Very strong for clown druid, maybe a wall archetype again will make some apparition on the set
0 mana 2/3 when played, and 2 mana discount every turn it sticks. Not bad.
OBLIVION!
Decent Enough to see play!
Challenge me ... when you're ready to duel a god!
It appears that Taunt druid is becoming more and more possible again with these new cards being introduced.
At this point I have spent too much money on these games to quit.
Now pass me another pack, and lets see what I pull.
Hm there are a few 5 mana taunts like Greybough or Teacher's Pet to curve into, but not sure if deck itself will come together

Vanilla stats with upside, so good card in Taunt Druid. Does Hadronox return in the Core set?
Ok. So the taunt package makes a lot more since. Greybough looks like the center piece with this and the other new druid legendary, plaguemaw. Aside from dh getting a mass silence, this should be pretty good
This looks solid!
Taunt druid incoming
Hmmm. Do I have to craft Greybough now? This may help make taunt druid a viable thing.
Druid is going to be a wall of taunts
It's good, but maybe Druid has already access to better ways to cheat mana i feel like ?
I like it on paper, but in practice it feels like the kind of card that only works if you get on the board first and snowball ahead (which means running some of the average 2-mana taunts like Bonechewer Brawler to really capitalize on the initial effect).
I just can't imagine a deck that runs this, but maybe we get some really strong taunt synergy that works as a win condition.
I tried having fun once.
It was awful.
I like it. Obviously, a 0 Mana 2/3 with Taunt is nice for the second/any generated copies of this card. I don't think the discount will stack with multiple copies; that seems too strong, and (base Mana cost) - (2) is still (base Mana cost) - (2) even if there are two cards in play that reduce it by (2). But most potentially good Taunts tend to be 1 or 2 Mana too expensive.
How does this work with corrupt. I guess the effect will reduce all taunt costs in your hand until you play a taunt minion. But can I corrupt my Dreaming Drake by playing a 2-cost card, while Razormane Battleguard is on the field?
This one looks very promising. If unanswered on curve, you opponent will be in heaps of trouble when the Taunts start dropping. I might even go as far as to claim this could be a nerf candidate if those tempo swings prove too reliable and strong.
Mana cheat is very good
I believe so, as long as the 2-cost card isn't a 4-cost Taunt which makes the Drake's cost return to 3.
Ideally, we'll be getting a low-cost (2-4 mana) druid taunt that can easily be paired up with this. When combined with Greybough and the remaining neutral taunts, that could produce a viable deck, or at least a very annoying one to play against.
Premium 2 mana minion.
Given that druid's ramp is a thing this WILL see play one way or another.
Papa Nurgle wants to share his gifts.
As if Druid needed more support for taunts! Great card that allows crazy combos!
Good for Taunt Druid, not so much in other decks, maybe Clown deck? Idk
♡ u 4ever 2008 - 2022
Uh... ways to cheat things out of your hand faster with a class that mana ramps? I'll take two!
Greybough BBF
Great for this taunt druid they want to create . Greybough for 3 mana maybe good ,and the legendary on top could see something maybe not this expansion but in the future.
This two new cards (will repeat the comment) are excelent This new synergy is crazy.... if you play the taunt guy the same turn the little guy goes for 0 mana. And the legendary... Damn....
Lemushki - The one and only since the 2006 rebranding.
Decent card to help drop larger minions sooner
Decent stats with mana cheating ability? Count me in
English is not my native language, so please excuse occasional mistakes
A River Crocolisk that costs 0 mana when played before a Taunt is not a good card. Not in Druid, anyway.
And yes, that's all this is, because it's not going to stick consistently enough to be worth including.
On the long list of effects that can singlehandedly make decks become viable, I think 'enables cheating of mana during the first few turns of the game' is right at the tippytop. This can allow you to pull out 4 mana worth of minion on turn 2, which is madness for how consistent it could be. Even if you don't draw into that, if it sticks you could have 5 mana worth of minion on turn 3... absolutely a five star Michelin card, top tier diners, drive ins, and dives, finally, some good fucking food.
Better call Thrall!
cost redcution is always welcome esspecialy in wild for combo decks
Mana cheat is pretty much always good. It's good when it discounts 1 minion, then it's protected, and if it sticks for one turn it gets insane value. Play this on two with a taunt, play Greybough on 3, play Plaguemaw the Rotting on turn 4, gg.
Functionally a 0 mana 2/3 in a deck that wants to play taunts....seems great.
this is basically a 0 mana 2/3 if you play a taunt. and you get benefits next turn too if this lives. crazy
DOn't think it will stick around on board for long, but looks good.
Mana cheat - oh yeah! Foxy was pretty useless, so this won't see ANY play.
Just free with taunt
Yeah I mean, this can be a strong early minion, I love taunts so nice to see the mechanic being empowered.
