Hey look, it's the card design that was so overused when Magnetic was revealed that HearthCards stopped upvoted cards that did this. I suppose it was only a matter of time before Blizzard did it officially.
I'm hoping against all hope that Microsoft resurrects Heroes of the Storm. Despite what it looked like from the outside, an ex-Blizzard employee who was on the HotS team recently said that HotS was never in the red for its entire supported existence. Activision only tanked it because it wasn't making LoL-degrees of money.
Aggramar is better if you wait for two buffs before you attack. I don't think it's worth it if you just get the third buff only for the third swing, but getting at least a twofer each swing makes it a lot more interesting.
I love all the mythology nods in this set already. In Greek mythology, the three elder cyclopes forged many of the weapons used by the gods, most notably Zeus' lightning bolt. I believe that this card is paying homage to that, particularly since there are no cyclopes in WoW and ogres were not on Azeroth yet in the time this set takes place.
There are only eight named Titans in WoW, nine if we include Azeroth. It'll be interesting to see if some of those unnamed Titans that Sargeras killed are getting canon names.
EDIT: Also, my predictions for each class's Titan, from the ones we know:
Aggramar to Paladin, since he is the grand commander and the one who empowered Tyr.
Golganneth to Shaman, since represents storms.
Khaz'goroth to Warrior, since he's the forgemaster of the Titans.
Argus to Demon Hunter, since he's fel-corrupted and was the final boss of Legion.
Not really confident predicting Amul'Thul or Azeroth, since they don't speak to any of the remaining classes.
In Warlock I guess he could pair with the 1 drop that makes your hero immune on your turns. That way you get a 1/3 and 2/2 on turn 1 with no damage taken.
That doesn't work anymore. They changed Immune so that you still have to pay health costs, so that they could unban Stealer of Souls.
The design of every miniset is so good. So many on-point callbacks and interesting mechanics. The small pool must really let the cream rise to the top.
On the plus side, the banner art for mini-sets is typically a zoom-in on card art, and it looks like a Warrior Fire spell to me. It's probably a dual with another class.
"Play with the cards you have" is a fundamentally flawed system in the digital age. Net decks are so readily available that they're practically expected, and you will be facing against players that have all the good cards more often than you would on a playground. Plus, we're not children, we understand how to put together a functional deck that's made of more than the cards that look the prettiest.
They really need to abandon that philosophy. It sounds cool on paper, but it just doesn't function. It's a real shame, because the game looks insanely fun. I've been enjoying Regis playing it, even more than Hearthstone. But the horror stories of the unlock system have kept me from actually playing it myself.
Shadow Word: Horror is not just crept, but nuked from orbit.
Proto-goblin!
It's been a very long time since a Hearthstone set has satisfied the WoW lore nerd in me, but this one is hitting the spot.

This card can be quite strong in theory, but I don't know if it's worth the deck slot.

It's not cheating when you're paying 7 mana up front. Then it's just mana discounting.

TBH I thought Sargeras was so obvious that I forgot he wasn't among the ones that were revealed.

Blood Treant would be a better card if it were in Shaman. Easy cheat a 6-drop into play with Evolve effects.
First ever collectible Treant.
It took me a second to realise this was a Rogue card. I think they went a little too heavy on the Demon Hunter side for her artwork.

First ever dual-tribe Totem. It also sort of powercreeps Primalfin Totem (although obviously Murlocs are better than plain 1/1s for Shaman).
This reminds me a lot of Rat Trap, which was a pretty good card for a time in Standard. Unfortunately, this payoff is nowhere near as good.
I'm disappointed that Elite Tauren Champion is not a Warrior fire spell like I predicted it would be. Pretty neat card, though.
