Quote From Out of Cards PreMission
- Uther: The Holy Light has always been a part of my life, illuminating everything in its radiance.
- Uther: With this blessing, I have been able to endure even the darkest of moments. Let me show you…
Intro
- Uther: As a lad, I was a cleric in the Church of the Holy Light. But my mentor already had plans for me…
- Uther: Yes, Archbishop.
- Alonsus: Uther, I must test your dedication to the Light.
Exchange
- Uther: How else would I improve?
- Uther: You seem worried, Archbishop.
- Alonsus: You have practiced for many years. Few others have been so diligent.
- Alonsus: Stormwind has fallen to the orc Horde. It grieves me to see such times.
- Alonsus: The Alliance needs more than our faith. We must bolster our strength, or it will not survive.
- Alonsus: Magnificent, lad!
- Alonsus: You were chosen by the Light.
Victory
- Uther: This… is an honor beyond words. I will make you proud.
- Alonsus: To withstand this war, the church needs a new order of protectors: the paladins.
- Alonsus: You shall be the first of them. I dub thee a Knight of the Silver Hand!
Loss
- Alonsus: Perhaps you are not ready yet, but I know that, one day, you will be.
Idle
- Alonsus: Taking an apprentice has been so rewarding.
- Alonsus: You can lose anything so long as you keep your faith.
- Alonsus: Sometimes I pray to the Light to see what awaits me, but there is only darkness.
HeroPower
- Alonsus: The Light is our strength.
- Alonsus: Light grant me wisdom.
- Alonsus: Guided by grace.
EmoteResponse
- Alonsus: You always make me smile, lad.

Quote From Out of Cards PreMission
- Uther: I grew in strength and piety. When the Horde came to Lordaeron's capital, I was ready to defend it.
- Uther: I loved my home and my people. I could not bear to see them besieged while I yet drew breath.
Intro
- Uther: Be gone, fiend!
- Orgrim: The war will not be over until this city falls!
Exchange
- Uther: It truly will, Turalyon.
- Uther: I'll return them to the blasted portal they came from!
- Uther: Do not speak to me of fate, you green-skinned brute!
- Uther: Our walls must hold!
- Uther: The walls are in peril!
- Uther: Could it be? The Horde forces have splintered!
- Orgrim: You only delay your fate.
- Orgrim: What's this?! My reinforcements are missing…
- Orgrim: Gul'dan has taken them! I knew he would betray me.
- Turalyon: The other paladins fight alongside you! The Alliance will hold its own!
- Turalyon: Well done! We are pressing them back!
Victory
- Uther: Thank you, my liege.
- Terenas: You fought well, paladin.
- Turalyon: The day is ours! The Horde has retreated into the hills.
Loss
- Orgrim: Our foes are vanquished! The Horde has triumphed!
Idle
- Orgrim: The owner of this hammer is prophesied to bring peace. But not today.
- Orgrim: We defeated the Alliance in Stormwind. We will defeat you here!
- Orgrim: This war will restore glory to the Horde.
HeroPower
- Orgrim: Bring me my hammer!
- Orgrim: Face the Doomhammer!
- Orgrim: I wield your doom!
EmoteResponse
- Orgrim: What are you getting at?

Quote From Out of Cards PreMission
- Uther: We tracked the Horde to their hiding place at Blackrock Spire. They'd built a fortress into the mountain, making it almost impossible to breach.
- Uther: Summoning our courage, we went to meet them head-on.
Intro
- Uther: Righteousness is the only advantage I need!
- Varok: You have no advantage here, human.
Exchange
- Uther: The tides have turned. Without the rest of your forces, you are hopeless.
- Uther: And I pity a monster who can never know the Light's grace.
- Uther: I suppose you're not used to that.
- Varok: Gul'dan's treachery is not your concern.
- Varok: Your kind is weak and foolish. I pity you.
- Varok: I'll give you one thing. You fight with honor. With conviction.
Victory
- Uther: Run and hide if you like. The Alliance always finds you.
- Varok: Again, we must retreat. But our day will come. Mark my words.
Loss
- Varok: Strength and honor will preserve the Horde forever.
Idle
- Varok: I am second only to Warchief Orgrim Doomhammer himself.
- Varok: I have only lost one battle. And I mean to keep it that way.
- Varok: The orcs were peaceful once. It was the Blood Curse that changed us.
HeroPower
- Varok: I am war itself.
- Varok: Glory to the Blackrock clan!
- Varok: Lok'tar ogar!
EmoteResponse
- Varok: Diplomacy has never been my strong suit.

