  • Questing in Stormwind - Better Understanding Hunter's Defend the Dwarven District Legendary Questline

Slate is very interesting for this type of deck. He works ludicrously well with some of the removal we are running, like Explosive Trap and Bola Shot but ultimately, I feel like having a free hero power that can just ping things off just makes running him a bit pointless. I do think there is a home for him in some type of this quest, especially in wild where you have cards like Rapid Fire, but I'm personally just not a fan of running cards that need to synergize with other cards in order to feel good in a class that, atleast in standard right now, does not have the ability to pick and choose cards from their deck.

I'd personally remove the Mystery Winner, Explosive Trap and Bola Shot, in favor of Entrapped Sorceress, Encumbered Pack Mule, 1x Rustrot Viper, and 1x Death's Head Cultist.

Maybe remove Piercing Shot for Overwhelm instead.

Put simply, there's more than enough fuel for the quest to finish around turn 5-7, bearing in mind that the 1st and 2nd reward will allow for some amount of control, and will reliably finish on turn 4-5. The main problem is staying alive, not the late game. I've a good feeling that we'll be seeing plenty of spell mages, shaman, druid and paladin on day 1, and I really dont think this deck can get away without including some semblance of a board or taunts.

Rustrot Viper is a flex. Its mostly because I think if shaman gets Doomhammer out you might as well just concede.

  • New Warrior Minion - Cowardly Grunt

Big Warrior support... And I don't think Big Warrior even wants this because it's a lackluster result out of Commencement.

Nope not Benedictus, because you get Benedictus for owning all legendaries (including himself which is a bit stupid), so he is not refunded

I'm very excited to play hunter on the next week!

What about Professor Slate ? I always thougth about beeing a good card but not for hunter, this is an archetype that I can see him running

Lock and Load will definitely need to be run in this deck to create more resources. Hunter doesn’t have enough spells to make this quest reward worthwhile otherwise

They're not fully comparable, but I think it's funny that Zul'jin's only upgrade to the Hero Power is that you can target minions without requiring something like Dwarven Sharpshooter, whereas you can readily earn that here with the Questline...as step 1. They really put all of his power-budget into the Battlecry lol

Hell you could almost play the Questline as sort of a "would be nice if I set the whole thing off, but it's not the main plan" type of situation. Just grabbing the earlier rewards, without relying on Tavish; a package to some other control-ing archetype, maybe?

  • New Warrior Minion - Stormwind Freebooter

Decent tempo, and sometimes that's all a card needs to be for a deck. A bit boring though.

  • How to Create a Private Fireside Gathering to Open Card Packs for a New Hearthstone Expansion - TITANS

I believe this is the case with Benedictus, and golden prestor too if you’re lucky enough.

  • New Warrior Minion - Harbor Scamp

Decent Quest support, could also run them just to tutor Sword Eater or Anchorman in some other deck.

  • New Neutral Minion - Package Runner

I don't think Handlock even wants this. Silence Priest is just a meme without Inner Fire.

When I was first theorycrafting this list, I actually had a Lock and Load in it. I messed around with it back when the card first came out in TGT and it felt ok, so I wanted to do a bit of playtesting with it now and see if its changed at all. The biggest issue with the card is that more often than not it just gives you clunky garbage, which usually wouldn't be bad given that with the finished questline Hero Power, we can make most of the garbage into additional damage. However, Lock and Load also gives creatures, which is generally bad.

Hunter has a fairly even split of creatures to spells, giving you a 44% chance to hit a spell off of Lock and Load. These spells will have an average mana cost of 2.71, (possibly 2.65, if Lock and Load can generate itself, which I don't think it can) which is decent, but theres still just too much whiff potential. If you were to have 2 spells in hand, the chances of getting 2 spells is only 20% and in my opinion, the consistency of things like Resizing Pouch outweighs the potential highroll of Lock and Load.

That being said, I'd love it if this archetype gets refined, Lock and Load can sneak its way into the list. The card is very fun to play around with.

  • New Warlock Minion - Entitled Customer

Nice, I think it enables handlock again :D

  • New Warlock Minion - Entitled Customer

Insane Boardclear with a body  -> This must be included in every Control WL.

