Of all the cards, I most looking forward to Devolving Missiles. It has so much potential to just flat out irritate people. The fact that it doesn't rely on damage to devolve means that all the divine shields in the world won't help you. Let's just be glad that Blizzard didn't make it a full Devolve-Arcane Missiles hybrid that scaled with spell damage
I think that Rogue won out on this class hybrid thing. Most of the cards I think are going to be more useful for Rogues to pay with than Mages, but that remains to be seen.
I think pretty much every card in this dual class is going to be really useful and I'm looking forward to seeing how aggro will utilize Doctor Krastinov and Captain Greenskin
Am I the only one not psyched about Ceremonial Maul? It just seems so... meh to me. The reason why I say that is with the meta that we are facing and going into, Acidic Swamp Ooze is going to be more and more prevalent based on the weapons that are available to the classes. Even if you hold onto this to the bitter end and place it with a big drop spell, by the time T10 rolls around, your opponent should be able to deal with a 7/7 taunt on the board
It kills me and never ceases to amaze me that Even Shaman will always pop up at least once a month. IT comes in, wrecks house, and then disappears again. It's like the monthly groundhog for wild.
2 or 3 of these cards will be multiclassed, the other ones will just be used by the other class that gets something it didn't have before. These cards are great and will add a lot of flavor, but I don't see anything super abusive.
I am so looking forward to all of these cards. The versatility of them is ridiculous. Raise dead will be awesome for some lost cost CC for Warlock and Flesh Giant I wouldn't be surprised if it somehow get's a nerf, especially with how easily it will be for both Priest and Warlock to manipulate their life totals multiple times in a turn to "cheat" it out early.
I love this write up~! I am most hopeful of the Soul Fragment cards, not just because I am a Warlock player at heart but because I can see the potential.
Which brings me to the bad side. The fact that Warlock has so many draw mechanics, especially it's own Hero Power, at it's disposal makes me think that these cards will be targeted for an early nerf. The idea that you can life tap, draw one of these and heal the damage you just took and get another card, AND have them all count for Supreme Archaeology is going to make some people REALLY uncomfortable.
While not everyone will run Supreme Archaeology, but that is just one instance where it is instantly beneficial.
As for the Felosophy mechanic, this has HUGE potential in all formats, albeit Arena at the bottom. But this combined in a Prince Keleseth and top it off with Soul Infusion and you now have some seriously scary things to drop on the board next turn is intimidating. Yes, doing that would require you a "miracle" hand of say, Soul Infusion, Flame Imp, Felosophy, and a general lack of caring that you are going to punch yourself in the face for 9-12 damage. But you would be able to drop 4 6/5 minions on the board really fast or at the least a T3 1 mana 6/5.
I would totally love to do this, but I am in no way wanting to attend a Fireside with the current health situation. I know that there are work arounds for it, but honestly, the base reason why you would want to attend a Fireside is to interact in person and since Covid is rampant I feel like we are being hindered.
This is trying to be a good pick simply because of the Divine Shield. But with so many ways to disrupt that and have only a 1 health for a 4 drop is too much to be good. Maybe in Arena because you have less options but that is about it.
The RNG on this spellburst leaves something to be desired. In Arena, I can see this being a top pick because of the stealth effect, but since you need a spell to active the other ability makes it a bonus in that environment and not a priority.
I am not a Hunter fan. I am kinda ok with Demon Hunter because it embodies aspects of classes that I do like. These cards make me kind of inclined to want to play this classes more as they are doing things in a different way than the class has done with the last expansion. It is still going to be aggro AF. But I'm hoping that it will add a little more flavor.
I"m just bad at opening packs. for the past expansions I have my kids do it since they seems to have the magic touch. They get me the golden cards I like, they seem to crack legendaries I want, and get the epics I need. When I do it... I get stuff like above.
I think Magehunter and all the Soul Fragment cards are going to be the most played out of all of these. .

I love this deck already. And although it isn't a make or break card but oh no necessary, what would you suggest to replace Patches the Pirate?

All the lolz.

This was a great write up, thank you much for taking the time.
I think it's an awesome idea. Having the different card backs is totally an aesthetic thing anyway.

286 total points... I just can't get a break even when it's a simulator
