After we got the buff patch from Hearthstone, it popped into my mind maybe the Nerf a Card forum could be more. The idea behind it was that we wanted people to go the Blizzard route with card changes and since all they did was nerfs until the latest patch, that made the most sense.
The reason it isn't called game formats is because then that begs the question "why is Arena, Tavern Brawl, and Adventure not here? those are formats too"
There will be some filtering added in the future to the personal decks listing. It'll likely come once filters on deck listings themselves get an overhaul.
A special pre-order bundle is live after the MTG Arena maintenance today and it comes with:
50 Core Set 2020 Boosters
Chandra, Awakened Inferno with Card Style
M20 Card Sleeve (Obtained on purchase)
Like the War of the Spark pre-order, it'll set you back $50 USD. You can pre-order Core Set 2020 Bundle until July 2, 2019.

No plans on pulling an mmo-champion, that's for sure.
Since we're all from a Hearthstone background, it makes sense that there is very limited Magic discussion right now. I'm certain once we start expanding more into the game, we'll attract more visitors and maybe even pull people out of hiding. As it is right now, many people may not even know we have plans to cover magic and likely don't know about the one forum we have for it. It's also important once we start magic coverage we give people a way that don't want to see anything magic the ability to not see it.
Once we're comfortable with our Hearthstone features and coverage, full dev time goes into Magic to give it the same treatment we've given Hearthstone. It is gonna be one crazy journey.
I agree. We should have gotten some feedback on that before making it the default.
I've changed it so those on mobile will see news first. I'd like to make an option down the line so those that are logged in could choose what they want to see. Full site patch notes will be added later tonight.
It's all a work in progress! We're going to hit that hard but right now there's a bit more focus on creating tools and features for the community that is here already.
People are stupid and don't realize it was going on for a long time at this point. Not my fault no one in the company cared enough about HearthPwn to check in on it once a month. If they had such a problem with it, they should have said something directly to me.
But yeah, site was shutting down, they have no right to be angry.
We'll be good early on since things are just getting started, but it'll be interesting to see how things progress and how fast. HearthPwn definitely got pretty bad with some discussions and I don't want to see it replicated here. We'll likely be harsher in some areas and lighter in others when it comes to punishments.
Would it be possible to include a link back to the post that's being replied to at the top of a reply by default? Right now it feels like you have to quote-reply to make it clear who you're responding to because of the chronological sequencing of comments (which I prefer to the reddit system of nested comments BTW).
This is planned! I want posts that are a response to include a "In Response To User #000" with an easy link to go back and read.
It is no secret I'm a Nintendo fanboy. Whether you love me or hate me for it, I accept your decisions. I wanted to catalog all the awesome stuff Nintendo talked about today and with that, give people easy access to pre-order new titles which in turn helps support the site. I also hope that we can talk about all the announcements too.
There's a ton of stuff that came out in the direct, I'm primarily just looking at the first-party Nintendo stuff. There are a few other fan-favourites included (sorry if your favourite game didn't make the list.
Here's the full direct if you missed it

I recommend Imgur, it's what most people use.

Yeah I don't like how Wild was handled on HearthPwn. I definitely want to see change!

I wouldn't mind adding a little indentation arrow icon in the margin before a post to serve as a better indicator. Good feedback!
I like golden animation.