  • New Hunter Minion - Stormwind Piper

While this card has no rush, remember that Hunter has access not only to [Hearthstone Card (Broomstick) Not Found], but also [Hearthstone Card (Trueaim Bow) Not Found] and Devouring Swarm. Will this suffice? I do not think so, but less because of this card not having rush but the trickiness of sticking a wide board of beasts that curves well into this card. Sin'dorei Scentfinder and Rodent Nest require effort to pull off as well and that just asks for too much.

  • New Warrior Minion - Stormwind Freebooter

Similar to Scalerider, which saw play. A bit less flexible but it also has no condition. Yes, this is a solid card.

  • New Warrior Minion - Harbor Scamp

Overstatted card, especially if you consider the tutor. This is bonkers in any deck that runs pirates.

  • New Shaman Minion - Canal Slogger

Elemental Shaman has it all. Aggression, removal, manacheat and healing. The deck can take whichever direction it wants and there is noone to stop it. Besides, this card is pretty much required in Quest Shaman to both survive until the quest completion and enhance the quest.

Ok i guess i have to rework my card are little - overall it is fine but a few people said it has not enough Tradeable flavour.

    I mean the OP said:

You must create a card with Tradeable, or that synergises with the Tradeable mechanic

    • We're looking for direct synergies like Auctioneer Jaxon, not something more tangential.

I mean it is a Tradeable card - the OP said make this or that not both … but i guess if it will hurt my rating im going to rework it.

    Edit:

    Here is my first rework:

Hopefully it now has enough Tradeable Flavour :) - even tough im not sure if it is not too strong now - maybe get rid of the Immune? … also had the Idea that whenever this gets traded that the Attack will increase or something like that.

That's not what I meant by "Tradeable flavor". What I mean by "Tradeable flavor" is that most cards with Tradeable represent some aspect of acquisition whether it be something that acquire (such as Heavy Plate, Fire Sale, or Imported Tarantula) or a person that you acquire the item from (such as Impatient Shopkeep, Persistent Peddler, or Shady Bartender). Some of these are a little bit more broad when it comes to their theme of acquisition like City Tax or Overdraft, but the flavor idea is still there. You can argue some exceptions may exist, but for the most part, Tradeable cards all share this style of flavor.

Your card lacks Tradeable flavor because it doesn't have the flavor of acquisition that existing Tradeable cards have. It's not an item or service to buy, or a person who would offer that item or service. It's just a big hulking demon. Is he going to trade his axe with you? Is that why your hero gets the +1 Attack from when you Trade him? I could reasonably buy that, but the general flavor of the card doesn't make this too apparent. It would do a better job if the card had different art or even just a different name to suggest that he's a demonic ally who can trade weapons with you.

And I also agree with AeroJulwin. Another problem with the card is that the only reason you'd ever use it is just to use its on-Trade effect since you would never want to play a 5 mana 4/4 with no other effect. I like Tradeable cards that have a bonus effect when Traded, but there should probably also be a reason to actually play the card as opposed to just using it for trading.

  • New Hunter Spell - Devouring Swarm

This is basically giving rush to all of your minions or windfury, if they can already attack and "draws" cards, while being some sort of hardremoval. This card will shine in Deathrattle Hunter, Rat Hunter, Boar Hunter and as a random discover in other decks. 0 Mana Spells are also great fodder for the quest, Kolkar and Lock and Load.

  • New Neutral Minion - Pandaren Importer

Worse Scorpid. You only discover "bad" cards. I also do not see this in normal priest decks due to screwing up Raise Dead. Shadow Priest might want it though, to get access to certain holy spells.

  • New Hunter Spell - Devouring Swarm

    Elwynn Boar support.

    Reno Hunter support.

    Deathrattle Hunter support.

Even synergises with the questline being at 0 mana, great card overall.

  • New Shaman Minion - Canal Slogger

Wow, now the Elemental package receives healing also. I guess Elemental Shaman will stick around for at least another expansion, which I like though!

  • New Warrior Minion - Harbor Scamp

2 mana 2/2 draw something you need.

    Excellent card for the archetype.

  • New Warrior Minion - Stormwind Freebooter

Tempo card for a quick deck in a strong archetype.

There's gonna be a lot of new "Yahar!" this expansion.
