Is there a site with good arts for cards? Tell me someone, please (:
Often times, just typing "_________ fantasy art" into Google will get you results. It may take a few retypings, but eventually, you should get something.
You can also look on websites like Artstation, or look at art from other games if the art style is similar enough.
The way Arcane Quartermaster would work is that when you play a Pirate, it triggers "when you cast a Spell" effects and Pirates in your deck don't count as minions, allowing you to play pirates in a no minions mage deck. Portal Captain is a more intuitive version of this, but has the important difference of allowing you to use Pirates as 0 Mana Spells to help trigger effects like Gadgetzan Auctioneer. I think this would be balanced out by the fact that pirates are generally not very powerful cards in mage.
Start of Game on a non-Legendary minion in this instance doesn't really make sense since there wouldn't be a reason to ever run 2 of them because their effects don't stack and no matter what, it would just happen anyway.
I do also kinda like the idea of Portal Captain. That said, both that card and Arcane Quartermaster both don't look anything like Pirates, and it feels like the Pirate tag is just there so it can be there.
I haven't made any Pirate cards prior to this competition. So I went to the internet, collected some cool arts, and made these two cards. What do you think?
I am not too sure on the Balance of Davy Jones. Is it too slow? Is it too hard to deal with? Are the stats/cost good?
Nice pirate theme-ing you've done. I'd say Davy Jones seems OP since he's basically 7 mana for an 8/4 + a 5/8 with Stealth (which can effectively be permanent Stealth like Akama since it happens at the end of each of your turns). The token is also missing the watermark.
I actually quite like the balance of Orc Raider, although I'm not sure if it looks "piratey" enough or not.
First idea. I should have been making cards for my theme ideas to prepare! haha
Pretty unsure on balance on this. Thinking maybe 5 mana.
I don't think "friendly" is necessary. Following cards like Totem Cruncher or Wailing Soul, it should just say "your other Pirates".
The random Demons effect seems way too high-rolly for my taste as well. Get a bunch of small Imp-like minions, or huge bulking Demons. Or you get some Dormant ones which may be powerful later, but don't do anything for 2 turns.
As I noted before, I really like your card. It's slightly weird to see a defensive-statted Rush minion, but that doesn't mean it's a bad thing. It's just different.
Would you believe me if I told that there are actually more defensive-statted Rush minions in the game than there are aggressive or netural-stated ones?
Because that's actually the truth.
Granted, this is only taking into account minions that naturally have Rush, and not cards that gain it conditionally or generate a token with it.
Props to the "Uncharrrted Waters" title for the theme. I couldn't come up with a good name suggestion for it, and just said "Something clever about Pirates". I am not disappointed! :) 10/10
That would be me who suggested it, so you're welcome
Grand Duelist is a muskateer-type character; a "duel to the death"-like effect was already taken by Warmaul Challenger, so I went for something different.
Terror of the Tides seems possibly a bit too similar and more restrictive to Ratcatcher.
Kul Tiran Staffwielder seems good. Grand Duelist has a nice effect, although effects like it generally don't perform in Constructed at all.
You also only have 24 hours left to post yourself as a card to get the Card Designer Enthusiast title. After the results of this competition, the window is gone.
The first teasers for Saviors of Uldum (with Toggwaggle holding up the card with the Explorer's theme song) was actually exactly one year ago today, so we're certainly in range of them appearing.
More Feedback (I'm skipping those I think already submitted)

I like the Crystal Phoenix, it synergizes with random effects and the hand mage deck. The only change I would make would be to change the Temporal Loops to add something like 5 seconds to the timer, so that the player who plays it isn't pressed for time as much.
The reason the Temporal Loops don't refresh the timer is because otherwise it would be possible to stall the game indefinitely by playing Phoenix, then immediately playing Temporal Loop, and now the Phoenix would be back in your hand and you'd be able to generate other Temporal Loops by playing it over and over again.
That said, the animation would be long enough (using the same as the Toki Hero Power) to where you can't gain a net-positive in time with 5 seconds, so it might not be a worry.
I am really torn about how to properly balance my idea. Some say that the requirement is too easy, some say it is too hard. I based the balance on the requirement of Jan'alai, the Dragonhawk with the caveat that Ragnaros, Lightlord is quite weak compared to the Firelord version so the requirement had to be a bit less strict. Jan'alai also was printed during the Baku meta so the requirement was pretty much always met by turn 7.
So, now I have 3 options for the card and I want to see what card I should choose. I will go in the order of balance I think is best suited.
Please help me out if any of you have a suggestion regarding what I should pick
I'd say the hero version makes the most sense since you typically don't heal minions unless you use the Priest Hero Power, which you obviously won't have in Paladin.
Once again you guys surprise me. Didn't expected such aproval over Wether Forecast, thanks for the feedback. But about the use of Blizzard in it, i really didn't wanted change it, since a Blizzard is an actual climatic condition, but since there were lots of requests to change it, i've replaced Blizzard with... Volcano! Why Volcano do you ask me? Two reasons: 1- Rain of Toads were the one i was going to put, but the card ended up too wordy. 2- Healing Rain and Volcano are both from the Year of the Mammoth, so putting them together makes the card more realistic. Also, thats the same reason why i've decided to cut the second favorite: Earthquake. Hope you guys like the new version, and now my feedback.