Quote From Out of Cards PreMission
- Uther: Even as we made gains against the enemy and captured their leader Doomhammer, we knew not how the war would end.
- Uther: When the remaining Horde rallied around the Dark Portal, it was clear that we had to destroy it.
Intro
- Uther: Understood.
- Turalyon: Unleash everything you have at the portal! But don't let the Horde reinforcements outnumber you!
Exchange
- Uther: Wouldn't want to.
- Uther: I'll make sure he gets a shot.
- Uther: Khadgar, now!
- Turalyon: There's another world on the other side of that thing. Can you imagine it?
- Turalyon: As soon as the portal is vulnerable, Khadgar can destroy it!
- Turalyon: Be careful, the portal's summons are becoming more powerful!
Victory
- Uther: Thank the Light! It's gone!
- Turalyon: At last, we are finally safe.

Quote From Out of Cards PreMission
- Uther: Over the years, King Terenas entrusted the tutelage of his son, Prince Arthas, to me.
- Uther: I was not as young as I used to be, but helping that boy grow into a fine young man kept me going, same as ever.
- Uther: When the orcs started causing trouble again, we were quick to answer.
Intro
- Uther: Surrender the villagers, Blademaster!
- Uther: Not on my watch!
- Blademaster: I have other uses for them.
Exchange
- Uther: Remember, Arthas, we are paladins. Vengeance cannot be a part of what we do.
- Uther: If we allow our passions to turn to bloodlust, then we will become as vile as the orcs.
- Uther: Weren't you listening to me?
- Uther: You're a good lad, just a bit hot-headed. Think before you act.
- Uther: Because I said so!
- Arthas: Let's get in there and destroy the beasts!
- Arthas: Slay the orcs! Slay them all!
- Arthas: If I'm already good, why do I have to think?
Victory
- Uther: We've done well, lad. This was a sound victory.
- Uther: Have faith. We defeated their demons a long time ago. There's nothing left of them.
- Arthas: I don't know, Uther. Those orcs were trying to summon demons…
Loss
- Blademaster: Every sacrifice strengthens our masters' return…
Idle
- Blademaster: Soon, demons will rain from the sky, and this wretched world will burn!
- Blademaster: Let this appease our demon masters!
- Blademaster: We will never surrender.
HeroPower
- Blademaster: The warlocks demand sacrifices!
- Blademaster: Embrace the storm!
- Blademaster: My blade seeks vengeance.
EmoteResponse
- Blademaster: You have not seen what we have.

Quote From Out of Cards PreMission
- Uther: I was right. The orcs weren't a threat to us—something far worse was rising.
- Uther: It began when Jaina Proudmoore warned me that Arthas was under attack in the village of Hearthglen.
- Uther: I rushed to help him. What else could I do?
Intro
- Uther: For Lordaeron! For the king!
- Arthas: Uther, your timing couldn't have been better.
- Venim: You will freeze together!
Exchange
- Uther: Don't celebrate yet, son. This battle is far from over!
- Uther: What are these abominations?
- Uther: We knew people were getting sick, but not the cause…
- Uther: I'm surprised that you kept things together as long as you did.
- Uther: Now is not the time to be choking on pride! What we face here is only the beginning.
- Arthas: The Scourge. They started this plague by infecting the villagers' grain. And all who perish join them.
- Arthas: Look, I did the best I could, Uther!
Victory
- Arthas: We should strike at their leader! I'll go to Stratholme and kill Mal'Ganis myself if I have to!
- Arthas: I'm going. With or without you.
Loss
- Venim: Curious… he perished sooner than the master planned.
Idle
- Venim: You mustn't bother killing me. I've already been through that!
- Venim: The master has great plans for young Arthas.
- Venim: We've infected all of the grain. There is no hope for you.
HeroPower
- Venim: One by one, they turn.
- Venim: All submit sooner or later.
- Venim: Mal'Ganis is watching…
EmoteResponse
- Venim: I see.

