I played with no Legend Budget decks and had a better winrate than any current vicious syndicate tier2 decks. And I sucked last season!
edit: eg last deck. my opponents play cards nobody plays. I can't play around them. Like the Priest caravan. Opponent was dead, but he/she/it can expandable perforfancers out it 3 times, which was exactly one more than enough. Or some Druid whom I killed both 2/4 summon stuff agin which costs <2. He/she/it had a macigal 3rd one....
This was not supposed to be a salt thread, but I'm getting more and more salty.l The only reason to explain this, that HS Mathematics a right and HS is dying and I'm just facing pros. Noobs are gone.
I hate to tell you this, but it sounds like you are the kind of player who can only win when you know what you're up against. If the opponent runs weird cards or a completely off-meta deck, you don't know what to do. You're not alone -- there are plenty of players like you. But what this means is that you were 100% correct when you said you are not a good player.
You need to improve on the fundamentals. I recommend watching some people play Arena or watching an educational Arena basics video. The knowledge of tempo vs. value, making good trades, when to use your health as a resource -- all of this transfers to Standard, especially when you are facing decks you've never seen before.
Personally I will be trying out a control Warlock that hopes to ruin your day with Tamsin and a couple of 1 mana spells that won't be fun for any of you if it works. Low minions so gonna top it off with Kazakhstan or whatever its name is.
Does anyone know if it works if you have zero minions in deck?
Cora confirmed in a tweet that Kazakusan works just fine if you have no minions at all.
It is relevant because expecting a ton of originality in Hearthstone is a pipe dream, and complaining about a lack of originality makes it look like you haven't been paying attention.
I've got news for you: Any design in Hearthstone that's not recycled is probably lifted from another game, usually Shadowverse or Runeterra. So if you're expecting anything that's mechanically novel or groundbreaking, you need to play something else.
First, it depends on how many cards are left in your deck when you play Lady Prestor.
Second, the Dragon pool is about to get much larger, so the chances of any particular Dragon are smaller.
Third, you won't know how many Kazakusans you got until you've drawn them.
Fourth, once you play a Kazakusan, you lose any undrawn copies still in your deck (because your deck is now 10 treasures and nothing else).
So are you going to try to play through your whole deck before you play one of the generated Kazakusans? If you're not getting killed, you're going to win the game long before that happens.
In summary, multiple Kazakusans will not be a bigger problem than the first Kazakusan.
This is the kind of extremely powerful card that contributes to the overall brokenness of the Paladin class. People will underestimate it because it looks so harmless, but it's pretty much autoinclude.
Frostbite is pretty important in Freeze Elemental Shaman, so whatever.
Also, if Rancor didn't stop people from playing 2-health minions (back when Warrior was good), honorable kill isn't going to, either. If a card is good for a deck, you play it. You don't start avoiding it because one class out of ten has a punishment for it.
Defile is not the same at all because you just hold the minion until a point when the punishment isn't as serious. You wouldn't just completely leave 1-drops out of your deck or never play the ones you have.
I should have specified that my comment was directed at readers, not site managers. I'm sure the way they are putting out the reveals is quite frustrating for you, but for the rest of us it makes very little difference in the end.

Predictions about what will happen to a given archetype after the annual rotation are seldom accurate.

You don't think Dragon Priest will use it? I'm pretty sure Dragon Priest will use it.

Cora caught a lot of sexist flak when she was a caster, but I always liked her back then. I think I like her even more now!
If Waxadred had divine shield and lifesteal, he probably would have seen more play. :-P
There is not a single OTK deck in the top 10 right now. Do they exist? Yes. Do they work sometimes? Yes.
But they are not the most popular or the most powerful. There's plenty of room for long games

But how does it worrrrrrrrk?
I'm now 85 percent certain we're going to see new powerful deathrattles.
Oh, Blizzard with its incompetent (or nonexistent) editing staff. It's "number," not "amount" when you can count the thing.

Yeah, the term "power creep" does not really apply to cards from different classes.
There are honorable kill cards that prey upon minions with 1, 2, and 3 health. If you avoid playing them all, you'll have no early game.
Elwynn Boar support!
Also Sunscale Raptor support!
Don't Stand in the Fire! is a way better name, anyway. I'm glad they had to change it. It fits much better with the whole Onyxia raid theme.