I like the idea of this in a corrupt deck. Wonder how the two will interact, but it would be much easier to corrupt discounted taunts. This + anything 2 or higher corrupts that taunt dragon, this + 6 mana+ corrupts the 7 mana 6/6, and this + even guardian animals corrupts clowns. So I see this fitting naturally into that deck.
Found you!
Chumbawumba is the worst band name.
This is a pretty good card that appears to be getting plenty of support in this expansion.
Nope, but there's always Wild for such shenanigans ^^
Struggle with Heroic Galakrond's Awakening? I got your back :
Teacher's Pet on t3 sounds good.
By The Holy Light!
This card is strong. If you were planning on dropping a taunt this turn, it's a 0-cost 2/3 with upside for future turns.
With this much support taunt druid will see play. Whether only for a week or it will establish itself wil be seen.
I am more and more tempted to craft Greybough
I am 69 years old and still reach Legend
What a beautiful Taunt Druid deck
druid can ramp and mana discount, they are going to build huge taunt walls against aggro
It's ok, but it will difficult survive one round to give you the discount...
This is a very powerful effect, but only if you can make it stick, which doesn't seem likely.
Wait, if you play this at 10 mana when you have Carnival Clown in hand, then play any 8-mana card (not a taunt minion), you will corrupt the Clown. Right? This could be a neat way to corrupt Clowns without having to play a 10-mana card.
"Be excellent to each other." -Bill and Ted
Could be nice for taunt druid
Ribbit
A neat trick this card provides is making Corrupt Taunts like Dreaming Drake, Strongman, and Carnival Clown easier to Corrupt. While this is on the board, the cost of the Corrupt Taunts in-hand is reduced by 2, so the requirement for corrupting should be much easier.
Oooo yay. My Greybough was looking forward to seeing more action. Taunt druid looks very awesome to play, but annoying to play against. I like it 😁
TREMBLE before.... the most legendary dragon that ever existed!
taunt druid hmm, dont like the idea so much but could be better than token stuff what is even better is token + taunt combo
Very fun taunt druid support. This card really pushed forward the taunt heavy archetype, and could be a key piece of the deck. It is likely to be a must kill when dropped, so also not bad.
If you're building a deck full of taunts, this guy is just a free 2/3 most of the time.
Just don't go dreaming that this card would survive more than a turn.
Not bad, it already pays for itself the turn you play it, and if it survives (which is fairly likely since you just played a taunt) you will be cheating things out 2 turns sooner. This should see a fair amount of play if this taunt druid is any good.
Carrion, my wayward grub.
Looks quite good, can't wait to see taunt druid
Will see play in Arena as a vanilla statted minion, but I doubt a Taunt Druid will live on after the experimentation phase. Maybe, this makes sense in some Hadronox lists in Wild.
Arena > Wild > Standard
How ironical is the fact that druid will receive a better support for taunt archetype than warrior have ever received
Murlocs <3
Not great, not terrible
-=alfi=-
Alright card, good to cheat out cheap taunts. Not sure that's the way taunts want to go but any discount can be abused.
Casual Dragon Cardgame enthusiast.
This does look scary, big snowball potential, not easy to clear early. It forces midrangey Druid build, which would be a nice change from spell archetypes if it succeeds. Good one
Seems solid, curves very well into Teachers Pet and synergizes well with the taunt legendary, I hope the deck is fun
Dreaming Drake loves this. After playing Razormane Battleguard, I believe Dreaming Drake will be corruptible by 2 mana cards making it insanely easy to stick a 1 mana 5/6 Taunt. Not only that, since Razormane Battleguard discounts Taunts, the opponent will most likely have to go through the Taunt before killing him, making Razormane Battleguard surprisingly sticky.
Rating cards on coolness factor rather than predicting power because I like screwing up rating averages (and because I suck at predicting real power levels, but we'll ignore that LUL)
Wins per class (2/6/22): DH-197; Druid-996; Hunter-91«60; Mage-1056; Paladin-1126; Priest-746; Rogue-961; Shaman-1095; Warlock-871; Warrior-906
That is a good card in order to push this taunt druid archetype. Will see...
Saronite Chain Gang and friends will see play again
Rogue DH
We will see a lot of Greybough this expansion
With this card whole concept of Taunt Druid getting stronger and stronger.
Definitely getting lots of support for taunt druid. Now we just need to know what taunt minions will be available.
Playing this and a 2 mana (now 0 mana) Taunt will be VERY strong. Just play this and Bonechewer Brawler on turn 2 and you're pretty much set. That could even allow you to curve into a turn 3 Greybough.
Taunt Druid was one of the decks I hated facing the most back then. Thankfully there's no Hadronox-type card this time around, so maybe this new archetype they're pushing won't be as annoying.
That said, Razormane Battleguard is a solid card that will probably only see play in the Taunt Druid archetype.
Good with Greybough. Really strong is survive, you can cheat a bigger taunt
You said it right there
I'm not online it's just your imagination
Looks interesting, would obviously be a staple in any taunt druid.