Quote From Out of Cards PreMission
- Uther: Easy, lad. Brave as you are, you can't hope to defeat him all by yourself.
- Uther: Despite my misgivings, I followed the boy to Stratholme. The journey was a perilous one, with roads overrun by Scourge.
- Uther: My belief in Arthas, in his goodness, was too strong to push aside. I had to find him.
Intro
- Uther: Never! I won't let you harm him!
- MalGanis: Arthas abandoned you. Leave him.
- MalGanis: Hahaha…
Exchange
- Uther: Silence! You do not know his heart. I do.
- Uther: I won't give up!
- MalGanis: Even if you survive the road to Stratholme, your words will never reach him.
- MalGanis: The boy is already lost to you.
- MalGanis: Choke on your pride!
Victory
- Uther: How can you even consider that? I cannot obey that command!
- Uther: You've just crossed a terrible threshold, Arthas.
- Arthas: We're too late, Uther. These people have all been infected. The city must be purged.
- Arthas: Then I must consider this an act of treason. Get out of my sight!
- Jaina: I'm sorry, Arthas. I can't watch you do this.
Loss
- MalGanis: It was always your destiny to fail.
Idle
- MalGanis: Haven't you realized this was all part of our plan?
- MalGanis: None may halt the march of the Scourge.
- MalGanis: We will break you and the boy too.
HeroPower
- MalGanis: We are ETERNAL.
- MalGanis: Heed my voice.
- MalGanis: Time to settle the score.
EmoteResponse
- MalGanis: Is that all?

Quote From Out of Cards PreMission
- Uther: From that day forward, a darkness came over Arthas that could not be lifted. He turned against his own father, King Terenas.
- Uther: At that moment, I realized my worst enemy was the small lad I had raised to follow the Light. But still, my faith held.
Intro
- Uther: Your father ruled this land for seventy years, and you've ground it to dust in a matter of days.
- Arthas: Very dramatic, Uther. I'll make sure you die quickly.
Exchange
- Uther: I dearly hope that there's a special place in hell waiting for you.
- Uther: I would have done anything for you. Given my life, even.
- Uther: What could have changed you so?!
- Arthas: We may never know. I intend to live forever.
- Arthas: You still might…
- Arthas: Perhaps you're a bad teacher.
Victory
- Uther: You may think this was a defeat. But when I closed my eyes, there was only Light.
- Uther: I remembered everything I fought for… everyone I had loved and pledged loyalty to.
- Uther: And I knew I had lived up to my charge—to fight in the name of faith. I was blessed to do so.
Loss
- Arthas: Strange, I thought I would feel something at a moment like this.
Idle
- Arthas: You should have obeyed me.
- Arthas: I will shake the very foundations of the world.
- Arthas: You were right, Uther. I am vile… even more vile than the orcs.
HeroPower
- Arthas: You will know endless torment.
- Arthas: Frostmourne hungers…
- Arthas: Agh!
EmoteResponse
- Arthas: Haven't we talked enough?!
Comments
I'm looking forward to this solo adventure! Not even joking, this looks like it will be a lot of fun.
Well this reminds me to something i predicted 2 months ago in the Hearthstone's Book of Heroes - Datamined Release Order of All Heroes article... To quote myself:
"Also i'm really looking forward to Uthers book of heroes. I don't actually know too much about Uther, except for the fact that he teached Arthas, and that he was killed by Arthas, who was corrupted by The Lich King/Frostmourne. I wonder if the Uther book of heroes will end with "Uther gets killed by Arthas, and his soul (As we now know) partially absorbed into Frostmourne." That would be a unique twist to the book of heroes, as none of the other book of heroes ended like this yet. Either way Uthers book of heroes will probably include a bit of Arthas action."
CALLED IT, and i'm so hyped for it already! (But of course first Garrosh Book of Heroes, which will also be very interesting!)
Also all the new art for these reskinned cards like Silver Hand Zealot and Silver Hand Crusader look amazing! I WISH the book of heroes skins also changed the art on specific cards. That would have been so cool, it's so unfortunate that these really cool reskins of cards are pretty much only used for book of heroes... (adding these card skins would be a good trade-off for not having new animations on the hero-power & etc. with book of heroes skins i.m.o.)
Glad you could make it, Uther.
Fantastic foreshadowing considering what Uther does in the future...
Man that second boss has a pretty weird hero power we might need some more explanation as to what it does
