  • Both. The old versions will still exist, but only in Wild.

  • The Alliance equivalent to the Barrens is Goldshire. For very different reasons, although they're about equal on the meme scale.

  • That card back is absolutely gorgeous. I hope it's not added to one of the Blizzcon bundles retroactively (although maybe that gives me an excuse to pick up the Tracer mount for HotS).

There's also a couple of people wondering why there's a Horde symbol at the end, theorizing that we could get some HordevAlliance stuff.

Quilboar expansion for the Horde, followed by a gnoll expansion for the Alliance.

If you don't mind me asking, given that I started playing again today and managed to get to level 14 on the pass so far (mainly through quests and a few random achievements), do you think it is possible to still get to at least lvl 50 before the next expansion (without accounting for any potential events that would make it easier)?

I think it's possible, but it'll be tight.

All the levels from 36 - 50 take 5000 XP a piece. That's the bottleneck. The average daily quest is 1000 XP, while every batch of weeklies is exactly 6000 XP. So, you can make about 11,000 XP a week on quests alone. You have maybe nine weeks until the next expansion if it's on the usual schedule. You need about 144,200 XP to make it. If you have the Tavern Pass, you get more XP, so it might be just barely obtainable.

If the expansion comes out a month early like Darkmoon did, there's literally no way.

  • Having bought Darkmoon packs with gold until I was down to 2K, as well as paid another 2000 gold for Darkmoon Races, I'm currently just shy of 10K. Playing normally, I'd usually spend down to 2K and earn to ~8K by the next expansion. And there's still a month and a half left to go this season. I'd say this is a major improvement.

And I haven't even played every week!

  • My personal list of cards they could safely unnerf:

    Neutral

Abusive Sergeant, Bad Luck Albatross, Saronite Chain Gang, Bonemare, Archivist Elysiana, Dragonqueen Alexstrasza

    Demon Hunter

    Altruis the Outcast

    Druid

Wild Growth, Keeper of the Grove, Ancient of Lore (honestly, it would still be unplayable)

    Hunter

Hunter's Mark (to 1 or 0), Starving Buzzard, Dinotamer Brann

    Mage

    Dragoncaster

    Paladin

    Equality

    Priest

    Power Word: Shield

    Rogue

The Caverns Below (back to 5/5s), Blade Flurry (partially - mana reverted, but still only hits minions), Edwin VanCleef, Galakrond, the Nightmare

    Shaman

Rockbiter Weapon, Invocation of Frost, Flametongue Totem, Dragon's Pack, Corrupt Elementalist

    Warlock

Fiendish Rites (why was this nerfed?), Possessed Lackey

    Warrior

Fiery War Axe (as long as it's not in Standard), Warsong Commander, Scion of Ruin

  • I'm just here because I like to write short rhymes. Puzzles like this are why I stopped posting in this thread.

Anyways, Molten Giant. I'm gonna get there eventually.

Might be a good idea to raise all your hero to lv.60 to get all the golden basic cards, so you can get extra dusts when they rotated out.

You don't get any dust. You do get 235 cards for free, though

  • Basic, Classic, and the Hall of Fame are all gone, and are all going to Wild under a new set called Legacy. The cards are still playable but the labels are different. In Standard, we're getting a 235 Core set of free cards which changes every year, made of various cards from previous expansions as well a handful of originals.

The only Hall of Fame card they're adding to this year's Core set is Shadowform, but they could add more later.

As for this article, it's referring to the new Classic format, which is a mode where you'll be able to play Hearthstone as it was when it first launched. So, no card nerfs or Hall of Fame rotations.

Nope. I can say fairly safely that you won’t be able to brute-force the answer

Really? I'll see you in 2,801 guesses.

    Shirvallah, the Tiger

  • If you want to be an absolutely terrible person, use C'Thun, the Shattered. Before the game starts, you'll have to sit through the animation of him shattering and shuffling into the deck. Twenty-two times. You won't win any games, but you might make people concede.

I wouldn't call it intimidation, but I do acknowledge 1.000 win portraits in some kind of "okay, you're dealing with an expert here, be careful" kind of way.

I dunno. I had a 1,000 win Demon Hunter nuke his entire board with a Shardshatter Mystic a few months ago, letting me win the game.

1,000 wins is just time spent playing, not time spent playing well.

  • And here I was thinking that people complained when they nerfed Wild commons instead of giving more dust by nerfing a rarer card that more people have.

I guess it can be both, though. They're screwed either way.

  • Same. Although, I was hoping for something different considering I already have every single Darkmoon card. That's something the algorithm doesn't take into account.

  • Also, I should give my personal top ten:

  • Mark of Hakkar is 100% the worst card back. It's the most common card back, because unlocking it automatically switches you to it and most people don't care enough to switch back. I'm sick of seeing it.

  • You can see them in-game right now. If you go to the portraits tab in the collection, they're all visible along with SI:7 Anduin.

  • Kind of a lame brawl, bit it's nice for quests. Any gimmick brawl is better than just straight Encounter at the Crossroads.

As for people wishing this was constructed - as someone who plays a lot of Tavern Brawls each week, I kind of like not running into the same broken meta deck over and over. It's a lot more fun to just let crazy stuff happen sometimes.

  • It depends. Are you a collector or do you just want competitive cards? Do you have a big collection or not? $15 bucks for a guaranteed 66 cards is an absolutely fantastic deal no matter how you slice it, especially when most of the cards are pretty good.

If you just want a handful of cards, then of course getting just those handful is higher value.
