saying it's bad. But it's not going to be easy to find the great priest deck.
I was writing that other post earlier and was looking over the cards to pick out which ones I get cool ideas for. I went over to Paladin and literally felt my hype fall. There's classes like mage and druid that are in "oh I see what to do here, but I don't like it." There's stuff like priest that's "I can't see what I can do with this, but I want to try." And stuff like Rogue or Warlock that's "OMG I WANTS ALL OF THIS!"
Paladin I literally wish I could UNSEE their cards. I actually think I would be more hype for the class if they literally didn't release any cards. I am NOT #()$#(0 kidding. I'm looking at the neutral cards and going "hmm, ther's a card that heals minions and reborn... I could use that in heal paladin. Then I look at the class cards and go "WTF am I supposed to DO with this!? 8 mana mass murloc summon with no murloc synergy!? a ()$##@)( load of 1 health crap that aren't mechs, aren't reborn, arn't murlocs, can't be healed, aren't spells, aren't secrets... WTF AM I SUPPOSED TO DO WITH THIS!?
Then I run to Rogue and cry on her shoulder.
I'm fine in the end since I abandoned Paladin for Shaman during RoS, because Muck is abusive, and I'm hype for more excuses to try to make Tess Rogue a thing some more and I have no clue what I want to do with Warlock but I want to do all of it.
But if you're maining Priest you're very afraid. If you're maining Paladin you are probably trying to make a time machine so you can delete the files for Warcraft 2 before it releases so that you can pay Blizzard back for making every day of your life a living HELL.
Why trade with minions when you can face for...billions?
I'm extremely excited for this expansion. I hope there's a fair power spread, because nothing take the wind out of your sails like watching one card or one class dominate the early meta (or the rest of the meta, for that matter).
I'm stoked on trying my deck ideas out and seeing what shapes up!
Rage quitting: the best way to ensure your opponent knows they beat a giant baby.
This is probably one of the expansions I've been most hyped to play. The deck-building pre-release streams kinda kill that hype for me a bit, but I'm still really excited. A lot of decks seem very strong, and the themes of the expansion are some of my favourites.
Can't wait to play Shaman, Warrior, and, maybe, Mage, Priest and Paladin.
I'm very pumped, and many cards seem promising. Can't wait for August 6!

I seeeriously hope i can drop Zephrys the Great in packs. It's a card i'd really want to try, but given my Wild commitment, I'm also scared it might be a waste of dust. So dropping it would be the best occurrency, leaving me with more dust for other crafts. On the other hand, there's no expensive safe craft for my Wild purposes, so all in all, it might still be a win-win situation for me...
As for the rest, it's been a while I don't play Standard, and I feel the new expansion is gonna carry so much change as to lure me there trying some decks, ie I'd love to try Quest Druid, Priest, Rogue (and then try and adjust them for Wild too).
This set has some good flavour
Entropy#21191
I'm really hyped with this new expansion. About standard, not so much (because I think it will be only Warriors and mages all over again), but in Wild there are lots of cards that can fit old archetypes, like the warrior minion that copies a damaged friend, the plague of murlocs (only to screw with Big Priests when they greet you just because they had Barnes in the opening hand). Also I'm enjoying playing a shadow/zoo priest, in which I think the new Holy Ripple will be very useful against aggro decks.
These are only a few examples, but overall, I'm very excited!!
I'm really excited about the major shake up this set should bring to the arena meta. That comes with a reasonable fear that Paladin will be horrible to play against with Spikeridged Steed coming back and the new Pharaoh's Blessing to double down on that horror.
Now you kids are probably saying to yourselves, "Hey Matt, how can we get back on the right track?"
Zephrys single-handedly turned my hype-meter from very basic "it's cool to get some new cards again" to "give me the new cards (or at least Zephrys) already!".
Hell yes. The flavor is fantastic, and the Warrior, Shaman, and Druid quests have me excited for the decks they'll spawn.
Plague of Murlocs alone makes me happy at the thought of grown women/men raging after getting their Big Priest decks steamrolled by that one card.
I would have been excited if blizz had done a good mass removal for hunter/rogue. thats the only thing i yearn for. I know class identity.... but come on... let there be a REAL Control Hunter/Rogue archtype... just once... :(
Plague of Madness is nothing but a laughing stock to me....
Zephrys has at least been like an equalizer in regards to my disappointment.
Glad to see so many people are excited. I knew there would be a few negative Nancy’s Nemsy’s.
I’m counting down the days as we speak. My girlfriend seems unimpressed with the price of thepreorder. I don’t think she understands true value for money. A regular quote from her ladyship: ‘that could have been spent on X’.
(Replace X with random household item, for example: bread bin).
EU - TotemBiS#2281
I feel you, if my wife knew how much I'm spending on pixels in a children's card game I think I'd have to spend the rest of my life in the dog house.
It took me a little while but that reveal stream and card dump really won me over! Tell your girlfriend if the bread bin isn't golden and of at least epic quality, then it isn't worth it.
The truth is... I'm super excited and can't wait for the f..king release!!! :D :D :D The expansion doesn't seem to be perfect (which is understable in the end... that would be too much to ask to anyone...) but it seems to be a very good one overall!!! :D :D :D
OP: Are you excited?
OOC: GET HYPED!!!
Meanwhile, over at HP :
no!
:)
Hyped for Zephyrs as well
I'm quite excited as long as there's decks that can outvalue warrior. I feel like control and bomb warrior might be the only thing that could dampen my spirits, but I remain optimistic.
i am so excited, and fuck yea im gonna wake up at 4am for this (AUS)
I want all legendaries this type.. Except May be colossus of moon
I go to bed early so that the days are shorter until release day!
Winner winner chicken dinner
Are you trying to get me killed? I did laugh though.

