what's funny is that Flux actually tried to buy the hearthpwn site so it could be kept alive but was told it wasn't for sale. lmao, and guess what......they sold it to someone else anyway, dick move tbh.

I just saw that. What does it mean for this website then? I was getting excited about this fresh new start and everything. Is it canceled now? I hope not.

We don't know if the figures offered by Flux and Magic Find were contestable with each other. It's too soon to judge.

While it is nice that the current Hearthpwn content may not be lost I think that outof.cards will still be the first place I will look when it comes to Hearthstone content and here is why:

- We already know the team, especially Flux, and their passion of the game which will be heavily reflected in the work of this homepage

- A fresh beginning is always better than to try to fix "old" stuff, and the website of Hearthpwn is really "old"

- The community has more possibilities to engage in a new website, while on Hearthpwn there will be the "old hardliners" who want to keep Hearthpwn the way that they know the site and on the other hand the rebells who want Hearthpwn to be a new thing and split community will not have the powerful synergies like a united community we have on outof.cards

Magic Find also bought other Curse/Fandom sites, i.e. https://www.mmo-champion.com so probably they couldn't dismember the package to different parties. Looks simple as that, but let's wait to see Flux's pov

Though I'm glad that Hearthpwn is going to live on, the way it went down felt wrong to me. So now I'm here I guess lol.

I was hoping you would stay at hearthpwn... Did your first account (ThePlan or whatever) get banned already? That's got to be a record.

I think if you are/were a keen follower of Hearthpwn you should address a simple question:

What was it that you enjoyed most about Hearthpwn?

Then think about the following points:

• All of the moderator content once at Hearthpwn will now be created here at Out of Cards.

• Many, nearly all, of the community have made the move to Out of Cards. This will be where the banter is at.

• This site is not endorsed by a corporate company and is funded and created by true fans of Hearthstone.

• In the future this site intends to reach out to ther card gaming communities so if you play alternative cards games... two birds, one Hearthstone. 

People you all know that o\you just can use heartpwn and out of card 
its not a battle there can be more then 1 site and what ever happens with heartpwn in the future without flux and his staff there was no hpwn at all as we known  

i am really excited to see what both sites gonna bring !!

I got used to OOC and i think i like it much more than Hearthpwn already and its owned by the same guys that made Hearthpwn what it was so im staying here for the moment.

Also i remember them saying that they wouldnt sell Hearthpwn when they tried to buy it and now the selling it? 

I'll still check Hearthpwn from time to time, but will make outof.cards my new main hearthstone news source and whatnot.

Bad news for outof.cards. There is no reason to split a user  base so I will just go back to Hearthpwn. I'll check back here once in a while but lets be quite honest and frank...

1. Hearthpwn is an already established community with many users

2. The need of this website is not as direly needed as it was before

3. The traffic of this website never picked up and I was hoping it would when Hearthpwn went down

About 99% of us were hearthpwn users, there is no reason to continue using this website. I really like outof.cards but I live in the realm of reality and I'm not going to say outof.cards is promising. But you never know, maybe the new owner of Hearthpwn really messes it up. Very happy Hearthpwn is staying around, I am not happy of how Flux and the team got stabbed in the back. It all depends on how everything goes. I pick unity over siding with great moderators. This game requires large volumes of input from many users. You are only lying to yourself saying most of the community moved here, it didn't, it's still at Hearthpwn.

I hope Flux gets his day in the end of all of this.

OOC still has a small community, and maybe it won't grow as much as i wish, but HP's destiny was handled too badly by their owners, that i don't feel like committing to there anymore.

Also, a large portion of HP forum content was just salty stuff of newish users who never really committed to the community: that may generate more activity, but half of the forum was turned into a huge salty thread, and people bashing each other more often than i like.

Finally, i am a half-time mobile user, and HP was incredibly bad at that, with scams,  redirects, and slow loading pages. That's something i am not willing to tolerate anymore.

So unless OOC fails to have its proper flourishing, i am not going back to HP. Nor am i willing to spend my time on two sites supposed to be redundant with each other.

On a more practical side, should we have our own OOC wiki? To try and become the main Nexus for anything HS?

Honestly, the main reason I used Hearthpwn was for the news announcements, guides, deck highlights, and occasionally the card design competitions. All of these are largely mod-driven (even things like winning decklists were often taken by mods from elsewhere and reproduced on Hearthpwn), so I will probably be sticking with OOC from now on unless the new owners of Hearthpwn somehow do a better job at implementing those aspects (which I doubt will be the case).

OOC is obviously going to face an initial hurdle in the fact that Hearthpwn is the established site, but I'm confident it's only a matter of time before they lose that advantage. This site is brand spanking new and it's already at least on par with Hpwn in terms of functionality, with regular updates and a highly responsive administration promising more improvements in the future.

What about an open partnership with Vicious Syndicate?

Somethink like both sites linking to each other and highlighting main Articles/Guides and Reports.

They have the professional content, we have a productive and growing community. They could help us with more traffic and we could help feed their trackers.

If you look at this more logically it doesn't make as much sense to commit to Hearthpwn again. Sure, "new owners" and everything, but how are you, as an everyday user, really going to prevent the new head honchos upstairs from making a similar decision to shutdown or restrict users on the site again in the future? With OoC you have a very active opportunity to support the website's maintenance & direction directly, which means your future here is much more stable than on Hearthpwn.

Not to mention that only one of the two sites is a corporate profit venture.  With corporations, profit is the product, and the purported product is only a means to an end and is therefore invested in as little possible to reach that end.  Look at the airlines, the experience is terrible, universally reviled, but they sell tickets so that's how it goes.

There's a poll about which site people want to use and somehow OOC is currently winning despite the poll being hosted on HP.  Color me surprised; I wouldn't have thought such an overwhelming majority would come over simply because reading is hard

I'm no lawyer but wouldn't it be hilarious if the new owners could somehow peruse legal action against Curse after all this?  They basically shat on the site so hard that over half of the active users left right before Magic Find took control

What I also find quite funny is that hearthpwn is already having problems as the site is down right now and I currently can't access it. haha, not sure if it's currently down and not working for everyone but I found it quite amusing.

You do realize that Flux is looking to make an income here, right? What he does is to bring over people and have enough traffic that revenue is generated whether it is through ad dollars or donations. Your statement would be correct if he did this purely for the community but like any website it is there for revenue to support it and also the person behind it. That's not a bad thing at all. Nothing wrong with wanting to make money off of a website and why they are all out there. I

You know? I like the competition. This is a reason more to post here my decklist. I just hope more will follow.

I really dislike when people don't recognize the work of other people. I remember how many thread on Heartpwn had that pink/violet deathwing on them. It remember a thing that happened to me some years ago on my old site. I really dislike this kind of people.

I'm strictly mobile and OOC is much more mobile friendly. 

I mostly lurked on Hpwn but I've since made OOC my new home.
