Agree it should be back to (3). Because the effect is a Deathrattle.

    (3) 3/3 is best compromise if full unnerf is too much.

But at (4)+DR it kicks in too late to counter Reno, while also having a suboptimal body.

It's basically unplayable as it is now, especially in Wild, where it is a much required tech.

Nozdormu should've been reworked long ago to a completely different mechanic.

The 5 Dragon Aspects must stay together, and I don't like this selective kind of hotfixes because of a problematic mechanic.

Change the effect to something else instead of trying to avoid the card...

Now we need a strategy to make the brand interesting widely across the card games communities!

ie I follow OOC on daily basis (for HS), I participate here since a long while, but I'd never buy the t-shirt, because:

    1) style is ok, but not particularly fancy, and most importantly,

    2) the brand says nothing to others, not even in my social circle, so I wouldn't feel stylish or cool enough at wearing it. It'd be like a random shirt.

So we must find a way to improve point #2 and make it feel more unique.

Ofc the above is subjective to where I live, but I think it's relatable enough.

The mug instead is very cool on its own! Derpy Unicorn fits mugs and breakfasts with style. Maybe that item could be the real ram into the ooc brand marketing.

PS: what about alterations of the logo for seasonal holidays (winter jumper with Derpcorn wearing reindeer horns would be the dream)

PPS: maybe partnership with some streamers?

In general I think the game is currently revolving too much on pop-off turns on one hand, and card generation RNG on the other.

Either way it feels like you can hardly adjust your strategy and turns against these mechanics.

    BG's still free.

Constructed is in a weird position, both im Standard and in Wild. There are a number of huge powerspikes, including some that feel like cheating, in various decks, yet the meta doesn't really feel warped towards a particular archetype, so far.

To me, it's a weird situation of odi et amo.

I' m fairly sure more nerfs are incoming, but unless something oppressive emerges out of nowhere in Standard, I doubt they'll step in again before the meta has somewhat settled.

I'm sure they'll have to face a huge sh1tstorm and be forced to rollback, the day people without preorder will be unable to open their 70-80 packs out of gold (or any other source).

I mean, it's not like making F2P life harder will suddenly result in more people paying: you'll just get less people playing instead.

In my case, if the above happens, I'll probably be forced back to focus on less classes, or stop playing entirely if the grind is too frustrating and the rewards delayed in time after each Expansion.

And I'm fairly sure they are aware of that, so I do hope they will design the new system in a balanced way for everyone.

Big Priest is still as unpleasant as ever to play against, but:

    1. It's fairly absent from ladder (much less so in Casual I suspect)
    2. You can deal with it with a winrate that goes from sufficiently favourable to very favourable (with few exceptions), if you are playing a decently competitive deck and you know what you're doing.

So the situation is not ideal, but acceptable.

And I am a veteran BP hater.

Problem with multiple versions of cards is it multiplies the amount of work to design and keep them in check. Different versions of the same card are effectively different cards. They just can't do it.

About KT, while it is true that currently only Druid can effectively abuse it, it may not be the case forever (ie Shaman starts to gather interesting synergies).

Either way the real problem of KT is the discount to (0). He should discount to (1), and probably only one spell per turn. I don't even understand why they nerfed his base cost instead of his discount. It was obvious the problem would repeat, especially with printing even more (broken) Ramp cards...

At the end of the day, besides Druid's spike turns, I've hardly seen anything OP so far.

Paladin's Powerful but doesn't really feel OP.

I have yet to see some games with Warrior and Priest tho.

Well not really a must, but definitely a key card in a variety of Aggro/Tempo decks, especially the Odd ones.

I must say I am surprised by the absence of Loatheb, and the inclusion of Marshspawn, which is a good but kinda slow card.

Love the inclusion of Arcane Watcher tho.

Included Lorekeeper Polkelt (instead of flash of light).

Do notice that Polkelt should ONLY be used when you are FAIRLY SURE of what you want to play in the following turns, ie if you are fishing for lethal or survival (Reno).

In any other case, you should hold him in hand, as many key cards in the deck are low cost anyway.

They already have Wandmaker for major compensation.

She makes for less shenanigans than glyph but more reliability with Book of Specters.

I doubt QMage will even notice.

This change is more about feelings than real impact in the meta. Even moreso in Wild, where card pool is contnuously increased and chains increasingly unlikely. IMO.

I'm still unconvinced that Secret Passage deserves a nerf, despite its power. Because it's NOT draw 5, which in turn limits the abusability of the card: the higher your curve, the less you can abuse. But the lower your curve, the more easily you can be countered. Kingsbane Rogue power is bound to wane as soon as Tempo and swarm decks return to meta. And Odd Rogue can still be countered by Control with fair margins.

On the other hand, recently the Suicidal Warlock package has shown the power to warp the meta, at least in Wild, used in a Discolock shell or in full-blown Suicide Warlock. The deck can vomit stats and draw at an insane rate, so much so that Reno Priest can hardly control it, and maybe the only real counters are Burn/Face decks, still to be proved tho.

Raise Dead is an incredibly strong card, even on its own, and probably both Darkglare and Flesh Giant are too cheap for what they do. Maybe all 3 cards or at least two of them deserve a mana nerf.

This guide felt particularly interesting to read, even if I already knew most of it!

And I was thinking there should be a novel that tells of Scholomance from within. Maybe a multi-voice narration with each of the inhabitants of the Barov manor showing their lives and thoughts, fears, hopes and unspeakable desires, as they slowly discover the sinister and abominable transformation of their own home, into the nexus for the Cult of the Damned....

As a related sidenote, the more I play Wild, the more I think the mode is kept in balance by an Odd card, Loatheb.

Loatheb is the card that saves the favour of Aggro against Combo decks, and gives some chances against Control. Otherwise the margin would be really low.

    Quote From iWatchUSleep

People who are suggesting OP to play wild clearly haven't played wild constructed in a while.

It was bad enough for a control player in wild last expansion with Quest mage running rampant.

And now you've got Reno priest, which was already a top tier deck before, with a bunch of new cards AND druids with their regained innervate all over the place.

Wild is combo all around right now. Good luck playing a control deck there.

But as others have rightfully said already, there's plenty of viable control decks in standard right now.

Highlander mage, bomb/big warrior and galakrond priest (in order from most to least effective) are all more than serviceable decks.

Clearly your absolutistic statements about Wild are BS.

I'm not even bothering to argue with one who comments like that, as it would be a waste of time.

Just pointing out for the others that Reno Priest is NOT a Combo deck, despite its optional pew pew package. Reno Priest stays a Control deck - it actually looks more and more like a Tech deck.

And while QMage and MalyDruid seem to be revamped, so are many Aggro decks, and by far the average meta population is NOT Combo, it's Aggro - which means that a good chunk of the meta can be countered with properly tuned Control decks.

Dirty dream of getting some (new) Librams into the Paladin evergreen set.