Demonxz: I like it, but i would like it more if it costed (2) and had lower stats. Whirlkick Master was 2 mana and even yet it rarelly triggered its effect ( at least from my Arena experience), so a 2/2 or 2/3 stat line and a (2) cost would be better IMO.
Xarkkal: Yeah, 4 cost seens more fair and realistic. Removing Rush would just make it a little less insane, at 4 it would be at the same power level as Hyena Alpha, or maybe just a little bit higher. In general, i like it.
Nirast: Good callback to Blood of the Ancient One, i like it, but you probably should remove the line break after "into".
Grayghost: I don't know, Gift of the Wild is pretty bad even when generated, most of the time it i'll be just a 5/5 with Taunt. At about Power of the Wild or Wild Growth? It i'll make it less flavourful but also more versatile and useful.
CovenantKevlar: Three seens like a lot, it can complete the Shaman quest in one shot in the right situation. What about change it to " At the end of your turn, add an EVIL Cable Rat to your hand."?, it would make it more balanced and flavourful, passing the idea that the Cheese is smelling and is slowly attracting the rats.
KANSAS: Looks better than the old one, and if you remember, i was one of the few who liked the old one back in the "I Miss my X" comp. Honestly, i don't know how people didn't get the flavor from it, he does his work in a painful way, yet the client gets satisfied and pay him for his job, but since he works for you, the coin goes to you, that simple. Also, haven't people ever heard of golden teeths?
Cg8889: I Like it, but that effect is worth of an Epic card or even a Legendary but with more effects IMO. Not complaining tho, it's just a sugestion.
Pokeniner: Thats a lot of stats for 8 mana, even with the restriction. But i don't think it is broken, just really powerful, worth of making Mechlock a real thing, and as a Mech Warlock enthusiast ( for real, i played my Mechlock homebrew a lot when Boomsday came out) i realy liked it!
Bigcums: I'll be honest, i'm not a fan of Jan'alai's wannabes, i have a little runt on them, and since i'm suspected to evaluate it, i'll leave it to others to evaluate.
CursedParot: Really loved Misstres of Fate, but giving the Plot Twist Casts When Drawn would make a easy 5 star for me. Also, i'll should put () between the 1.
grumpymonk: Clever Marksman is my favorite, it's a good paralel to Violet Spellwing. I like Drill Sargent too, but it seens a little unrealistic, and for Brigitte Abbendis, as i said above, not a fan of Jan'alai's wannabes.
Bloodmefist: I like them all, but i like Set the Tabble a little more. It's balanced, flavorful and also funny. Good job on all of them.
Banananparty: Seens kinda meh, it i'll most of the time be just a 5 mana 5/7, and i'm not a fan of legendaries with nothing but raw stats. At about make it a 4 mana 5/7 or 7/5 and make it cast the fire ball right on your face? It would not only make it even more bulky for the stats, but also have a double edge blade, dealing a lot of damage to you, but also sinergizing with cards like Molten Giant, Hooked Reaver, Duskbat, etc.
anchorm4n: Really liked it, very flavourful. As you asked, i'll give some name suggestion, at about Menagerie Tamer, Circus Beastmaster, Flamering Sideshow, or maybe a mix of those? I don't know, at least i've tried.
linkblade: I'll would go with Primal Fury, it fits Druid more since board clears is not ecxatly their strenght and the flavour is amazing. Took me a while to realise (I'm a little sleepy today), but when i did i fell in love with it, nice job.
Kinda already submitted unfortunately.
But I love the flavor of your card. I'm not sure how practical it would be in terms of playability, but everything else is an A+.
Crystal Phoenix - One concern I have is-that you can create a paradox wherein you play the Phoenix, use the Temporal Loop on the same turn, and now you've done/learned various things without having spent the Loop card (because the Phoenix is back in your hand). You could do this "for free" every time you wanted to check for Secrets or whatever.
Slaith - I like the transformation effect, but every Deathrattle seems like too much, if you get to benefit from opposing Deathrattles. The 4/7/7 meme is real, though.
Aria - Remove the final Deathrattle and I think you've got something. Yeah I know that removes the phoenix "rising from the ashes" bit, but the card is just too powerful otherwise. If you want to leave it as a 7/7/7, it's that or take a hammer to the Spell Damage.
I'm pretty sure the Crystal Phoenix incident only applies on the very first turn you play the card, which honestly doesn't sound like that big of a deal to me. I like your thoughts about it though, that's using your noggin! I guess I should mention that Temporal Loop cards don't return to your hand if they were there when the turn starts.
Aria yeah, I can see some rebalancing done. Question though: Is the dormant condition good?

Setting the first sails to get started.
Link with win number 4!
Freeze Shaman definitely needed that winning card.
LesserHealer, you get to design the first prompt for season 2.
Perhaps the other Murloc cards may come back in his next set if it appears to be Murloc themed?
Yeah. I've actually seen many cards use that art because the user who made it presumably didn't know that it was used art.
Finalist voting is now up.

I'd actually love to see this be a recurring series, talking about how deck archetypes have evolved over time.

Since quite a few people skipped over me on page 1, I updated my post there.