LOL, I have to admit Hooghout's silliness and negative comments about this expansion on Hearthpwn kinda influenced me to post positively on this thread. :P
Pretty hyped to start playing with these cards tomorrow. First set that i am going into with all 9 classes gold so that won't influence what i want to play anymore. The guaranteed golden legendaries of the pre-orders are a nice bonus, but i can only hope they are ones i will play. I think i will be toying with Priest and Paladin first followed by Rogue and Mage. Going to be a fun week.

I already took 2 days of vacation leave.
Will wake up 2am in the morning later.
I feel forever confined by the 'I should play a class I don't have golden' mentality. But Rogue will definitely be my first attempt, I speculate the current desk lists require minimal modification. Which may seem boring but I'm adamant to prove my theory correct.

On the very release day i am pretty excited, although as a Wild player i am really baffled at what should be my instacraft.
I am used to at least one instacraft every expansion, to secure the card or cards i'm sure i'll deckbuild around.
But this time there are tons of seriously interesting cards for newish plays and archetypes, that may not really survive the Wild meta, hence turning into a kind of waste of dust...
I guess for once i'll pray for RNGesus to make me drop the interesting cards, and start crafting only later on.
I feel like the hype will die down about 4 days into the expansion when it becomes apparent that Mage, Warrior, and Shaman just get to do whatever they want while everyone else just doesn't make the cut.
Then the nerfs come and everyone will rejoice until we figure out the next jack of all trades
Yeah honestly to me the hype died when I realized that even if Mad Genius gets nerfed Bomb Warrior will just replace it as the go to control Warrior deck which effectively makes Highlander decks unplayable and with that the only thing that looks remotely comparable in power level is Quest Shaman (which everyone's gonna get tired of vvery soon after we find out that a deck that starts off strong and never falls off isn't very fun to fight)
I tried having fun once.
It was awful.
All this excitement is making me feel very glad I ended up buying the pre order!
I've been here a while; just hanging out in the background.
So far im pretty excited!
I realy like the new cards and mechanics - and the flavour of the Expansion!
Can't wait to mess around with new stuff!
Challenge me ... when you're ready to duel a god!
Hyped! Can’t wait to try out new cards in both Standard and Wild. Crazy Quest meta incoming!
.
I opened my Pre order during a Fireside Gathering and guess what my first legendary was? That's right.... A Golden Colossus of the Moon
At least Recruit Warrior is still a thing on the Wild Ladder. Kind of... 😬
Cocked, locked and ready to rock...
Not so much anymore because certain people got to play already with the new cards, I'm already tired of this expansion and ready for the next.
The game needs something extra than "new" cards and "new" mechanics.
I'm excited because of those reasons:
-I just want to find a good Druid deck in a wild, that isn't Jade Druid. I think that new Quest Druid in wild can be that deck.
-Upgrade to a Quest Warrior in Wild. Wonder if it will make the deck good against Big Priest.
-Some legendaries that synergyze with Lady in White.
-Better Yogg for Mage.
-Zephrys and Tekahm look great in Warlock. Hope to test them out.