Taunt Druid new meta?
good card
Kenny's little poet. 😇
Seems good on paper, but in practice i'm not sure. It could reduce the cost of your clowns to 7 mana when your on 10 mana, and then corrupt it with Cenarion Ward or Guardian Animals. So that's a use of it, makes you less reliant of drawing Survival of the Fittest, even though Clown druid will probably use Primordial Protector to draw the Survival of the Fittest....
ACTUALLY when druid has 10 mana they can Razormane Battleguard + Primordial Protector and both draw Survival of the Fittest & summon a 10 cost minion, AND corrupt Carnival Clown in the same turn! Actually i'm changing my mind about Razormane Battleguard, it has a LOT of potential and druids ramp + now mana cheating could end up with something very powerfull.
RNG is only fun as long as there is a 50/50 chance of getting something really good or trash level of bad. If RNG always results in something good, then it's not fun.
this and Annoy-o-Tron on turn2 seems good
This with any good 2 mana taunt seems amazing. We might have an aggro taunt druid.
I have trouble seeing this being played. If you are going for tempo or aggro I think Druid has better methods and if you are going for huge taunts at the end of the game I think you'd rather just have more of them alongside ramp cards, of which a fair amount aren't leaving.
Looks ok-ish, but idk, feels too aggro for a Taunt (= control) deck. Greybough sounds great, but in reality it's probably too "mild" for druid and its combos.
Has good body, but if it is killed without any time to activate, it is just a river croc, which sucks so bad.
Great tool.
I've been here a while; just hanging out in the background.
This is a really high tempo card, and it's better than Foxy Fraud, because if you're playing this and then a taunt, this is more likely to survive to board damage and give you a second discount next turn.
Taunt druid incoming
That is a staple card.
Taunt Studies
4 Mana 7/7
These are all the taunt minions in standard.
You can play this with Bonechewer Brawler or Annoy-o-Tron on turn 2. If your opponent can't answer it, you can easily snowball the game.
Imagine dropping Greybough on turn 3, or to a lesser extent Teacher's Pet or Ruststeed Raider.
Taunt Druid
This seems like a worthwhile inclusion in Taunt Druid. It will essentially be a free 2 / 3 most of the time, and sometimes better than that.
cool card. nice for clowns too
Discount for taunt decks. Also more mana cheat for Druids. Decent but Druids have other options that might be better.
Lol imagine ppl like me who thinked they have found a bad legendary time ago!
For The HORDE!
very good in taunt deck.
Free taunt, and if it survives you get free mana, nice
very good taunt druid enabler - though not very confident this archetype will work, this card seems good enough to be tried
taunt synergy
I like that this helps to enable Taunt Druid, and cheat out big bodies (while coincidentally being protected by the Taunt minions it enables). Can be really good on curve with Annoy-o-Tron or the Toad boy, then you can get into your bigger Taunts and keep protecting this guy. Very good for Taunt Druid, you will feel it in the games when you don't have him early.
I don't want to cure cancer; I want to turn people into dinosaurs.
Very strong druid card, mana cheat always is good
This has potential, might help push Taunt Druid a bit futher as a meta deck
Druid might just have a decent taunt build coming. I've not seen many people talking about it, but I think it could be a sleeper deck.
Unfortunately, common sense isn't as common as it should be.
very nice, with the oppurtunity to get two solid minions out on turn two
if you protect it, mana cheating each turn can be good
Seems very strong for archetypes that already have a foundation in Druid.
Pretty good mana cheat. It pays for itself immediately and only generates more value the longer it survives. The Taunt minions can also protect it. The only question is whether Taunt Druid will be a thing.
This will single handedly make taunt druid work. Such a scary card
Strong 2 drop
Really seem to be pushing taunt druid this set.
Seems unlikely to survive on curve, but it's basically free if you play a taunt the same turn, so... not bad?
~ An expertly disguised dinosaur
Can reduce cards to 0, so if you have a 2 mana Taunt in hand you can drop them both at the same time, which is a pretty good swing early on. I'll try out Taunt Druid just for Mark of the Spikeshell, but cards like this do make me wonder if it might actually be good.
Welcome to the site!
Taunt druid making a comeback! Did it ever leave? Do we actually want it back? I don't know. All I know is that cards that steeply discount other cards are very powerful, even if it's an aura effect instead of a permanent decrease.
Lets go taunt Druid :)
Invalid Deck ID
There are some interesting applications with this in an aggressive Taunt Druid deck cheating out a Toad of the Wilds or Bonechewer Brawler alongside this. Razormane Battleguard isn't consistent enough mana cheat to warrant inclusion in a slower Druid deck, but it is aggressive enough with low cost taunts. This probably isn't more aggressive than Token Druid, but it is something to keep an eye out for in the future.
For glory, honor, and gold!
